Female Voice Actor For Original Animation (About a Dullahan)

Female Voice Actor For Original Animation (About a Dullahan)

Project Overview

Hi there, and thank you so much for checking this out!

I am a second year animation student looking for one female voice actor to give vocal life to my current animation project.

Here is a quick overview of the story:

A dullahan ( a headless rider), or rather, the head and the body that comprise the dullahan have fallen out. The animation begins with the head reluctantly apologising to the body for insulting them. The body, touched by their apology runs to them to give them a forgiving embrace. However the body can't find the head (no eyes) so the head has to direct the body to them. It ends with a hug of friendship. Yay!

My animation will only be about 30 seconds long, so there isn't too much talking. However I ask that your microphone quality is decent and that the recording will be free of background noise, please.

The deadline for my project is March 28th, but ideally I require recordings ASAP so I can properly animate.

More info is down below in the character description section.

If you have any questions, please PM me or email me at n070040(at)my.ntu.ac.uk

Many, many thanks!

Ciara is a severed head. Yes, she's alive.

She is quite proud of herself and is the literal brains of the duo (and is a bit 'tsundere', for the lack of a better word). However, she cannot do anything without Body.

In the animation she reluctantly and genuinely apologises to Body for insulting them, as she has realised she can't live without them.

Voice Direction: I imagine her to sound pompous, but obviously in this scenario she is feeling dejected. At first she is too embarrassed to apologise but as her monologue continues she grows even more regretful. If you could capture that transition that would be amazing.

  • I'm... sorry for calling you absent minded and brainless.

  • Truth is, I'm a nobody without you...

  • ...I need you. Can you forgive me?
