Project Overview




Basically, I want to fandub the new anime Hai to Gensou no Grimgar! There's an English dub out but it, sadly, sucks. I have my friend John helping me with the project so it should be easier for us to accomplish! I'd like good quality recordings please. Bad mics can be hard to work with in fandubs. Speak loudly and clearly and give it your best!







***Almost every character is going to have to make other sounds so please keep in mind it's not just words there are going to be grunts and ahs and gasps and gahs!***







Plot:



Why are we here? Why are we doing this? Before Haruhiro had realized what happened, he was surrounded by darkness. Why was he here? Where was here? Even now, he still didn't know. Those around him were the same as him, no one remembered anything other than their own names. And when they emerged from the darkness, the world that awaited them seemed like something out of a video game. In order to survive, Haruhiro forms a party with the others, learns fighting skills, and as a soldier in the reserve force, takes his first steps into the world of Grimgar. What awaits him there, he doesn't know... This the story of an adventure born from the ashes.

Yume is very bubbly and kind. She sticks by Shihoru and stands up for her at all times. As a member of the Hunter guild, she is given both a bow and a dagger.

Manato is the Priest and leader of Haruhiro's party. Manato is very caring an very kind. He uses his healing power to help out in every single battle. He is the one who holds the party together. Without Manato, the rest of their party would probably be dead.

Mary is a Priest just like Manato. She is quiet and distant and comes off as cold. The group learns about her past and why she is like that, and slowly get to know the real her. Although she is very monotone and calm, there are scenes where she is SOBBING with plenty of emotion.

Brittany is a very confident, very flamboyant, very creepy guy. He is chief and host of the Red Moon office of the Volunteer Soldier Squad for Otana's Borderland Brigade. I really love his voice in the English Dub (Even though I don't like the others in the dub) and it's exactly what I'm looking for. Here's the example:

Shihoru is shy towards strangers and has low experience communicating with the opposite gender as well. Her close but compulsory affiliation with Manato, which led to a one sided crush, only added to her inept sociability. As a Mage with virtually no defensive skills, Shihoru relies on the rest of the party to distract the enemies while charging up spells to stun or disable the target from range.

Moguzo is one of the shyest characters in the show. He doesn't speak much, but he is the strongest of the group. He loves to cook and carve things out of wood. He is the Warrior of the group and is weapon is The Big Sword.

Barbara is the teacher of Thieves. Dressed very... provocatively, (voice is also provocative sounding) she isn't afraid to really get up into peoples' personal spaces. Ranta is a self-boasting, loud and rude member who seemingly is oblivious to his own behavior. He has no quints in making crude comments towards the girls and yet seemingly not making any serious advances. Ranta serves as a second tank to the party. Being lightly armored, the Dark Knight makes use of the terrain and the reach of his own weapon to position himself out of the enemy's striking range while using sword-skills to strike back.

  • *Angry/Annoyed* What are you doing Haruhiro??? Get him he's coming back!!!

  • *Irritated/Whiny* Renji and his group aren't hiding like scared little kids.

Haruhiro is the main character of the show. An awkward person at first, Haruhiro steadily becomes more outgoing. Though he is still awkward with new people, he seems to have taken on a support role in the group. As a Thief, Haruhiro excels at surprise attacks and distractions.

  • *Confused/Disappointed* We're already all tired and the battle hasn't even been going on that long....

  • *Confused* I woke up in a strange room, unable to remember anything before that moment. I didn't know how I'd gotten there, how long I'd been there, or where I'd come from.
