Fireteam Spectral : Season 2
Project Overview
Fireteam Spectral : Season 2 is an upcoming Halo 5 machinima, as well as being a soft reboot for the series.
Season Synopsis:
"A thinning rendition against time reveals a deep and opening wound Spectral chases Orion down. Revealing bigger and darker secrets, testing the brotherhood of the fireteam as they must face what's on the other side."
Taking place in 2555, amidst a galactic cold war - Dubbed "The Silent War". Fireteam Spectral - Comprised of Grayson, Malachie, Fox and Adler - are sent after a dangerous Mercenary - Orion - that looks to enact revenge upon the UNSC. Finding themselves in the crosshairs of a larger threat. (Which season 2 bleeds into).
Across 9 episodes, Season 2 aims to be a tidy character driven narrative. Showcasing simple and complex themes like 'Brotherhood' 'Entropy' 'Worth' and 'The Lesser Evil' - All through the lens of layered characters that lay at the heart of the season. No ones screentime goes to waste!

(This was my first ever machinima I made back when I was 12-13. It hasn't aged well, hence the reboot. All I ask is that you give it a chance? Since its all up from here on out!)
Fireteam Spectral's development has been long and tedious. Season 2 is technically the latter half of season 1. However later down the line, I extended season 1's latter half and it basically expanded and became a full fledged season on its own.
Fireteam Spectral has been a passion project of mine for the past 6 years now. Evolving into a enthralling narrative that I genuinely believe is worth telling. All with an aim to stand out, innovate, push boundaries and set the standard for what Halo Machinima can be!
I am excited to hear all of your auditions and hope we can make something together for the long run!

Being one of 3 MAIN deuteragonist, Malachie (Malla-kai) serves as the comedic relief archetype. Speaking in a light hearted, cocky and charismatic manner. Not always taking everything so seriously, but still always knows the time and the place to.
Bringing the Brawn and Vigor to the Fireteam. Malachie reigns Cocky and always being the first one to charge head first into battle. His recklessness isn't mistaken for bloodlust or incompetency, hes simply a skilled fighter and not afraid of a challenge. All while remaining light hearted, honest and funny in most regards.
Behind Malachie's oblivious, almost laid back attitude is a direct coping mechanism for loosing previously family. Expanding on the "Comedy as a shield" Archetype, Malachie's flaws are that very thing. His relationship with (The Sergeant of the Fireteam) 'Grayson' is the back bone of what drives this season's interpersonal conflict. Malachie's laid back nature contests Grayson's more serious approach to the arc the season travels. Ringing out his flaws as hes the one the rest all fall back on.
Malachie goes onto be front and center throughout the long run of Fireteam Spectral!
**I can discuss more indepth about the character, can't here as its too spoilery!

(Excited) Oh thank god! Commander, We've been experiencing difficulties with our relay for weeks. Been tryna reach some sort of bloody command! Finally made it through!
(Frightened) You Scared Me!
(Dissapointed) No Bits n bolts. Only Squat. Checked this bad boy top to bottom. Probably for the best, it’ll be just a bunch of murderers and pickpockets and… Other… types.
As the main antagonist of the series, Orion serves a major role this season. Speaking with a silver tongue, With a deep bassy voice thats commands attention. Orion is Witty, Sarcastic and no stranger to taunting opponents - Especially the fireteam themselves. More often that not using his sarcastic yet charismatic demeanor to captivate control of nearly any scene hes in. Orion often uses his people skills and Wittiness to manipulate and belittle where-ever possible.
Coming from a brutal background and learning to cling to nothing except opportunity, Orion remains steadfast for his mission to destabilze the UNSC - Just not in the way you may think. Being a master manipulator, Orion is able to weave through any conversation to get what he wants. Always getting the upper hand through belittlement, however he wasn't always like this.
Someone who knows pain and suffering from both sides of the dime. Orion embodies the themes of Entropy, which sits at the roots of his motivation of Destabilization. A deep rooted trauma thats haunted him his whole life. Which carries over into 'The Lesser Evil' theme as his depiction as an Antagonist isn't so Black and White.

(Taunting) "I was wondering when they'd send their investigators... And Of course they send you lot!"
(Witty) "For the Best Codebreaker on the board, you sure take your sweet time."
(Angry) "A choice or a chance? I'm giving you the same leisure! One choice! This is bigger than you or me!"
The sentimental commander, and a very close friend to the members of Fireteam Spectral. Speaking with a lighter and smooth voice. Lawson remains firm but endearing, Giving the bad news and orders straight, while also being flexible enough to bend and alter orders. All with a passive and otherwise friendly and witty tone, but a stern one at the same time. Only argumentative when he needs to be.
Lawson is a long time friend of Grayson (The sergeant of the Fireteam), and is close with the other members of Fireteam Spectral. Lawson uses his commander position for the betterment of Spectral. By finding ways to root for them by pulling strings that give them the chances they need to complete their mission, under the pretenses of the UNSC and ONI's intervention.
Behind Lawson's caring and compromising nature is someone broken by an Injury that upended and compromised his ability to become a spartan along side the rest of Spectral. His sympathetic attitude towards the Fireteam is derived by a stolen chance to live up to his potential.

(Cheerful) "Hello Yello! Long time no see, which jackass am I talking to?"
(Concerned) "Just because you bounce back quickly, doesn't mean you're fine."
(Argumentative) "Don’t make me order you to! I’m not holding you back, I’m making sure you don’t blow the wrong fuse!"
Atlas (A.k.a Marcus Adler) is the older brother to William Adler on Fireteam Spectral. Speaking as a down-to-earth guy. A warm calm voice that extrudes an approachable demeanor. All while still giving off big brother vibes through his somewhat stern sounding voice.
Atlas is a former experienced EOD operative, Although he is stationed along side Lawson (Whom watches over Spectral and his brother). Atlas is still an experienced soldier, but he prioritizes his brother and their relationship. Through the themes of brotherhood that is present in this series.
However under his demeanor lies an emotionally distant trainwreck that is hiding a secret about his past and his brother. Driving him to do whatever it takes to protect Adler in the best way he can - and in the ways he knows how.
Atlas is a minor character this season, how he goes on to become a large part of the wider story, that will later go on to have a commanding role in future seasons!

(Stern) Everything you have, you earnt, William! You’re exactly where you’re meant to be. Look back at when we were on Castamere!
(Reminscening) Remember that time we got arrested for nabbing those power cells? I couldn’t feel my arm for like a week! Terrance and his boys were like 5 times the size of us!
(Warm/big brotherly) Just because the doctors said you can't do that. That doesn't me we can't get a drink.
Pike is a minor antagonist in the latter half of the season. Pike is an intimidating and witty figure (Akin to Negan from twd)
Speaking with a lone tone, with certain condescending smugness to him. All while being able to belt between being charismatic and being a threat.
Being the 10th division general, Pike is a cunning black market munitions dealer. Known for being a sharp salesman and hard to bargain with. Having his claws in the trade sectors, Pike's power extends throughout all the regions of humanities space (Being the Inner and Outer Colonies, and the Outer Sectors). This is smelt on his ego, acting on his own volition and finding a opportunity to gain from it. Which leads to his condescending and smug demeanor, finding ways to manipulate and get inside peoples heads.
Pike serves as a minor role this season, but will go on to become apart of the larger picture in the later seasons.

(Intrigued) "You must got some gold finger with that glimmer in your eye. What kind of wild ambition brews behind your eyes nowadays?"
(Jokingly) "Cmon… I’m just fuckin with ya! Don’t be so tense! - bad for your shoulders."
(Threatening) "Are you wasting mine, boy? You crash land and start screaming outside my wee gates. Then you say you’re after the finest deal I’ve heard in a while. You’re all known for fuckin things up. So why should I take anything you say seriously?"
Beck is another hired mercenary by Orion, and is a major antagonist throughout the season. Beck is witty, smart, tough and Cold. And despite being smaller than everyone in Spectral, she uses her smarts to her advantage.
Beck isn't a spartan, relying on the use of RMBL (Renascence Marbleized Biotic Lactic Enrager) Basically making the user equivalent to a spartan for a brief period of time. She applies this and her way around her use of body weight to her advantage during fights, but often aims to taunt and manipulate her targets in compensation.
Beck speaks in a cold, Posh like tone, acting as the Brains - Less Muscle - in Orion's triage. Beck isn't a dialogue heavy role as opposed to the others. I am looking for someone who is able to pull off grunts or sounds of being hit.

(Intrigued) "Who do we have to put down?"

(Annoyed) "You're the one who wanted to put on theatrics. Just as long as I see credits in my account"
General Caldwell - A high ranking UNSC official and the man Lawson adhears too!
A very direct and stout man, speaking clearly and effectively (Not beating around the bush too much). Commanding attention whenever he speaks or walks into a room.
Caldwell's existence sets up the larger UNSC voice and prescence within the story. He is unfortunately a minor role this season, but goes on to be a much larger player in the future story.

(Disenchant) "They’re knippin at my heels, Lawson. I can’t ward them off any longer."
(Letting down) "‘Fraid I got my serious pants on. My regiment got moved out last week, yours isn't the only one being promoted."
(Reassuring) "Oh it ain’t so bad. Been there a few times. Tropically urban is the best word to describe it!"
A player from the shadows. The Undergroves role is minor, but goes on to be a big (BIG) player in the future story.
Speaking in a somewhat calm and civilized manner, yet with sinister undertones. The Undergrove is someone who holds a dark secret, and strings hidden in the dark.
**I honestly can't give too much away, but would prefer discussing more indepth about character in PM.
(Observing) "3 minutes till midnight. The fireworks are all in their rows. Each domino to fall. Now let gravity do the rest."
(Warning) "Shut your doors, turn off the light. There are monsters outside."
(Persuading) "However gravity is benevolent in her own cruel way. It's a trust fall. You can only watch. With eyes wide open."
