Starting off with the intro! I'm Lumi Shiro! I'm a small VTuber content creator on twitch who enjoys practicing Japanese animation vocals through various means, sometimes with others and sometimes by myself! You'll usually catch me doing a visual novel, DND, or practicing my own written silly nonsense lines! I also do challenge sessions which is what this project will be about! :) You can check me out at: LumiShiro - Twitch
The purpose of this project: Practice Challenges are something I do to keep up with versatility and to make sure I'm always striving to get out of my comfort zone to really put what I already know to the test. Every time I do a challenge, even if it's one that I've tried before, I always try to make them all as unique as possible by combining a bunch of different components together to keep a variety going. Of course challenges are always more fun when I have the participation of others! c:
What's Fanime?: It's an Anime Con held once a year in the Bay Area that's more fan focused than your typical Anime cons that have a lot of industry panels. I'll be doing an in-person fan panel based on the Spin The Wheel VA Practice Challenge. This project will be a Beta test of sorts to get a feel for things before I do it with an in-person audience. It's also a way to do things with others that wouldn't be able to make it to the convention and to get the word out to those that are attending Fanime. If you'd like to know more about Fanime here is a link:
https://www.fanime.com/Details: I'll be spinning a virtual wheel which will have different practice categories on it and we'll go with whatever it lands on. Each of the categories will combine different vocal aspects together so you can put your vocal skills to the test with things such as character immersion, effort sounds, improv, emotional delivery, inflection shifts and so on. Whether you're a beginner or more experienced this'll be a good way to flex your vocals while vibing and having fun with others! :)
Requirements: A decent mic, Discord, can do well with others, comfortable being on a live stream, and 18+ of age.
(PS): For those that are coming to the convention in person and are interested in checking out my panel the full details such as date, time, and room are TBD until we get closer to the date of the con. When I do get the full details, I'll give an update on all you need to know in order to attend in person. Also, for those that do participate in online i'll let you add one practice category suggestion to the wheel that will possibly be used in the in-person panel!
