Project Overview

“Tales of Arillion” is a series of
short stories set in the world of the Canids, a race of bipedal, humanoid
canines. The stories are set in a Middle Ages type milieu on the fictional
planet Arillion in the constellation of Orion. The Canids are facing extinction
from a parasite known as the ‘Plagued’. The kingdom of Creysil is the last
remaining refuge that is habitable and free of Plagued. Within this kingdom,
Ellie—a 17 year old “mule bred” (cross breed) is at the bottom of society
because of her mixed blood, and is unable to bear children. She lives a
miserable life of poverty, but finds a way to blend in with the pure-bred
population. Facing the risk of punishment by skinning, she attempts to live a
normal life with her new disguise. However, she has not planned for a cruel
twist of fate.

    Apologies for anyone who got their hopes up. The Role of Ashwin is back open again.

  • Role for Ashwin closed

    Thanks for all who auditioned for the roll. The part has been filled by a member of CCC that I have used in the past and originally opted for the role. After a long absence I have gotten back in contact with the VA and have the part filled originally as planned. For those auditioning for the extras part's I will be selecting three people for the parts to throw a little diversity in background conversation. This is a series of short story's told within a Visual novel setup. I will be casting after the release of this one and opening up to a new set of actors to fill the parts. Again thanks. All three parts have been filled by members of CCC I have used in the past and find reliable and quality VA's.

Ashwin is a 19 year old Lupus. He has been in the crowns military for 2 years and  assigned to city guard duty. He is destined to move on from this role to something more shortly. He hides his shady past. He is outgoing but strict in his nature. He has no real family but is happy with what he has made of himself and enjoys the company of others. He wishes to fit in within this collapsing world.

  • -Ashwin has just completed a practice sword duel with the story's protagonist. He is slightly puffed as he places the wooden sword down assisting the girl to her feet.-
    "Yes
    you did but it helps with the enlistment process if you have

    some idea of what to do when it comes to weapon training."

  • -Ashwin has just been asked what its like to be a guard. He studies the lead character establishing her age and responds with the following line in an acknowledging happy tone-
    "The
    days are long, the Armor can get heavy but generally they treat you okay and

    you get a nice little place to live. Why do
    you ask Miss?"

  • -Ashwin has just found the storys protagonist he has had a long conversation with her convincing her to return to the capital and to the life she wants. His tone is happy and calming-
    "Yes
    he does, he is accepting of all Canids, Mule Bred or not. He has waivers
    granted from the Crown for all who can fight. Having the laws changed to benefit
    our kind will most likely never change in our lifetime. But for us we can be

    accepted, just come back with me".
