Hamilton Fan Cast
Project Overview
This is a Fancast of Hamilton the musical! We look forward to hearing the auditions! Please pay close attention to the rules below and use the Audition Templates when auditioning. Have fun and good luck!
Please Join the discord at: https://discord.gg/Z5w3pyDvvg
The discord is how we will communicate all important dates and information in the future.
☆ AUDITION RULES!you must use the audition template and submit the required song snippet for your audition to be considered!.
you can audition for as many roles as you'd like, but you'll only be casted as one character. that being said, all cast members will sing as ensemble in the appropriate songs.
some songs will end up with the key shifted. we'll work with everyone in those songs to make sure you can still sing them in your range!
feel free to react (kindly) to other people's auditions! (with emojis -- keep the threads clean of any text)
this project isn't age restricted (outside of the 13+ age limit that discord has, of course) WITH THE EXCEPTION OF: Maria Reynolds, Hercules Mulligan, Alexander Hamilton.
You must stay on temp/beat/time during your audition. If you can not maintain singing the correct words without stumbling or messing up and if you can not stay on beat you will not get a specific role. This mainly pertains to raps. It is VERY important you can do the raps. Everything else is.. a further down the requirement list. Take for example Lafayette, in Guns and Ships. If you can not successfully sing his rap during your audition you will not be considered for the role.
BUT DO NOT FRET! Casting won’t happen probably until the end of June beginning of July. Maybe earlier. There is plenty of time to practice! If you fail once, that is not an automatic fail! Try again! And again and again! Until you get it right. You can resubmit your audition as many times. Just edit your original audition and replace the file/video and ping me and or the mods and clearly state in your new message that you have updated your audition. This goes for all roles. There will be a time limit on how long you can do this for. I’ll let you all know when I’m done accepting retakes These rules apply to all moderators, myself included. For my audition will be decided by moderators. Everyone else’s auditions will be determined by me and possibly another moderator.
☆ AUDITION INFO!i am separating main cast and secondary cast based on what these two websites say ( ht.tps://castfacts.com/hamilton/ ) (https://stageagent.com/shows/musical/4417/hamilton/characters )
if you audition for and are casted as a character who does not match your own gender identity, then we're not worrying about changing names/pronouns of the characters to fit. that being said, if this will cause dysphoria or related discomfort for you, we'll go ahead and change the lyrics accordingly!
anyone, regardless of gender and vocal range, can audition for any character!
