Haikyu!!! FULL SERIES DUBBING

Haikyu!!! FULL SERIES DUBBING

Project Overview

This is a full series fandub of the volleyball anime Haikyu!!! This involves the first to third seasons. I've been practicing work with fandubbing recently and I'm the head of The Exceed Squad where I work on Abridged parodies so I know how to edit and direct this to make it as professional as possible. I've wanted to dub Haikyu for a while so I want to do this right. I expect you to be able to do your own takes on the voices but also listen to my direction to adjust your voice and fix lines. I want us to have fun with this and be proud of the end project. Keep in mind. This is a dub. You'll need to be matching mouth flaps.

Needed:

- good quality mic with no background noise.

-Skype and/or Twitter for contact purpose.

- Please do THREE TAKES of each line so I can hear a variety of ways you can deliver lines.

Thanks for your interest and good luck to everyone!

  • Kindaichi Up for Auditions

Yutaro Kindaichi, needed in episode one and a recurring character has been added to the open auditions! He's a fun  character that plays on one of the most recurring opposing teams, one of the main rivals of the Karasuno team.

cast offsite

Tadashi is Kei's best friend. He looks up to him more than anyone, but Tadashi himself isn't all that talented and is likely the most timid player on the team. He strives to get better but is yet to be named a regular player on the team.

Voice: Mid-high, semi-soft, but not too soft.

  • Don't mind him, he can kinda just be that way.

  • Tsukki has always been so cool to me.

is Karasuno's tough guy. He's full of energy and aggression but he's a nice enough guy at the end of the day. Sometimes he just gets a little ahead of himself. He's one of Karasuno's starting players
Voice: Mid, energetic/intimidating

  • Hey, Hinata! Are you ready for something cool?

  • You're way short and sucked, but you've got guts! (To Hinata)

  • Aw, YEEAAHHH! (After getting a point)

Nishi is one of the most energetic characters. He's a solid mix between Hinata and Tanaka; energetic, but tough and confident. He's small, but very talented and a great libero for the Karasuno team.

voice: Mid-high, energetic.

  • KIYOKO! I'VE COME TO SEE YOU! (Way too excited)

  • Shut up! A whimp is a whimp! If Asahi isn't coming back than neither am I!

  • Call for a toss again, Ace! (Very agressive)

Kei is very laid back. He's cool and collected and doesn't really give a damn. For the most part he seems both indifferent about winning or losing, or really anything, but he's a first year with a lot of height and is a talented blocker.

  • Agh, lame...

  • I have to hang all day with this slovenly bunch? What's the fun in that?

  • Why do you try so hard?

Asahi is a third year that quit after losing in an important match the prior season. He's convinced to join the team again by Hinata and continues to serve as the team's ace. He's a big guy who may seem a bit intimidating, but he's likely the friendliest and softest guy on the team.

Voice: Mid-low, friendly.

  • I came moseying back and stand on the court without a purpose... I feel pathetic. But... I really do like being here.

  • Blocked again. I've lost count of how many they've blocked.

  • One more! (Very agressive. At the top of your lungs for this)

Sugawara is typically very level headed and laid back. He's supportive towards all of his teammates even when it means having to sacrifice himself for the better of the team. He's a third-year and was originally the starting setter before Kageyama arrived.

Voice: Mid - Slightly soft and calm. If a popular VA was to voice him, I'd cast Josh Grelle the same way he played Zen in Snow White with The Red Hair.

  • It's good to be ambitious, right?

  • I'm the official setter of Karasuno, you know.

  • But Hinata, is beating Kageyama the only thing you want out of volleyball?

Daichi is a third year for Karasuno. He's the team captain and is friendly but also very collected, he may very well be the most mature character on the team. He doesn't have one talent that puts him above the rest, but his ability to stay calm and keep the team rolling while being equally good at everything that makes a good player is what let's him stand out.

Voice: Mid, calm.

  • Guys, you know you're not enemies anymore - Volleyball is about teamwork. (getting Hinata/Kageyama to calm down)

  • I'm not telling you guys to become buddies. Even if you were enemies on opposite sides of the net in junior high, I need you to understand that now, you're on the same side.

  • Karasuno, Fight! (cheer)

Kageyama is a Stern first year with a lot of talent. He's so serious that sometimes he can be a little clueless about anything not related to volleyball. He's determined and set on winning but he also will celebrate in those heat of the moment successes.
Voice: Mid-low. Cool, collected.

  • I'll toss to anyone who's essential to winning. Right now, I don't think you're essential to winning.

  • "Don't give up!" That's not as easy as it sounds. (Stern)

  • Hinata! Nice kill!

Yutaro Kindaichi

Yutaro played on the same team as Kageyama in middle school. He's a good player, but Kageyama refused to toss to him and match their talents together. Eventually, Kindaichi rebelled and stopped jumping for Kageyama's tosses. He ends up playing for powerhouse team Aoba Johsai against Kageyama on Karasuno.

Voice type: Mid/mid-low, confident

  • I didn't really get along with you from the start! And that's why next time, we will definitely win! (Facing off against Kageyama)

  • He is pretty good at receiving, blocking and serving. But he's awful at setting. (Talking about Kageyama)

  • He's called the egocentric king for a reason. He throws away anything he doesn't need to win.
