Envy the Dead - Casting Russian Captain
Project Overview
Envy the Dead is an alternate history, non-narrated audio drama series set in the 1970s. It follows a group of people from Sweden trying to survive an indirect nuclear attack. Its goal is to portray what a relatively normal group of people’s reaction to such an event would be, realistically. This group of people believes that Sweden will collapse into chaos and thus embark on a journey to escape to somewhere safer.
This casting call is exclusively for a character in episode 1. He will (likely) not reappear. It's a side character, with about 50 lines. I have the script ready to go, so as soon as you are cast, you will receive the script with your lines.

The captain of a Soviet submarine who accidentally causes the end of the world. I imagine him as a guy who can switch from agitation to calmness in a second, but feel free to try around with intonations. Must have a convincing Russian or otherwise eastern European accent.
