Gifted Beasts - Animated Series
Gifted Beasts is an upcoming animated series whose first episode is set to be released this fall! It follows Sakara, an isolated and closed-off wolf, as she works to find answers, free her pack, and reluctantly make friends. During her journey, she quickly learns that much more is going on than she originally realized, sending her and her new friends, Aspen and Navo, on their adventure.
Gifted Beasts explores themes of friendship, kindness, abandonment, family, resilience, and forgiveness.
There are 20 episodes in total, with an additional 8 mini-episodes. Most of them are 15-20 minutes long, with a couple of shorter episodes lasting 8-10 minutes, and the mini-episodes lasting about 5 minutes.
Progress
The entire, yes, ENTIRE script is written and ready for voice actors. If you want to record your lines for episode 20, go for it! I want to make this an easy and fun experience for everyone involved, so you won't have to wait for me to get your lines done.
In addition to that, episode one is about 30% done already, with the rest sketched and backgrounds complete. Episode 2 is completely sketched, and the music is prepared for the first 10 episodes.
Rules

Please say each line at least 2 times
Please include your Discord name so I can make sure you get into the server if you are picked for a role
Be expressive! Breathe life into these characters. I would rather you be a little too dramatic than dull or bland
If you get the part, I will notify you. If I don’t hear from you within 2 weeks after that, I will give the part to someone else.
Otherwise, you are welcome to audition for any of the characters and as many as you’d like! You don’t have to be the same age or gender to play a character. Even if you don’t think you’d fit a character fully, go for it!

Sorry for the late update! Got a little overwhelmed with this project and irl stuff, but I'm getting back on track!
Between this page and Discord auditions, I got over 200 submissions! Some of these decisions were super tough, and I'm incredibly grateful for everyone who took the time to audition.
Here are the results:
This got way bigger than I hoped, and I have gotten some absolutely amazing auditions! Because of this, I have decided to cast Aspen, Navo, Levi, and Ridge early. They are the main characters in episode 1, so this way I can start work on it early!
The rest of the characters will stay open until June 30th, so don't fear if you didn't get one of these four roles! I also have some people in mind for characters who show up later in the series, so if you only auditioned for Aspen, Navo, Levi, or Ridge, there may still be a part in store for you ^^
More progress has also been made! I have started storyboarding episode 3, which puts me way ahead of schedule! I currently have 2/9 scenes sketched in episode 3 with more on the way!
Male - Main Character - Young Adult
Kind and friendly, but quite anxious in new situations.
(worried) Pine! Pine! He can't have gone far.
(panicked, then still worried but more sure) I... I don't know!... (pause) We'll take her back home, iris might be able to heal her. Navo you and I can take turns carrying her.
(kind, take your time on the lines) Well, I know that you're bold, stubborn, and brave. I know that you don't take kindness for granted. I know that you care a lot about what others think about you, even if you pretend that you don't.
Male - Main Character - Young Adult
Goofy and fun, always looking for a new adventure
(Don't be afraid to be expressive when auditioning for him)
*laughter*
(playful, hinting to tell him about the necklace) Come on, friends share things! Like favorite colors, what they do for fun, why they have mysterious necklaces...
(kind, comforting) I think you need to decide what you really want and go for it. There's a big world out there and I think you'd like it.
Male - Semi-main character - Young Adult
Reserved, grumpy, and sullen. Levi is not a fan of adventure and is suspicious of almost everyone.
(Grumpy) This is stupid, there's no way he's all the way out here. He's probably back home safe and sound.
(Blunt) Aspen, I mean this as kindly as possible, but you are very naive.
(Civil, but not friendly) Don't get the wrong idea, I still don't trust you, but I'll give credit where credit is due.
Female - Semi-main Character - Young Adult
A happy, optimistic bundle of joy. Poppy loves to see the bright side of life but is sometimes a bit naive.
(Happy, accomplished) The salmon has been sold and the trout has been traded!
(Excited) You should have heard what he said! He said he needs someone smart, kind, and basically awesome all around!
(Scared) W-what are you doing?
Male - Antagonist - Young Adult
Selfish and only motivated by his own desires, Ridge will do anything to get power and revenge.
(yelling, very angry) Useless! You're all useless! There are rules and structure here for a reason!
(genuine, a it sad) Sakara, I'm fixing things. I'm making things right.
(Angry, dangerous, perhaps a bit of growl in his voice) You died to me a long time ago.
Male - Side Character - Adult
After being marked as a rogue and surviving with a small band of wolves in the barren lands, Lenzo now serves Ridge as his head guard.
(giving orders) Rocky and I will take the east while the two of you go west!
(worried) Well, Sir. There was an… incident.
(looking out for someone) Just, don’t be too trusting. Keep your eyes open.
Female - Supporting Cast - Adult
She has a name but I can't reveal it yet. She has an airy, mystical, calm voice. She is very wise and intentional with her words.
Despite being marked as 'supporting cast', she has a lot of dialogue in episode 5, so be prepared.
(calm, not too urgent) I don't have much time, my connection is week.
(reassuring) There is nothing wrong with you. You are more than you realize.
(curious) Have you had any luck?
Male - Side Character - Adult
As a dad and leader of a pack, River is strict when he has to be, but he ultimately has a kind heart.
(serious) Ever since Ridge formed his pack, he has been pushing on our borders and taking our hunting grounds. Our pack is too small to put up much of a fight but we've done all we can to keep this piece of land we have now.
(tired, dismissive) If that proves to be true, I'll let you be Alpha.
(stern) Enough you two!
Female - Side Character - Adult
As a mother and leader of a pack, Zinnia's goal is to protect and care for those around her. She has a soft spot for those is pain.
(serious) I understand why you would be hesitant to tell us, but considering our already tense relationship with Ridge, we need to know the severity of what you did in there.
(scolding) Be nice Levi.
(kind) Thank you for telling us all this, Sakara. It means a lot that you feel safe with us.
Female - Side Character - Elder
Wise and calm, Iris spends her days caring for her family and entertaining the pups with stories.
While I want an older sounding voice, I don't want a "creaky grandma" voice. Focus more on making her sound mature rather than super old.
(calm) You're awake, good. I was going to tell you to wait before trying to walk but I guess it's too late for that now.
(curious) Hmm, you have beautiful eyes.
(playfully telling her to leave) Goodbye, Sakara.
Female - Side Characters - Pups
While I do want a voice actor for each of them, I'm putting them all in one audition for ease.
Sequa is hyper and energetic, Rue is sweet and calm, and Petal is naive and silly.
(annoyed) Don't be stupid, Pine.
(sing-songy, teasing) Poppy and Levi are in loooove!
(pleading) No, don't go!

Optimistic, always moveing forward, even in hard times
(encouraging) Oh, of course I will! We’ve already made great improvements.
(whisper after “Sir…”) Sir… I think we have a shadow.
(worried) No, that’s not the problem. I have something here, something that I’m sure do the trick. I’m just not sure if I should show it to Ridge.
Male - Side Character - Young Adult
Mica's passion lies in inventing. He often loses track of time while doing so. He is usually in a good mood but not quite as chipper as his sister, Poppy.
(surprised, trying not to drop an object then calm) Whoaooah! Poppy, you scared me! Hey, you aren’t even supposed to be in here.
(eager, ready) What is it? Does Ridge need me? What can I do?
(tired, just woke up, then concerned) Poppy? What happened to your face? Did they do that to you?
Male - Side Character - Adult
Pesimistic, and tired. Quill has had a hard life, and it isn't getting any easier.
(neutral) Come on Sakara, we have to go.
(stern) Quiet down. There’s a pack nearby and I don’t want to change locations again so soon. We can’t be heard.
(defensive) No, you can’t take them!
