Grayvale: Endless Rain (Trailer)
Project Overview
A project by https://youtube.com/@phianimations?si=1LH8tLjdKM8EEnUu
A psychological horror inspired by Silent Hill, Alan Wake, and Control. The story follows a government agent from the shadowy ISD — a secretive agency buried deep in conspiracy — as they pursue a whistleblower into the decaying city of Grayvale, a place cursed with secrets and drowned in endless rain. When the agent crosses its borders, they become trapped in a liminal realm where reality bends, guilt takes shape, and monsters wear the faces of regret. The further they dig into the mystery, the clearer it becomes: the connection between the ISD and the supernatural entity known only as The Sky in Grayvale runs deeper — and darker — than anyone could imagine.

Cool, enigmatic, and emotionally reserved — the type who speaks softly but carries weight in every word. She’s the embodiment of stoicism and quiet resilience, masking her motives behind a calm, unreadable gaze. Despite the chaos around her, she rarely breaks composure, but when she does, it’s devastating.
Voice: Sounds similar to Tiffany Grant as Asuka Langley Soryu but with the detachment of Rei Ayanami. Alternatively, think Mimi Woods as Motoko Kusanagi — composed and deliberate, but in a younger, uncertain body.

You’re a fed? What business do you people have here?
My name is... just call me Michelle.
(Cold whisper) Jonathan... The Sky... will not let go.
Jonathan’s superior within the ISD — calculating, clinical, and emotionally detached. His voice should convey absolute control: calm authority with an undertone of menace. He doesn’t raise his voice; he doesn’t need to. Every word is precise, and every phrase feels like it was rehearsed behind a corporate desk and weaponized for manipulation.
Voice: Modeled after Giancarlo Esposito (Gus Fring) — sharp diction, deliberate pacing, unnervingly polite.

All that is known is that the whistleblower was a former data analyst from ISD Sector 7 and is headed into Grayvale.
You don’t need the whole story, Agent. You just need to finish the job.
(Coldly) The ISD doesn’t deal in faith, Jonathan. We deal in results.
Jonathan’s colleague and reluctant comic relief — the guy who cracks jokes when things get grim, but it’s clearly a defense mechanism. He’s loyal, rough around the edges, and masks his fear behind sarcasm.
Voice: Similar to Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman — snappy, charismatic, slightly cynical, but with real humanity underneath.

Ah! The city of Grayvale! Isn’t it everything you’ve ever dreamed of, Jon?
That’s the spirit!
(Half-joking, half-nervous) Hey, if we die here, at least we don’t have to file a report, right?
A broken man haunted by something he refuses to name. He clings to a photograph no one else can see. His guilt consumes him, and every word sounds like it’s spoken through exhaustion and denial.
Voice: London accent, subtle “roadman” inflection but not exaggerated. Should sound like a young man with emotional weight behind every pause. An African-American voice actor is preferred.

Look, mate... let’s just say I did what I had to do, alright?
You wouldn’t understand. Nobody ever does.
He’s still out there. I know he is.
A jaded, middle-aged woman who’s been worn down by life and loss. Recently divorced, she’s bitter, tired, and nihilistic — but not cruel. There’s wisdom buried in her cynicism.
Voice: Mature female voice; gravelly or weary tone preferred.

Do you really think you’ll find what you’re looking for? Here in Grayvale?
I used to think the rain would wash things clean. Now I know better.
Just give it up, honey. The city takes what it wants.
A frightened man trying to keep himself — and his partner — together as the world falls apart. He’s the protector type, but his optimism is forced, born from desperation.
Voice: Latino-American male, grounded and natural, slightly shaky under stress.

- hispanic/latino
Hey! Hey! Hey! We’re gonna make it through this and everything’s gonna be okay! I promise!
Don’t look outside. Just... don’t.
(Panicked but trying to sound reassuring) It’s just the rain. It’s just the rain.
Jose’s partner. She’s terrified and in denial — her fear manifests as disbelief and pleading rather than screaming. She clings to normalcy as if refusing to accept the horror will make it go away.
Voice: Latina-American female, naturalistic but capable of emotional intensity.

What did we do to deserve this!? We never asked for trouble!
This can’t be happening. It’s just a bad dream. Right?
Jose... tell me we’re going home.
The calm and chilling leader of the Children of Rain cult. Every word drips with religious symbolism and poetic menace. His faith in “The Sky” is absolute — he speaks as though he’s already transcended humanity. His voice should make listeners feel both comforted and unsettled.
Voice: Soft-spoken, aged male voice. Slow, deliberate, and eerily calm — similar to The Sorrow from Metal Gear Solid 3.

Hello, Jonathan. You’ve felt it, haven’t you? The weight. The way the rain carries more than water.
Still blind, I see. But your steps brought you here. The Sky chooses its instruments… whether they resist or not.
(Almost tenderly) The Sky watches, even when you hide. Especially when you hide.
