Set in the RWBY Universe at the same time team RWBY gets their start at Beacon, team EDWS (Edelweiss) begins their journey as huntsman in training at Haven Academy. The whole team is based off of characters from Alice in Wonderland. Along the way, they meet team TTNM who is also an Alice inspired team.
During their first mission at Haven Academy, Emmy, Dorian, Willy, and Starlett meet each other on a grimm infested island where they have to collect a relic and make it off the island alive.
This project is an audio drama with illustrations, and we are also making a spinoff series called EDWS Chibi, which is all comedy skits with team EDWS and TTNM. Additional volumes for the main series may follow in the future. Please be willing to make a longterm commitment and turn in voice lines/work on time. We ask for only high quality microphone recordings only. Thanks, and looking forward to hearing/seeing your talent!
Your job will be to add sounds effects that make the story come to life and sound like the listener is actually there! Down to the smallest thing like a footstep or a card flipping over, to weapon foley and grimm roars, you'll be adding all those details on top of the music and voice clips that will already be done! I can provide you with grimm sound effects, a few weapon sound effects, and some other original elements, but you are welcome to use from your own library of sounds if you have it!
We are on a low budget, so I can not pay you as of right now. If the audio book takes off, and we see revenue coming in, I'd be happy to compensate you then. As of right now, it's a passion project for whoever loves RWBY, and/or sound effects and would like to improve on their skills.

Dorian is a mouse faunus and the second member of Team EDWS. With inspiration from the Door Mouse and Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland, Dorian is reserved, mysterious, attractive, and persistent in anything he applies himself to. His semblance allows him to become invisible, which makes him great for stealth and deception.
As a child, Dorian got sucked into a life of crime and secrecy by unintentionally getting involved with a gang of rebel Faunus with a mafia type agenda. Living the gang lifestyle for the majority of his life, Dorian learned how to think, talk, fight and break out of any situation imaginable. He has street smarts and is quite clever. However, he has guilt from the criminal events that occurred throughout his years in the gang, which left him with a negative perspective on life. He is a realist with a touch of pessimism from what the cruel world has shown him. He decided to leave the gang and become a hunter to clear his name and do good for the world.
Dorian has a deep, mellow, attractive voice. He doesn't speak up often, but when he does, his words are meaningful and his voice has presence and authority.
(Dorian has speaking parts in 12 chapters, and averages about 10 lines per chapter.)
(Serious, upset) “My semblance is deception. I hide. Making others believe I am not there. And in return, I manipulate, lie, and cheat my way into getting what I want. There’s nothing noble about it. It’s an illusion out of cowardice. And the worst part is that...when I get others involved...” (Abruptly stops, holding back tears)
"That's just it, Emmy. You don't know me. You couldn't possibly understand."
(Suave and sarcastic) “You must be one of those annoying optimists, aren’t you?”
(Intelligently) “It’s one of the most deadly species of grimm we know of. They are rare, and are known to be fast, and very powerful.”
(Out of breath) “Four grim...around the corner...next hallway has a whole fleet...but I have a plan.”
(surprised) “We thought you were grimm!”
(shouting in battle) “Emmy! Fire!”
(Confidently calling from a distance) "Hey! How about some help from my team over here?”
(Hopeful) “There are things in life that will fall apart, but we can’t let those moments define us. We have to keep moving forward and trust each other. I learned that from a friend recently.”
Starlett is inspired by the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. She is the seductive, thrill seeking, tomb raider warrior of the group. She can be pleasant and polite on the outside, but when she opens up, she is a fiece, thrill seeking mad woman. During battles or situations that aren't in her favor, she is fierce, hot headed, and frequently looses self control. When the situation is drastic, she goes mad to point of mania. When she’s in this state, it’s nearly impossible to calm her down until the battle is over.
Starlett is clever, adventurous, and will stop at nothing to improve herself and realize her potential. She has a calm and inviting demeanor when she is not defending herself or her team.
Starlett's voice is medium pitched, elegant, inviting, smooth and intelligent sounding, but can also have some boldness when she is agitated. She can have either a normal American, Scottish, or Irish accent as she does have celtic influence. Please be comfortable with voicing battle grunts.
(Starlett has an average of 10 lines per chapter, and is in 12 of the 13 chapters of the first mission)
(Pleasantly) “Ah, well this is quite lovely.”
(Slightly annoyed, but calm) Look. I may have found a way to the relics. Just follow me. We’ll get there soon. Hopefully.”
(Yelling in battle) “Willy, its legs grow back! I think we need to - umph!” (Starlett gets knocked over) “Willy! Distract it!”
(Annoyed mother voice) “No, no, no, absolutely not, Willy. You’re not driving this thing. You don’t even know how it works!”
(Flustered) “How are there no seatbelts in this thing? This is incredibly dangerous! Why did I agree to this?”
(Polite, trying to contain excitement) “That was awesome!”
(Politely, but struggling to lift injured Dorian) “You know, for a mouse faunus, you are really tall...and...REALLY hard to carry!”
(Sarcastic, then angry) “Nice Hit. Idiot!"
(Yelling in battle) “This isn’t working! We need to think of a new angle!” (pause) "That's not what I meant by a new angle!"
Leonardo Lionheart is based off of the cowardly lion from the Wizard of Oz. He is the headmaster of Haven Acadamy. On the surface, Lionheart demonstrates a rather polite and jovial persona and genuinely comes off as a well-meaning and compassionate man. However, he was also shown to be easily startled and seemed to be somewhat timid. Despite this, he is willing to argue with people and seemed unafraid to speak his mind to his fellow huntsman.
Lionheart is a middle-aged man and has a deep masculine voice.
(This audition includes all of Lionheart's lines in the voice drama)
(Noble, intelligent) “In a moment, all of you will choose a capsule to enter. When you are in the capsule, you will fall into a deep sleep for a brief moment. When you awake, you will be randomly positioned on an unfamiliar island. It is an island all first year students visit on their first mission. If you are successful in your mission, you will return from the island with three of your new teammates. The four of you together will be a team for your remaining time here at Haven Academy. When you are on the island, you will encounter creatures of grimm. Some of them are deadly, and some of you will be ready to defeat them. Some of you, will not. You must choose to either avoid them, or fight back.”
(Noble, intelligent) “In the center of the island there is a chamber. The chamber is a maze that is filled with hidden relics. Once you have retrieved a relic and you have formed your team, you must report to the control center, which is located in the middle of the maze. There you must all touch the keypad in the center of the room, which will unlock a map to a rescue aircraft that will come for you and bring you back here. You must work together to get out of the chamber and to get to the rescue ship to return home. But, I forewarn you. There are hidden dangers. Through this you will have to learn how to fight together and trust one another. Heed my words, as all of this will make sense as you go along your journey. Good luck, and trust your team.”
(Boldly announcing) “Please join me in welcoming these following students. Emmy Lee Goldwin, Dorian Lavender, Willy Jay Foxglove and Starlett Carmina Bloom. These four students together will form team Edelweiss (EDWS), lead by team leader, Ms. Emmy Lee Goldwin.”
Team EDWS runs into this girl throughout their mission. She is bubbly, enthusiastic and full of energy (similar to Nora Valkyrie). Her allusion is Tweedle Dum from Alice in Wonderland. She winds up on a team with her twin brother Tonic. Her semblance is called "Fireproof". She can withstand extremely hot temperatures without taking damage. She's often called pyrogirl because she loves fire. She's often seen picking fights with her brother, or getting piggy back rides from him. Although they pick on each other and argue a lot, they would fight to the death for one another, as any true sibling would.
Tina's voice is high pitched, high energy, adorable, slightly nasally.
(Enthusiastic) "Okay thanks! BYE!"

Team CRM (cream) is a team of three preppy females that allude to tres leches. Because Dorian is naturally attractive, unfortunately, he attracts unwanted company. These three girls pester him and flounce around, as Emmy and Starlett help him out by pulling pranks on them to distract them away from Dorian.
1) Candice Cotton (Vanilla)- Team leader, preppy blonde white girl
2) Rochel Ferrero (Chocolate)- preppy African sidekick to Candice
3) Milana Hu (Vanilla Chocolate Mix) - Ditsy asian fox faunus alludes to a Milano cookie

When team EDWS find the relic and activate it in the control room, a female voice provides them instructions for the remainder of the mission. She is an artificial intelligence. Her voice is mid range and serious.
(All lines for the artificial intelligence are included in the audition)
“Welcome, and congratulations on your new team. You have successfully retrieved a relic of the twelfth sector in quadrant one. We are dispatching a drop ship to arrive at the coordinates programmed from the relic you have retrieved. The ship will pick you up and transport you back to Haven Academy. The coordinates given by your relic are located on the coast of sector twelve.”
“You will be heading toward sector twelve, which is the area guarded by doomcreepers. You may have noticed a picture of this creature on your relic. It is likely that you will encounter this creature among other grimm of the surrounding area in your pursuit to get to the drop ship.”
“Be on guard and be prepared to respond at any moment. Sector twelve is located just north of your current position. You’ll need to keep moving north in order to reach the coast of sector twelve. In a few moments, you will be transported above ground where you will be sent back into the island to start your journey to the rescue ship. Please remain standing in the center of the platform to resume the next phase of your mission. Good luck.”
“Hop on in guys! Let’s get you back to Haven.” (This is your only line)

Navina is one of the members of TTNM (Titanium), a support team to EDWS. Her allusion is the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland. She is always very calm, never raises her voice or overreacts, and gets the job done easily with minimal effort. Her semblance makes surrounding opponents feel sluggish, woozy or unable to access their full strength. Her voice is soft, seductive, chill.
The first mission only has one line for her (and that is the first line) but there will eventually be more lines in the future.
(slightly annoyed) "ANYONE could have done better than that."

Tonic Tweedle is the cool calm and confident leader of team TTNM (Titanium). He is basically a more awesome and competent version of Tweedle Dee from Alice in Wonderland, with influences of Cloud Strife (from final fantasy) and Neptune (from RWBY). He has a cute and bubbly twin sister named Tina Tweedle (who's allusion is Tweedle Dum). They are polar opposite as far as personality and semblance goes, like water and fire...literally. While Tina's semblance is being able to withstand extremely hoti temperatures, Tonic's semblance allows him to let objects phase through him, like he is made of water. He’s the calmer, more put together of the two. He’s smooth and tends to take charge since he’s the older twin by one minute (he teases Tina about that a lot). Tonic is decisive and has a good sense of humor. Especially when it comes to messing with his little sister, they have a close relationship, but they like to fight a lot. Tonic is a tech guy. His weapon is a short handle that produces holograms of different weapon heads like an axe, a great sword, a double sided staff, and also has a head set that can shoot blue lazers.
Tonic's voice is medium deep, and is like a mix between Jaune and Neptune from RWBY as a reference.

We only have funds to pay you $10 right now, but if we see revenue coming in, you will be compensated more then, but for now this is a passion project for anyone who loves RWBY who's good at adding detail to art and/or would like to gain more experience! The scenes will already have 80% of the artwork done, you'll just be adding the final touches.

The primary job for this role is character design. We need an artist to create team TTNM's full body designs and weapons (who are inspired by final fantasy characters, but are all Alice allusions as well), and a design for the doomcreeper grimm, which is a half alien/dinosaur grim inspired by the hunter from Halo. We'll also eventually be giving team EDWS a wardrobe overhaul. Each character design you do will be $10, so with the grimm and team TTNM, you'll be paid at least $50 for each character, if not more after that. You'll be granted full access to character profiles and art that is already made to help guide your process!
You will be credited as "Concept Artist" in the end credits, and your art will be featured as the credits role in the chapter that your designs appear. Your creations will serve as a reference for the artists making the slides for the projects. I will pay you up front, and works should take no longer than a month to complete. Please be responsive and keep me updated with your progress regularly.
