This form is intended for voice actors interested in participating in my unpaid project, False Hope. False Hope is a science-fiction/fantasy/furry story about a twenty-four-year-old pine marten named Patches. After returning from his year-long graduate space mission, Patches has his heart broken by his best friend. In an effort to escape the harsh reality he's come back to, he runs away into space, where a mysterious destiny is thrust upon him.
The ultimate goal is to create a fully animated project that will be released on my YouTube channel. To see if this is even possible or sustainable, however, I'm only committing myself to the first episode.
If you are interested in participating, and are 18 years or older, please fill out this form. At the moment, only the script for episode one—of what I hope to be a ten-episode series—is finished, and thus, only a few roles are available.
I'm planning for this form to be open for a month. From there, I will evaluate all the auditions and select the folks who I think are best suited for these characters. We'll go from there based on what I feel is best for this project.

Patches' best friend of many years and love interest. His voice is calm and soothing. He is gentle, kind, witty, but complicated. He is in the middle of realizing his life isn't going the way he planned. He is also a few years older than Patches.
(comfortingly) "Come on, let's get you something to eat."
(like he's embarrassed to admit it) "Kent and I... we've talked about... things that might happen in the future..."
Jericho is Patches' "right-hand man," so-to-speak. His voice is full and confident. He is reliable, snarky, and protective. He tends to live in the moment. The two of them barely knew each other while they were in the Academy, but over the course of their graduation run they became super close.
(relishing in celebration) "Feels good. Enjoy it."
(defensive, but in a friendly way) "Hey, I am allowed to have fun. And so are you, Mr. Goody-two-shoes."
Patches' ship AI, designed to assist Patches with exploring the universe in whatever way he sees fit. Their voice is clear and crisp. They are helpful, emotionless (but not robotic), and matter-of-factly.
"Anything. Everything. What would you like to know?"
"I must warn you, Captain Patches: you are breaking rule 35A of the Academy's safety protocol."
Being Patches' mentor, they are the closest thing he has had to a parent. Their voice is dynamic; they know when to be soft and when to be loud. At times they can be overbearing, passive aggressive, and demanding, but they truly do want what's best for Patches and the other students of the Academy.
(lecturing, but informal towards the end) "You have been gone two years, one month, and twelve days. Our time. In your time, you have aged one year, seven hours, and who gives a fuck about minutes."
(parental) "There's still a future here for you. If you want it. The Academy would gladly make use of your skills."
Elias is the president of HSI—the interstellar mega-corporation that's tied to the Academy in almost every way. His voice is a combination of annoyance and entitlement, with a hint of elitism. He's is a businessman, through and through. He longs for something of legend, and will do just about anything to get it.
(giving a presentation) "On behalf of the Academy and Hecate Space Industries, it is my honor to welcome you home, graduates."
(sternly/impatiently) "Captain Patches, are you present?"
