From Stars And Dust (Pilot)
Project Overview
DISCLAIMER: The age requirement is 16+ to voice act! And Payment isn't an assured factor. (I apologize with every bit of my soul but I'm still figuring it out)
LOOKING FOR: MULTIPLE VOICE ACTORS, ANIMATORS, AND IMPORTANT ROLES FOR THE PILOT EPISODE OF MY ANIME!!
FROM STARS AND DUST -
IntroductionSalutations! "From Stars And Dust" is an original anime project that'll be posted up on Youtube, though problems may occur, I'll scurry my way over to fix it. This whole thing is quite the seriously paced project, but my main goal is to get it finished and have it look neat, so don't worry too much about being pressured by deadlines. (also talked about in "Payment") I'm looking for animators, storyboardists, regular artists, and likely some other roles that you can check below!!
What is this Project? | What's it all about, huh?
"From Stars And Dust" focuses on themes revolving under mental health, social problems, worthlessness, and realistic impacts caused by traumatic events. It's heavy on emotions and though it's not fully realistic in setting, the characters are meant to be written as human as possible.Synopsis
Following the main character, Myst Fulgurite, a 15 year old boy who's one of the world's many aspiring heroes. But don't get it mixed up, he's nowhere as great as his classmates. With his dangerously large amount of pride now always getting in the way, he forgets his place in the ever changing world as he encounters a foe in the worst possible way. This event is now changing his life forever, causing an unraveling chain of misfortune onto him, then dooming him to be the centerpiece to it all.
FROM STARS AND DUST - Auditions
Voice Auditions: I am looking for people to voice the main cast!! There will be a lot of smaller character roles and extras that'll be up on the discord server after the main roles are cast.
Please read all the lines provided for each character in one take. You can do multiple auditions, but try to keep it all compact. If you want, you can even make your own impressions of the character!
Animation Auditions: For the animation, it'll be just your classic anime style, but with a twist on the color gradients. Don't worry about making something like those big companies that look unbelievably animated, it just has to be coherent and professional in a way. (so have fun, it's just a pilot, not the real thing :P)
For animating auditions, just try whatever! but show me you can do it and please make something original meant for the audition.
FARAWAY LOGS - Payment
I can't quite assure payment, though, if I ever find out how to or anything like that, I'll pay as much as it needs to make it worth your time. With the fact of the non assured payment, there wouldn't exactly be any strict deadlines or nagging from me since I wouldn't be in the right to do that since I'd be wasting people's very very valuable time for a project that doesn't even pay (but I wouldn't nag you either way and my main goal while on the project is to have people comfortable)
FROM STARS AND DUST - Voice Acting Requirements
This project will involve dialogue that will be very emotion filled/passionate meaning that you'll have to be mostly professional sounding! For this Pilot episode, it's mostly casual besides the end and if anybody was planning on being the role for the entire series, then they'd have to bewarn of a lot of factors, especially the fact that some dialogue can be overwhelming to a slight extreme. (but it likely isn't too worrying, just be careful if you're sensitive to that type of thing and I'll double over and talk to you before hiring!!)
-Strongly recommend a decent quality microphone. No background noises, echoes, or static sounds.
-English Speaking! Though I'd usually prefer certain accents, the characters will be best described in the roles themselves. Though, I feel that this choice of language is obvious, just be careful if you have any major accents, (sorry!! but in any case, I'll try to also put you as any possible other characters too!)
-Please don't add any pitches, reverbs, alterations, or voice changes to your auditions. It'll mess things up, so though it might seem like an obvious fact, please be careful if you use anything!
-There's also more roles coming! The discord server will eventually be up for smaller roles (or roles that don't show up/speak in episode 1) so stay and look around to join it when we really get to a journey through the light!
-And for any matter, Discord will be our main use of communication, if you want to best communicate to the group then please have it! I can still find ways to keep you in touch but it'll... be very hard.FROM STARS AND DUST - Animation Requirements
Please send a small demo clip of your talents! The whole animation style I have visioned is fairly basic in idea but it's still very open to new ones, so if you want to submit something you'd want as a possible style for this pilot (and possibly even the whole anime), then please message me on discord!! DEADLINE:
-Send a small clip, some timeframe worth 20-60 seconds of whatever! I'll put the descriptions of the style in slight more detail, so try to do that, and if you don't feel like it, then just give something you've done before that you know you can do the same or more amount of skill as today.
-Also, be ready and able to adapt! Once we choose a finalized decision for the pilot episode (and even the full anime), we're going to need everybody to be on the same page and style (it's alright to tweak a few things as long as they stay rather on unnoticeable though)

VERY VERY IMPORTANT:
This project is going on an indefinite hiatus and it's likely to be canceled. So if you want to still audition, then efforts are likely to go to waste. Though If you choose to still audition, then I'll attempt to keep you in the loop.
Overall, I'm unsure on how I'll be able to move forward with this, so until I figure it out, everything is uncertain.

The Star of the show! He's a prideful, arrogant person. He's a pretty softie when it comes to people who're really close to him, but otherwise people are somewhere between rivals and pure enemies to him. He's in love with Sei and best described as some average kid that hides himself in a cloak of pride and appearances. And also, he's not always prideful and loud, he at times knows how to calm down and be level-headed. (you're going to have to sing at least once, but don't worry about being good or bad, it'll work great for the character either way!!)

"Wow. She really is the perfect hero for the title, 'North Star'" (Focused on Sei)
"Nice, I feel great! So, hey you guys want to hang out somewhere or do something else?" (just ate meal, feelin' good)
Myst's classmate whom he quarrels with, and sometimes he really doesn't like him. He's intelligent and serious, but often acts as a sociable loveable guy who's modest. He's bound to what he does as a hero and tries hard to be seen and recognized by others. He's confusing as both a person and a character, especially with his irrational chances of changing personality to hide who he really thinks he is.

"I'd be glad to partner with you! So, what's your power? Got enough Starent for it?" (Talking to Myst, they haven't exactly talked much)
"Both! We won't win if his speed gets to us too quick, keep your guard up and don't let him hit a single blow-" (serious and direct, terse in a way)
"Don't you guys want to go out to lunch? I mean, we're all done with the work and this could be a chance to learn about one another and help one another out!" (starting up conversation)
A mysterious guy, who's also a classmate of Myst. Nobody exactly knows much about him, but he's sometimes kind of nice and even if he's limited in the words he speaks, he is quite sarcastic and sassy with it. He's practically shown to be most emotional when it comes to the girl named Lumi, in which everybody thinks they're dating.

"You her secret admirer or something?" (Rather emotionless. Although, feel free to improvise with this line)
"Wow, for once you didn't sound like a prideful jerk." (blank, mildly sarcastic)
A girl based by freedom, she is free herself and that's 'till forever until she's not. She's very self aware in how she says things so she doesn't seem narcissistic, but she knows how to gloat and be pretty smug. She's the most extraverted fun loving character and very open to everything.
(This character has very few lines in the Pilot/First Episode)

"Alright, time to shine!" (Getting ready to engage in battle, on fighting grounds)
"Jeez... I need something to do. Or buy, either way I would like to do something fun." (bored, walking around with the others)
"Woohoo! That's our North Star! I wish I could be that empowering to others like you are." (The North Star just put on a cute little starlight show)
Surprisingly, the teacher is a pretty lasting character for a lot of episodes. He's a strong guy and a big battle junkie, though his teaching methods may be a bit crude and dangerous, they're realistic for the students.

"Alright class, pair up! You'll be going, one after the other, against me. You better prove to me that you're a proper hero!" (self explanatory?)
"HEY! It's time to fight, so fight! No. More. Planning!" (firm commanding as he's rapidly approaching)
"Hello! So, are you two ready? Actually, don't answer that!" (kind of dragging people to fight for his assignment)
A very, very, VERY, VERY. crazy killer. Imagine a guy that licks a knife type crazy, though his character description is going to be quite something, He only has the first episode and leaves quite the impact in it.

(Maniacally laughing)
"Did you think I was gone?! Silly idea, 'HERO!'" (he just came out of thin air in perspective)
Here ya go! A role for animators, though I prefer you message me online before anything, since it'll be helpful. Though I did explain this in the overview but here's what's needed:

Oh, and yeah! The animation style (or at least what I'm planning) is something that looks clear and cohesive. If you have a good idea on colors then make it look cool, rather than any basic and kinda boring anime color gradient, I'll add more to this description if I ever get ideas but this is the basics. (btw when I mean "basic anime style" I'm thinking of something such as the... 2005-2016 slice of life-ish anime style)

A musician and audio engineer for the OST and SFX! I didn't believe making two separate roles was needed for this so here this is! You won't do much for this pilot episode, or at least the musician might not but do know that you're hard work will be put to dang good efforts and whatnot!! also, message me on discord (vintage.mintz) and I can ask for stuff so you can audition. Although if you want, you can just as easily put audio demos into this. Do what you think is preferable to you, I'm fine with either! :)
