Fallout New Vegas Mod: Weapon Merchant

Fallout New Vegas Mod: Weapon Merchant

Project Overview

Greetings!

Over the past year, I've been working on a weapon pack for Fallout: New Vegas, featuring various weapons
complete with custom animations from talented modders like Hitman47101 and Rockbiter68!
Recently however, I got the idea to implement a vendor that exclusively sells the items from my pack, and after playing the Resident Evil 4 Remake, I wanted to implement the Merchant from that as a Wild Wasteland Easter Egg.

I'm not super picky when it comes to quality, as long as it sounds decent and has no discernable background noise, feel free to audition if you feel you can imitate the Merchant!

This is a small Easter Egg character that only appears if the player has a certain trait which enables more wild and whacky things to appear. He is heavily based on the Merchant from Resident Evil 4, so mannerisms similar to his would be perfect.

Similar to the original, he is a mysterious figure that keeps mostly to himself, never directly partaking in any sort of action, only showing up to sell a copious amount of weapons to the player.

In the lines below, context/direction is provided enclosed within {}, do not voice what's in them!

  • {First time greeting, eager to meet the player}Hello there, stranger! I've been expecting you.

  • {Player asks who you are. Jokingly evading a real answer}Let's just say I'm a purveyor of fine products designed to make your problems... {emphasis}*disappear*, if you catch my drift, heheh!

  • {Player asks what's for sale}What're you buying?
