FANG UNI: POTIONS CLASS (ANIMATED SHORT)
Project Overview
Heyo!!! FANG UNIVERSITY is a series made by me about monster people going to a large university in California. It's very inspired by series like Monster Prom and Monster High!
This project specifically is a small short I want to make of a cold open I wrote for script I was working on. It will be more like an animatic/tweening thing rather than a full-on animation. If you'd like a reference for what It'll look like, I've been making cold opens in this style for my superhero art project series on Instagram! @JCBOGUS.
The short /cold open is about Vega and Kande in their potions class long after its ended for the week. They're working on getting a project done early. Vega wants to go home, and Kande wants to get it all done early. Hijinks ensue.
Voice Actor
Vega is the embodiment of "live life to its fullest" MOSTLY BECAUSE SHE'S IMMORTAL ESSENTIALLY BUT YK. Being the literal embodiment of space itself has its perks. She's loud, fun, and always looking for something to do. While she is a very bold/brash person, she hates presenting herself as a Debby downer or all professional-like. That is NOT how Vega rolls. it's fun and/or good vibes. Or - at the very least, just SOMETHING interesting. She's got a good heart, though sometimes she can get super in over her head or far too ambitious.
Vega has 2 forms, male and female. This project specifically uses her FEMALE form! I always imagined her female form to have a valley girl accent.
Voice inspo: Painwheel(skullgirls), Jecka (class of '09), Courtney (Paranorman). Courtney is my main inspo for Vega's voice! I'm not looking for anything crazy high-pitched or super exaggerated :D

(angry/upset) HE MADE ME. ORGANIZE HIS NEW BOOKS, AND THERE WAS LIKE 40. GIRL. WHO OWNS THIS MANY BOOKS?? ARE YOU A LIBRARY???
(recounting/disgusted) Last week I literally watched someone eat a stick of butter on a stick like ice cream while watching two people have a magic duel. LIKE. EW.
(sarcastic/cheerful) Uhmmmm wooow! Yeah, that's like, so cool and interesting or whatever!
Voice Actor
Kande is very charismatic! He is always happy! Always! well. okay, maybe just on the outside. It's kinda freaky. He's so jolly on the outside that it can sometimes loop back around to being a little uncanny. It is physically impossible for him to NOT always act joyful. Though, actually feeling joyful is another can of worms. He used to get mad, sad, and all those other fun emotions — but those proved too bothersome, so he just sorta snipped those feelings out of himself. It's been great so far! Productivity has been up up up up up UP ever since! All of this is to say: you will NEVER see Kande be anything but patient and happy.
Kande uses a Russian accent!
Voice inspo: Jumba (Lilo and Stitch), Fyodor (Bungo Stray Dogs), Russia (Hetalia). Jumba is the main inspo for Kande! I'm looking for a voice that kinda leans a bit on the deeper side, but still remains joyful and upbeat!

I suppose I would not be opposed to "hanging-out" as they say! Perhaps the park would be fun!
He refuses to work on himself! It worries me! Why rot alone with nothing of value to your name? Why?
Ah, it is not worth my time! Why waste my one meal on something so greasy? I am completely fine with my protein cubes!
