Every Day Counts (A Life is Strange Fan Project)
Project Overview
WHAT IS THIS?
Every Day Counts is an audio series I'm creating.
PLOT
Lillie Lancaster is a 15 year old girl in Roseburg Oregon who's a diehard fan of the video game Life is Strange. As the school year comes to an end and summer about to begin, she can't help but wish she could have something magical happen like Max Caulfield. So her friends make it their summer goal to help Lillie see that if you try, anything can be magical.
WHY ARE YOU MAKING THIS?
Honestly, it's because I've been where Lillie is. When I was younger, I wished something magical or amazing could happen in my life that would make it more amazing and less dull. It took me a while to see that every day can be an adventure if you just look hard enough. Plus, Life is Strange is one of my favorite video games and while yeah, I could've made something about the actual characters of the game, this is a little more personal to me.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Please make sure your microphone is capable of recording your voice without picking up overwhelming background noises or excessive peaking/clipping.
2. You must have a Discord account, as the project will be going into production over there.
3. Your voice files must be sent in a .wav format, though if it ends up too big, .mp3 files will do as an alternative.
4. The payment isn't a set-in-stone thing. And by that I mean, if you're not comfortable with the rate, I'm flexible to discuss a rate you'd rather prefer. 50 just felt like a good base to start with.
5 Remember to have fun!
Thank you all so much for reading and I can't wait to hear all of your auditions!

Lillie is an absolute nerd for indie games, indie music, just indie in general. She's very socially awkward when she's talking with other people, to the point where she'll just cover her face with her hoodie if she feels embarrassed. When she's around her friends though, suddenly she becomes a lot more confident. She always wishes life were a movie, so much so she even has an indie playlist on Spotify called "If Life Were A Movie".

[Embarrassed, Hiding in her Hoodie] Nope. Nuh-uh. Not happening. I've already made enough of a fool of myself. I'm just gonna stay in Hoodie-Land until I graduate. (Whines in embarrassment) Why did I have to call her Chloe?? HER NAME IS SAMANTHA! Stupid, Lillie! STUPID! (Groans) I'm gonna die alone!
[Rambling about Life is Strange] I don't know, I feel if I had it my way, I would just...LIVE in Arcadia Bay. I mean, you know, BEFORE it gets destroyed by a tornado. Or-Or maybe in an alternate timeline where it...didn't get destroyed by the...tornado- wait, no that would defeat the purpose of the story. POINT IS, it seems like a nice town, I think I'd like it there.
[Playful, With Friends] Alright, can we just make it a rule that whatever direction this summer goes in, it won't result in any bullshit high school cliches? No love triangles, no betrayals, none of that. We keep things light and save the pointless drama for when we're back in school.
Harper is a troublemaker in every definition of the word. She'd probably have a criminal record if her dad wasn't the sheriff. She's sarcastic, yet not as cynical as some would think. She's got a chip on her shoulder but it's just because her mom decided to split town. She's always got a plan cooking in her mind, so much so that the rest of the group typically turns to her if they need an idea to either get them out of a pickle or to make the day more interesting.

[Teasing] (Snorts) I'm-I’m sorry, d-did you really just tell me to...stay out of trouble? First off, have you MET me? Second, you're only in trouble if you get caught. And third and most important, you're not the boss of me!
[Sarcastic] Oh yeah, we clearly put a lot of thought into this. Step one: break the rules. Step two: don’t get caught. Step three: go get ice cream. We're like the QUEENS of strategy.
[Soft, Letting her Guard Down] (Sighs) I don't know, man. Ever since Mom left, it's felt like...like I only feel normal when I'm making somebody's life a living hell. Not you guys though, never you guys, but...(Groans) I don't know, I just want to feel normal again. Or at least, somewhere close in proximity to normal, you know?
Jamie is very shy when in public, her voice will barely go above a whisper when in class and sadly that makes her a prime target for bullies. Good thing she's got friends that will protect her no matter what. Speaking of which, when she's around her friends or her family, she's got a much sharper tongue and is more willing to call someone out when they're being an idiot. She's a sweet girl though and she has the entire map of Roseburg practically memorized by this point. It pays to have a mom who's a tour guide.

[Nervous, Quiet] Um... hi. Um c-could you maybe please... I mean... You don't have to but... I really don't want to give a speech in class today! (Covers mouth) I'm sorry, I shouldn't have shouted. Please don't be mad!
[Relaxed, with Friends] (Rolls her eyes) Okay, you laugh now but I'm telling you, ghosts are a very real thing. My mom had a close encounter herself when she was seven. Fascinating story, I'll have to get her to tell it to you sometime.
[Gentle but Curious] You know, I have every single nook and cranny of Roseburg as a TOWN memorized, right down to the names of the roads. And yet, I've never thought to explore the forests OUTSIDE of the town. I honestly don't know why, this place is gorgeous!
Theo is obsessed with photography. You will always find her either taking photos on her Polaroid camera, filming on her camcorder, or just recording on her phone if she's feeling lazy. She is a NUT when it comes to retro tech. If you visit her house, you'll find every physical film copy she has is usually VHS and she'll even walk to school listening to music on her Walkman. She believes tangible will always be superior to digital, and she also believes every moment should be captured. That's why she always records her friends when they're hanging out.

[Geeking out] Oh, you sweet summer child. Have you never seen a Walkman before? Folks would listen to tapes on these bad boys all the TIME in the 80s. They're AWESOME!
[Excited, Filming] Okay, don’t move! The lighting here is perfect! Wait, hold on, I'm not recording yet! Hold it, hooold it! Okaaay, go! We're rolling!
[Earnest] You know, one day, when we're older, all grown up with jobs and stuff, we’re gonna look back on this summer. It'll be one of those things we talk about and remember with nostalgic joy. I just want to make sure every moment is captured. Photos, film, whatever. As long as it's a reminder of the fun we had, it's worth it to me.
Having more writers onboard would help a lot.
