Hi guys its Mad-D again and back with another casting call for Princess Tutu: Zwei characters that appear in Episode 2!
I want to apologize for not including Mr. Cat, Ivan, and the Narrator as available parts to audition for Episode 1. That was an oversight on my behalf, but they will be included in this casting call!

“After the events of the Final, Ahiru has returned to being a duck and Mytho returned to the Story together with Rue.
Suddenly Ahiru’s wish to be human comes true and she can start off a completely new life as a human girl. After returning to her old Academy Ahiru meets a new student, Claudia, and the girls become friends.
Fakir also notices that one of his classmates called Ivan is acting strange and looking up things from the dark past of the Golden Crown Town.
And then all of a sudden magic seems to have returned in the form of small fairies and the mysterious, blazing Firebrid from ancient legends.
The power of Princess Tutu is once again needed but this time Fakir moves the pen, not Drosselmeyer.”

The most mysterious character in Princess Tutu! I’m looking for an older female voice, just like the one used in the original series. The narrator never gives away anything, is unbiased, and she speaks as if reading directly from a storybook to a live audience.
Very calm but invested in the words she’s saying! A true storyteller!
You don't have as many lines but you will always be in the beginning of an episode so that makes you a Lead character in my eyes :)

A comedic middle aged male cat. In the english dub he has a lisp and I think that’s a wonderful choice for his character! Mr.Cat is super silly so feel free to play around with how he sounds!

A new, main character! Ivan comes off as an antagonist right away, getting in Fakir’s business, setting up a scheme for the town, and being in cahoots with Sinclair. He’s shady and also witty with his words. He reminds me of a snake, especially with the sharp comments. His lidded eyes make it feel like he doesn’t take the world and the people in it seriously, and he always has a trick up his sleeve.
Ivan just heard that Claudia has come back to Gold Crown town.
“Hmph. So, she’s finally back…”
Ivan leans into Fakir's shoulder, entering his personal space.
“What are you reading?”
Ivan slyly tells Silvain to 'cool his jets'.
“Don’t be so harsh. A son shouldn’t have to carry the sins of his father.”

Undine is this small fairy so i’m imagining she has a cute-sy voice.
Even though she’s small n cute, i’d like it if there was a matureness to her character. I associate “water” with calm and relaxed, kind of like Silvermist from the Tinkerbell movies. SO you have the register of Paimon but the tone of Silvermist.
“You’re wonderful.”
Cute fairy noises.

“My name is Undine. I’m the blue fairy of water and rain.”
Another new, main character! Right now she’s a possible antagonist of the story. Duck, Autor, and Fakir believe her goal right now is to collect the fairies so she can open up a gate to a castle which holds basically immortal power. She is shocked when Princess Tutu comes “back to life.”
For the vibe of Columbine, I’m thinking she’s independent. “Satanella” is another way to say “female devil in disguise,” so it sounds like she lures the fairies in with her beautiful ballet dancing. Duck focuses on her mask which is a symbol for mystery and disguise. I hope this helps you get a feel for her character!
She introduces herself to Undine after dancing beautifully for her. “
I am called Columbine, the beautiful trickster. Come here, little fairy.”
I want to hear your impression of Columbine giggling and then it turning into a loud laughter:
“hehe! Hehe- ah- ahahahahaHAHAHA!”
She sees Princess Tutu appear for the first time.
“That is… No! It can’t be!”

Sinclair is an old man, part of a small and secret organization that tries to prevent tale-spinners like Drosselmeyer or Fakir from altering reality by cutting off their hands.
He takes tail-spinning seriously and sees it as a big threat.

I’m just looking for a couple of normal female extras in the teenage vocal range. I’m not sure if a reference is really needed but just to give you a vibe, there it is!

I really can’t find a reference, but just like the girls I don’t think it's needed as long as I give you the ‘feeling’... basically in episode 2 there’s a shot of a bunch of boys fawning over Miss Hannelore. I’m thinking you’d say things similar to “look at her dude” “woow…” “if only…”
