Final Deadline
the final deadline is March 3rd!
Just a few roles left to cast!
And and welcome to my Casting Call for my Fire Emblem Awakening Outrealm Tales project!
I've been sitting on this idea for a while, and I finally decided to throw caution to the wind and just do it!
The Fire Emblem Awakening DLC brought in characters from previous games as 'Einherjar' units, which is honestly why I liked the DLC and Spotpass so much! Lots of fanservice too!
But my plans for this project are to fandub some of the stories, starting with the Champions of Yore trilogy!
In this particular casting call I will be casting for all the characters who speak in this story.
Please note that some roles only have a few lines, and so your audition lines for these characters will be used for the final video - so be sure to do your best!
BUT! There will be lines for future stories, so for example - if you are cast as Julia, you won't have to record any extra lines for this video, but you will get to for future videos!
The roles that have more lines; Chrom, Lissa, Old Hubard (and in this case Marth and Eirika) will have lines to record for this video.
Characters whose lines will be used in the video have inflections in their audition. So you know the tone to use.
It's the easiest way to separate the roles since you can't mark them by importance anymore.
Casting will take place on March 3rd.
Please either have discord or an email address!
If you have any questions feel free to ask away!
Best of luck to al who chose to audition!
the final deadline is March 3rd!
Just a few roles left to cast!
Thank you so much for all the auditions so far!
As some roles have not got much, or any auditions, I'm going to hold off casting for another week.
But I will be in contact with some people through DM's to discuss this project further.
Look out for those!
The Prince of the Halidom of Ylisse
Voice Type - Medium or deep pitch, strong and confident, with the occasional goofiness
Chrom is an unassuming and impulsive prince, that means well and has the heart in the right place. He believes that as a leader, he must show strength in the face of fatigue and the burden of great work, so as to be an example and inspiration to others. He is a direct and committed person, unflinchingly charging forward to achieve that which he believes in. He has the utmost faith in other people, particularly his friends and allies, but his extreme idealism and tendency to trust others blindly can also bring problems to him, leading to recklessness and unreflected decisions at times.
Robin! No! This can't be how it ends!
I got some quick training in. A leader should always be at the top of his game.
None will stand in my way! Least of all someone like you!
This Robin is open to everyone, so both male and female auditions for them!
Their gender will be based on my favourite audition, so anyone can try for them!
Robin's history is shrouded in mystery, making them the greatest enigma of the Shepherds. Despite this, Robin's skill in war tactics is unparalleled, allowing them to guide Chrom's army to victory over opposing forces greater in number and possibly even experience. They are highly ingenious, creating strategies on the fly and even whipping up "crazy" plans or new war tactics out of pure inspiration. Because of their strategic mindset, Robin is highly perceptive to the others' feelings, and can figure out the source of most people's inner turmoils in a matter of a few important conversations. Tiki notes that Robin is surprisingly similar to Marth, due to their charismatic nature and ability to befriend everyone they meet.
You seem to be in a good mood. Did someone tell a funny joke?
I dream of being a great tactician. That's why I study whatever I can get my hands on.
Time to tip the scales!
Old Hubba is an old sage whose job is to safeguard a family treasure, the Einherjar cards. Unfortunately, he was seduced by an Outrealm Aversa, leading to the theft of the cards. Luckily for him, Chrom and his army arrives in the Outrealm and he seeks their help in defeating the Einherjar so he can reseal them back into their cards. He has the power to summon the Einherjar himself to aid Chrom in some battles.
He is depicted as slightly perverted, often ogling at most of the female Einherjar.
I would like him to have an elderly man's voice with a comical and erratic tone.
Hear me, O ruler of ancient Altea and true lord of the Seven Realms... I summon thee, Marth, the Hero-King!
Oh yes, she was a fine lass...heeheehee! Gave me a nice wink as she left...hope to see her again!
Come forth and grant us your protection!
Lissa initially comes across as an individual who looks upon the world with a naive simplistic outlook, a fact that is compounded by her seemingly spoiled and immature behavior. This is evidenced from her supports with both Robin and Donnel, where she pulls lighthearted pranks on the former, and becomes visibly upset when the latter displays an intellect superior to hers. In a rather conflicting light, Lissa is embarrassed of these traits of hers, as she perceives them as unbecoming of a noble lady. She has become rather insecure over her character as a whole, where she not just laments over her unladylike mannerisms, but also tries to emulate her sister. She also admitted in the Xenologue EXPonential Growth, that she sometimes steals sweets from Chrom’s pack and even gold. These quirks and flaws are, however, offset by her exuberant, optimistic attitude, one that is deemed crucial for boosting the army’s morale by Chrom. This is further bolstered by Lissa’s compassion, where her willingness to indiscriminately help anyone and befriend all whom she meets, as is the case with her friendship with Maribelle.
We'll see who's delicate! I may not be able to attack like Chrom, but when you get injured? I'LL be the one stitching your bones back together!
I want to be a proper lady like my sister. ...But don't tell anyone I said that.
This one might hurt!
Extremely serious and with a no-nonsense personality, all while being in charge with protecting the royal family, it is no surprise that Frederick is a natural skeptic, a fact very aptly encapsulated by the nickname "Frederick the Wary" given to him by Chrom. He is also known to be very patient, dealing with Lissa's antics and Chrom's reckless behavior without displaying any visible signs of resentment. Despite this, it is clear that Frederick deeply cares for Chrom, Lissa, and Emmeryn, feeling the need to protect and serve them at all costs.
Exceptionally well fought, my prince! At long last the Kingdom can now know lasting peace.
With all due respect, milord, I would remind you we have our own campaign to fight...
Pick a god and pray!
Marth is a kindhearted, talented, yet incredibly idealistic leader who takes up the sword in the name of his fallen brethren and fellow conquered Archaneans. More than capable as a ruler, he holds himself to an immense sense of duty; willing to push aside his own grief to comfort his Altean people upon their first liberation in the War of Shadows. In sallying forth to aid Princess Nyna, he also honors the historic ties between his country and House Archanea as inducted by his ancestor Anri. Marth's idealism stems mostly from the powerful desire to keep all, if not at least many, of his allies alive throughout his two wars. This is a natural result of Marth's sorrowful experiences with his elder sister and vassal sacrificing their safety to ensure his escape. Said idealism takes a toll on him, however, as he melancholically visits the graves of those whom have been killed as seen in New Mystery of the Emblem. While Marth would prefer avoiding a fight, he is more than willing to lay down his life alongside his comrades.
I am Marth, Prince of Altea. It is good to make your acquaintance. Like you, I desire peace above all.
Let this be a ray of hope that lights the way for others!
My prayers are with you!
Throughout his games, Ike is shown to be a blunt, yet passionate person, earning others' respect and trust easily. This is especially evident with Reyson, who begins to trust Ike in Path of Radiance after long having held all beorc in contempt. Ike is also one of the few beorc who do not hold prejudice against the laguz and shares Elincia's desire to bring peace between the two races. Despite these qualities, Ike often doubted his own abilities as a leader at first, though his allies would eventually prove him otherwise.
I'm Ike of the Greil Mercenaries. You the one hiring me? Fine. I'm ready to get to work.
You have my gratitude. I swear to repay this debt.
Out of my way!
Alm is a kind-hearted yet naïve young man who has a strong sense of justice and subtly idealistic morals. He has a strong sense of obligation, wanting to leave Ram Village to help the people of Zofia when he heard about the outbreak of thieves, famine, and the aggression of the Rigelian Empire for the past few years. His sense of justice is rather black-and-white, as he is quick to blame individuals for a number of follies in situations he does not necessarily have the full context to. He has a vaguely puerile sense of humor, as he loves to make puns, and is a terrible dancer.
I'm Alm, leader of the Deliverance. You can count on me to take up my sword for your cause.
There's nothing harder than the training my grandfather put me through. No way!
This is how it's done!
Voice Type - High pitched, cheerful and naive
Eirika is a merciful soul that detests violence, she is a forgiving and gentle person that suddenly needs to lead an army. She wishes that there was a way to solve their issues without bloodshed, but accepts that in the times of war, battling is a necessity for stopping conflict and bringing peace. She is innocent and very naive due to her sheltered childhood, being it her worst flaw. That aside, she adapts quickly to the circumstances, and matures while learning the effects of the war. She is a quick thinker and level headed, being very educated with knowledgement on geography, history and diplomacy.
My name is Eirika. I'm not fond of fighting, but I'll do my best to support your cause.
In my world, I'm constantly being helped by my brother. It's rather embarrassing, really.
I cannot allow this!
Voice Type - High or medium pitch, strong and determined
Celica is a kind and polite person, who is often bold yet refined, but she holds herself back emotionally to an extent after a series of traumatic events and familial loss; as a result, she can come off as cold and stoic, and normally maintain a aura of polite distance, as shown her body language in cutscenes and sprites, which is subtly guarded and closed-off. She usually regrets showing her raw emotions, especially in the rare moments that she lashes out in anger, bitterness, or even sentiment. Celica feels the need that she has to set aside her emotional candor in order to fulfill her responsibilities as royalty.
Celica: [suspicious] The brigands' tactician... [annoyed] Why have you attacked us without provocation?
Celica: [annoyed] If you will not state your motives, then I must take that as an admission of guilt. Now open your arms, sir, and welcome justice's embrace!
Celica: [defeated, weak] I... I wasn't supposed to lose...
Voice Type - High pitch, softly spoken, shy
When she first appears in Chapter 6, Julia seems to be shy and quiet, due to her losing memories of her past. But as the story progresses, she gains confidence in her magical abilities and the courage to fight. It is also noted that she is capable of selflessness by increasing Seliph's magic resistance despite the fact that the spell is known for taking a toll on the caster.
Julia: [firm] You speak poetry, milady. But not reality.
Julia: [confused, weak, defeated] Are you...truly brigands?
Voice Type - Medium pitch, soft spoken, princess tone
Elincia is sweet, polite, humble, and a resilient lady, prone to endure any adversity without objecting. As a result of being sheltered from both the court and the community since birth, Elincia has picked up an assortment of manual-based skills at the secluded villa she was raised in. Due to her unnusual upbring for a princess, growing with a rather common life, she knew how to do basic household chores like cooking, sewing, and was trained in the sword arts.
Elincia: [firm, disapproving] There is no grace to be found in war. Only sorrow. But if that is the currency in which you trade, [louder] then let us barter and be done!
Elincia: [defeated, weak, sad] Forgive me... I am only getting in the way...
Voice Type - High Pitched, friendly, full of energy
Lilina is outgoing and cheerful, often abandoning social obligations between nobility and commoners, deconstructing the knight's desire to maintain their relationship formal due to their different status. On the other hand, she is also childish, idealistic and naive to the point of being slightly detached from reality. Emotional, she cries easily when she feels that she has hurt someone's feelings or dredged up painful memories.
Lilina: [in horror] What?! I'm not some frog for you to pick apart!
Lilina: [defeated, shocked] H-how could...? [sad] I thought for certain I was stronger...
Voice Type - High or medium pitch, carefree and tomboyish
Caeda is a tomboy princess, that rather spar and train outdoors than stay in the castle idly. She is a friendly, patient, forgiving yet stubborn and confident young woman. Many characters remark on her intelligence, which was evident from a young age, making her a valuable asset both on and off the battlefield. Her charisma and honest disposition has made her an effective diplomat. She is able to reach out to people with even the hardest of hearts like Navarre, convincing them to switch sides and join Marth's army. She has been shown to be quite politically adept, as seen in her recruit conversation with Lorenz. She also has a cunning and manipulative streak and can effectively utilize her charm and beauty to sway enemies into joining Marth's army, even though she doesn’t employ it all the time.
Caeda: [sincere] You have a kindness about you, sir. Why do you cast your lot with brigands?
Caeda: [soft] Lay down your arms now, and let us make peace.
Caeda: [defeated, shocked] Wh-what? [weak] Ugh... Forgive me; I must withdraw...
Voice Type - Medium pitch, warm and 'big sister' like
Micaiah is a very caring and empathetic individual, but tends to be somewhat bitter at times, a result of both her treatment as a Branded prior to the story and the abuse of Daein and its citizens by the Begnion Occupational Army. She cares deeply for the people of Daein, and refuses to stand idly by while they suffer under their control. She pays little mind to her own needs or even her health, always putting the people and her country first; indeed, her Sacrifice skill is effectively her self-sacrificing nature manifesting as a magical power.
Micaiah: [annoyed] I demand you cease your attack on this kingdom!
Micaiah: [weak, defeated] Nngh... I can't win... But if I can just stay alive...
Voice Type - Medium pitch, confident and determined
Lyn is energetic with a strong sense of independence. Due to her humble origins in the plains, being brought up in a nomadic lifestyle outside of the palaces of Lycia, she knows little of noble manners and customs. This does not mean she is savage though, as Lyn is very friendly and polite to those around her. She has pride in her Sacae heritage, and is not willing to tolerate when that is insulted. As a lady of the Sacae plains, she never lies. Additionally, she has a strong sense of justice and is very persistent. She has been noted to be a determined, deep, caring, and kind-hearted soul who firmly believes she can accomplish her goals and works hard to do so. She rarely thinks ill of others and, despite the circumstances, always remains optimistic.
Lyn: [confident] I am Lyn of the Lorca tribe, and I will give brigands no quarter!
Lyn: [deadpan] The unwashed part.
Lyn: [defeated, weak, annoyed] Nngh... That was...just practice!
Voice Type - Medium or deep pitched, soft and caring
Deirdre is a humble, kind-hearted, shy and naive young woman. She is described as not being exactly sophisticated due to her upbringing in the forest. This unassuming personality of Deirdre's is due to the isolation she has been put through for the entirety of her life before meeting Sigurd, an safety precaution that was put into place to prevent her from being influenced by the outside world. Due to the warnings from the old fortune-teller who raised her and her own power as a Shaman, she was always aware of Loptous' presence inside of her blood and as a result, she was told not to associate with others to in order to avoid the Loptr Church, and not get caught in their efforts to revive the Dark God Loptous.
Deirdre: [regretful] Must another battlefield run red with blood and sorrow?
Deirdre: [defeated, weak, upset] How...absurdly strong... What hope did I ever...
Voice Type - High or medium pitched, confident and energetic
In Genealogy of the Holy War, Nanna is portrayed as a headstrong and determined person, as shown through her assertiveness in urging Leif and Finn to abandon Leonster and seek cover in a nearby church. If Finn is her father, he even likens her to her mother Lachesis, who is similarly stubborn and strong-willed.
Nanna: [blunt, not amused] If your humours disagree with you, sir, perhaps you ought retreat?
Nanna: [weak, defeated] I believe my friends will finish this struggle... I must...
Voice Type - French accent, snobby
Virion is somewhat detached from the common world. Although he first comes off as a buffoon and a braggart, he also possesses quite the intellect. His conversations normally revolve around pointing out and elaborating on his interlocutor's problems before they can even answer. He demonstrates a talent for political intrigue in his supports with Lissa and Frederick, being able to read people in his supports with Miriel and Cordelia, and having a knack for strategy in his supports with Robin, proving that his abilities match his position. He is obsessed with proper, courtly behavior, always acting in a refined, pompous manner.
Virion: [cheerful, flirting] What is zat bouquet upon ze wind? Ah, it is you, milady. A woman of your beauty and calibre must exude grace upon ze battlefield.
Virion: [commanding]One for ze bards!
Voice Type - Medium or deep pitch, intelligent, stoic
Miriel is a perfectionist who cannot stand having even a single book out of place in the Shepherd's garrison. She is especially harsh when berating anyone who behaves thoughtlessly. An embodiment of efficiency, Miriel keeps track of everything in the army, making sure everything is up to code. In fact, she is efficient enough to keep her own possessions in order, even though she has the most possessions out of everyone in the army.
Miriel: [serious] I sense voluminous reserves of magic amalgamating within you. It should prove quite elucidating to dissect you piece by piece.
Miriel: [firm, not amused] No, of course not. I have no interest in frogs.
Miriel: [firm] But come at me anyway. Let us see whether or not you croak.
Voice Type - Medium pitch, soft spoken, kind and caring
Kellam: [sad] ...Why does the first person in a week to even SEE me think I'm a brigand?
Voice Type - Posh British accent, prissy, classy, snobby
Maribelle is a typical noblewoman, trained in the classical and finer arts of the higher ranks in society. Ironically, this has sparked within her an interest in the "plebeian" lifestyles of the common citizenry of Ylisse, in turn motivating her aspiration to become a magistrate that fosters equal rights between both the nobility and the common folk alike. She is willing to teach others how to speak in a manner befitting of that of a noble, though she occasionally gets carried off doing so, as shown in her supports with Olivia.
Maribelle: [annoyed] And why should I care what you want? You dress like the basest of baseborn!
Maribelle: [curious] ...Hmm? But then again...[slightly impressed] the way you bear yourself...
Voice Type - Russian accent, deep pitch, comical
Gregor has a friendly and refreshing personality, though he has an unusual accent and speech patterns. Despite his mature appearance, he is surprisingly easy to hurt, getting depressed whenever people harp on him about his age. He speaks in third person with a Russian accent in the English version. Gregor's age blesses him with fighting skills that impress even Lon'qu.
Gregor: [upset] Oh, for crying out loudly! What part of gentle Gregor resemble hairy brigand?
Gregor: [flustered] Oy! You make the joke with Gregor, yes?
Voice Type - Hig pitch, crazy-psycho, carefree, joyful
Approaching every situation with a constant, yet eerily cheerful expression, Henry is an unorthodox Dark Mage with a bright enthusiasm towards bloodshed and war that contrasts with the usually dour nature of the art. He is prone to fits of laughter and glee whenever carnage or the macabre is involved. He is utterly fearless as a result and does not fear death, even finding it, should it happen to him, particularly cathartic.
Henry: [crazy laughter] Nyahahahahaha!
Henry: [cheerful] That's what battlefields are for! Otherwise we'd call them "boringfields."
Voice Type - Medium pitch, full of energy, overdramatic
Described as a "colorful" character by Lucina, Owain has a habit of speaking in an overly theatrical fashion that most find tiresome and some find endearing. His over the top theatrics suggest a need to stand out. Always eager to engage others in duels, Owain attributes this to his sword hand craving battle, even though this is, in actuality, due to his desire to prove his mettle and improve his combat skills. Moreover, when facing people with actual bloodlust, such as Navarre, Owain quickly drops the act and desperately tries to diffuse the situation upon realizing that he went too far with it.
Owain: [happy, confident] Ah-hah! At last I have you, fiend! My blood curdles like milk spoiled by your wicked...[thinking] um....wickedness!
Owain: [flustered] Urgh... Actually, I feel fine.
Owain: [annoyed] Damn your cleverness!
