Project Overview
Hello there! My name is Alicia and I'm a writer. 'But what do you write?' you may be asking to yourself or aloud to another person in the room who is probably startled by your open question with no backing.
I write FanFiction!~
Yep that's right! I mainly write Homestuck themed fanfictions and I've recently updated my favorite story that I've writen. I love the project and story so much that I decided I'd like to turn it into an audio drama!
A bit of a background for you; My story is about Dave losing his brother and having to cope through his abusive relationship that he eventually leaves for someone else. It's a touching story and I am COMPLETELY dedicating all of my free time to it.
I'm aware the fandom hasn't had anything active recently, so I'm hoping to change that!
Here are some of the things I'd like to have from my auditioners:
Mic Quality: I will be editing this project myself so I need crystal quality when it comes to this. I also am dedicated to putting out a quality show.
DEDICATION: This is HUGE. I will NOT be dropping this project. As of now I have 6 chapters written and plan on going to at LEAST 20.
Communication: Skype. Skype Skype Skype! This is a big thing. I'd like to have a weekly meeting. Keeping up to date and in contact with my actors is very important to me!

Karkat has a headcanon voice for everyone mostly. Medium pitched with a scratchy voice. Try to hit that!
Karkat has just been woken up by Dave's alarm. "Nnn...Dave? Aren't you going to be late?"
He's mad. OH BOY IS HE MAD. "And who the fuck is she? Another BAR SKANK?"
"At least Gamzee actually gives a fuck about the people he's around you assfuck."
As we all know, Dave is very well known for his almost monotone voice and how blunt he can be while still mixing his jokes. I don't have a strict headcanon for him, however flat will do well for his voice tone. Some are fans of Dave in a Texan accent, and you can audition using that as well but it is not necessary.
In this line, Dave is talking to a girl he feels he knows at a bar. Try to sound like you're interested but not TOO interested. Dave is usually monotone. "So, what the hell happened to make you want to drink so early?"
"My name is Dave. Dave Strider."
"Jade. Look at me. Never. Leave. Again."
Aradia is a sweetie! Don't let her airy demeanor fool you, she's actually VERY intelligent! Try going for a cheery and upbeat voice for her!
"Of course Dave. However please make sure that Miss Clumsy over here doesn't fall and break these again."
"Small job huh? I'm going to assume she fell at about at least a 90 degree angle and I'm also going to assume that her fall was caused by a simple balance issue leading her to break these? Am I right?"
Terezi is a boxing instructor. Despite her blindness, it doesn't hinder her from being the best!
"I can't see you but I can sure smell that bullshit you're talking from a mile away!"
"Exactly my point, there's no way you could have been there with Gamzee."
"Vriska just stop! We both knew this wouldn't work..."
Good ol' drunken Roxy! While she's not always sober, she does pack quite a punch when angry but is usually an all around sweetheart! I'd like to try a brooklyn accent for her!
"Oh Davey!~ It's ALWAYS time for a drink!"
"So tell me Mr.Struddle.~ Why do ya wanna work here?"
"I said get out of my fuckin' bar before I start busting martini glasses and that shit ain't gonna be pretty!"
Equius has a low voice who often takes breaths to catch up to himself. He's the 'handyman' for the apartment complex!
"Yes? Who is it?"
"What is it ....that I can help you with?"
"Strider, there is no need for impatience."

"Hold the fuck up. You can't expect me to tattoo this shit head?"
"Of course I remember what you did to me that night! I'll never forget your sick grimey hands!"
