Flock ~ Rahmi's Nightmare (SEEKING AUDIO ENGINEERS, VIDEO EDITORS)

Project Overview

What is this project?
This audioplay is based off of a Dungeons and Dragons campaign called Flock. At its core, it is a story about the end of the world, and what comes after; This audioplay in particular is focused on the character Rahmi Romazi, and a horrible nightmare he has that spells doom for him and his loved ones. You can watch the trailer for Rahmi's Nightmare here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eCfiK4ikTA

Please note that this project prominently features LGBT+ characters. If that is an issue for you personally, please do not apply for the project.

What sort of time commitment can I expect?
The current audioplay is be the longest that I've done for this channel, totaling roughly 45 to 50 minutes in length. This is a pretty comprehensive project, so while it does depend partially on your skill level, you'll likely be working with me for a fair bit!

How much experience do I need?
All skill levels are welcome to apply! See the roles below for more details on the different skills each position could benefit from. I am a professional audio engineer, as well as a hobby artist and video editor, so I am happy to assist in whatever ways I can!

What will be required of me?

The most important thing I require from any project applicants is communication. Whether by discord or email, I ask that all project members keep in touch with me and reply to messages within 3 days, or I may drop you from the project. I understand that things get busy sometimes, and of course I understand that sometimes unavoidable complications come up. You won't be penalized if you're unable to submit work by deadlines--but I do need to know where you are, and whether or not you're still able to be part of the project!

No work created solely by AI will be accepted for this project.

Latest Updates

  • Apologies for Delays

Hello, and my apologies for not providing an update sooner. I know there's been a delay on responding and choosing applicants--I'm usually diligent about these things, but two dear friends passed away last week, and I haven't had much extra bandwidth for my creative projects given that. I will try to get proper responses out next week--thank you for your patience.

Engineers will primarily be lining up voice lines and sound effects according to the script, then sending over the arranged files to me for final review. You will have a script to work off of, as well as full, free access to my comprehensive library of sound effects. There are eight characters total to be arranged in scenes, so the time commitment will likely depend on your skills and experience as an engineer. You will not be responsible for things like reverb, panning, or post-processing unless I ask for it. Thankfully, a large majority of this audio is already mixed, and only about 20 minutes of audio still needs putting together. Depending on how much time you can offer, you may also be asked to listen to the currently completed sections to give feedback.

EDIT: No longer accepting artist applicants. Too many scammers and art thieves applying, and that's not something I want to deal with.

Artists of all types are welcome to apply! Anything is welcome--whether you can only do a rough sketch, only do line art, prefer just coloring, or shading by itself, any amount of help to take some of the burden off of my shoulders would be greatly appreciated. You will have comprehensive references of each character and their outfits, including color references and key details, as well as a detailed checklist of what emotions/expressions are needed for each. There are eight characters total.

You will be drawing character portraits in a visual novel style, where each is drawn from the waist up. All characters will need multiple expressions, with different characters requiring anywhere between 6 to 12. Depending on your skill level, these expression changes can be facial only, or changes in pose/posture to reflect the needed emotions.

Artists will need to be able to draw armor, as well as weapons.

It's worth noting that I will need at least 1 furry artist! Two of the characters involved in the audioplay are tengu--bird people--and that's very much not my field of expertise.

Video editors will be arranging project assets in their video editing software, primarily the character art, backgrounds, and subtitles for the project. Assets will be provided to you, as well as access to my comprehensive library of stock footage, art assets, and effects. This role will likely require the largest time commitment, as the estimated length of the audioplay is 45 to 50 minutes, and no video editing has been done yet save for short test runs. Depending on your editing software, I am more than happy to work with you and pass the project back and forth if there is anything you need help with.
