Fantasy YouTube Video Voice Over Casting
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Looking for voice actors to flesh out characters that exist in a fantasy world. Videos featuring the character's illustration and many voice lines that give the viewer a deeper understanding of the character will be posted to YouTube. These voice lines will be about other characters in the story and that character's opinion on them, opinions on weather, times of day, etc, just to allow for a deeper insight into the character. The story will be told through the form of books that will be released every couple of months in "Updates" (for example Update 1.0, Update 1.1, Update 1.2 and so on.) Miscellaneous lines will be required as well, for other forms of media and videos.
I am currently casting for the first and second updates. Deadline for auditions for the first Update is March 1st, 2022. Deadline for auditions for the second Update is May 1st, 2022. Unfortunately, this is a volunteer project (you will not be paid.) This is because the project currently has no budget. If the project eventually receives a budget, voice talent will be compensated. Money made from book sales will go to the author.
I am being vague about the details of the project (name, details about the story, etc) on purpose.
WHAT TO EXPECT
When cast, you will be invited to join the Voice Actor Discord. Then, you will be given details of your character, their role in the story and other details about your job in the project. The Discord is so you can communicate with fellow voice actors and the project runner with ease.
WHAT I ASK OF YOU
- Please have a quality microphone, with no background noise! Submit the clean recording of your lines- effects can be added in post production.
- Submit as many takes of a line you want, but in order to give me options to choose from, please submit at least three. More is completely fine.
- I will try to respect your time as much as possible and use line re-dos sparingly. However, your voice talents may be required for future Updates of the story! Please ensure you will be available to do voice work for the project for a few years after (scheduling will be done around your schedule!)
- Please upload files to a Google Drive folder that can be shared with the project email.
