Echo: An indie animated cartoon - CREW NEEDED!

"Echo" is the first indie-animated project being produced by Cartoon Sea! As such, we need people to help us out with our silly little show/charity project. The first episode is supposed to be at right about 11-15 minuets long.

The Sound Lead will basically be the person who manages and represents the sound team. You will be responsible for making sure everything that needs to get done on the sound team gets done. You're job would include working on a list of needed sound effects with the foley and sound designer(s), assigning who is going to do what specifically in the sound team, and posting in the Google Classroom for sound design with all roles + tasks that need to be completed and by who. Once all of the sound comp is done and a full track is put together with the dialogue and sound, you'll send it off to our editor so it can be added to the animatic, then your job is pretty much done!

Most of this takes place over the course of a few months, so much of the things you do are very spread out, so not too much time has to be invested. This role is available to people 15+, and you'll get a volunteer letter for your help, since all of the money made from anything goes to charities like The Trevor Project.

While the script for Echo is pretty much done (for episode 1, not the rest)...it needs some tweaking while we still have the time. Echo is an indie-animated production and a fundraiser for charity.

The job would pretty much include reading the script and suggesting/making edits. The script is in a Google Doc, and once that's done, the job is pretty much finished, apart from doing the watch-through of the animatic with the team over a Discord call and then being there for the Cast and Crew Watch Party when the episode is finished. You may be asked to write a few short, sweet, and stupid little stories about the characters getting into little antics so we can make some short comics for promotional purposes. Must be 15+

Hi! Cartoon Sea is looking for a story board artist to work on episode 1 of our indie animated series, Echo! Here's some details:

Story Board artists will create a thumbnail page (it doesn't have to look good, you just have to leave some notes and be able to generally tell whats going on). Send that thumbnail page in, and when it's approved, you can start boarding! You'll be given whatever sections of the script you would like to board, and then you can get started! There will be a Google Classroom so you can submit your boards, and then the next person will edit them into the animatic with the sound track. After that, there's not much else- there will be a Discord call so we can watch the animatic when that's finished, maybe a couple comic pages you could help with if you want, and then a Cast and Crew watch party when the whole episode is finished. Must be at least 15+.

Hi! Cartoon Sea needs a story board revisionist for our first inde-animated series, Echo! (currently this only applies to episode 1)

Story board revisionists on Echo have an important job: editing any boards that look unclear. If you flip through the storyboards, and say the action in one of them looks unclear, you may edit that one board to make it more clear for the animators. Must be 15+ and have the means to open a file in a drawing program, clear up anything, and export it.

Hi! Cartoon Sea needs a color script for our first indie-animated production: Echo! Must be 15+ to apply.

Once the story boards are done, you'll be responsible for figuring out how the color should look for different scenes. You can make 1-2 thumbnails for each shot to show what the color should look like, or you can take the 1-2 of the original board for that shot and do it that way. You basically just have to know what colors look good together and what doesn't, and what makes sense. The first episode should only be 11-15 minuets, so you'd be making about 10-15 colored thumbnails for the different shots (since some are used multiple times). Once you finish that, you're done with your job. If you want, you can help do color for some of the comics we are posting for promotional purposes (or even make your own, as long as they aren't spoilary). You'll be invited to a watch party for the animatic and the Cast and Crew Watch Party for the final episode.

Hi! Cartoon sea is in need of a background artist for our first indie-animated production: Echo! 

Must be at least 15 or older.

Do you have general knowledge of perspective and coloring? Can you somewhat match a style of a background? Cool, you're already on the team! Just send in a few pieces of work and then it'll all be good and you can do as much or as little as you want, as long as you do something that includes helping make the backgrounds. Once whatever you wanted to do is done, there won't be much else unless you have a short comic idea you think would work well as promotional material for our instagram, twitter, or youtube. You'll also be invited to the animatic viewing over a discord call and then the Cast and Crew Watch Party Discord call when the full episode is finished.

Rough animators will create the rough animation based off of the story boards. You will have model sheets, prop sheets, and whatever other references you may need. Once we bring you on-board, you can pick out whatever parts of the script you please and work on the animation for the episode. You'll have a full guide of how certain things should be done. Once you finish your section of the work, you'll submit it, and you're done! If you have any ideas for promotional material, just get it approved by someone first just in case it could spoil anything. If you want to help make comics for promotion, just say something! Please send in a file of your work. Many skill levels are accepted. If something looks wonk, we'll just revise it and you'll still be credited at the sole rough animator of that part.

We need someone to do the compositing for the first episode of our indie show called Echo! Must be 15+. Once the animation and backgrounds and all that good stuff is finished, someone's going to need to stick all of it together. The episode should only run about 11-15 minuets long. This can be done in the free version of Canva or a super fancy editing software, we don't really care, as long as all the elements are mushed together into the final shot neatly and you can export the file. Just know that you will probably not be contacted much for awhile after you get the role, aside from being sent the script and a few other things. You'll also be invited to the viewing of the animatic and the Cast and Crew watch party of the final episode (which will all be done over Discord).

Cartoon Sea needs a sound mixer for our first indie-animated production called Echo! It'll run about 11-15 minuets long. The role is 15+ and is a fundraiser project for The Trevor Project and other charities. As sound mixer, your job will basically be to take sounds recorded by the foley artist, the sound gatherer, and the dialogue, and edit that together so it sounds good and matches the timing of the animatic. The Sound Lead will mostly be in charge of keeping up with what needs to be done when, so you'll report to them for stuff. The sound mixer will be invited to a discord call where we watch the finished animatic and another call which is basically a Cast and Crew watch party of the final episode.

You want to make a list of sounds and find them either in your own backyard, house, or royalty free website? Cool, 'cause Cartoon Sea needs you for our first production: an indie-animated project called Echo! You'll report to the Lead of Sound, who will decide what needs to be done by whom after the list of every sound and effect is made. You'll be invited to view the animatic over a discord call when it is finished and a Cast and Crew Watch Party when the final episode is finished! (also over discord). Must be 15+

Hi! Echo needs some character designers! Echo is an indie-animated show created by Cartoon Sea! The main characters have set designs, but other's don't yet! Your model sheets don't have to be perfect, and you don't need to 100% match the style. There are a couple characters in episode 1 that are part of a scene that need some basic model sheets so they can be animated. Once those are finished, you are done! If you want to draw something and post it, just make sure it's not spoilery, and everything is good! (designs for episode 1 aren't spoilery at all, do what you want with your designs)

The lead background artist will take the list of backgrounds we need for the episode and assign them to the background artists and themselves, based on who says they can do what amount of work (based on peoples time, they do as much or as little as they can). You'll submit some of your art and will be contacted within 4 days of your submission if you get the part. You'll only be responsible with keeping up with your team and communicating what needs to be done when. There will be a background art guide you can reference for mostly everything. All roles are 15+.

We will mainly promote our project on Instagram and Twitter (even though we hate it). YouTube will not be managed by you as uploads will not be often. You'll take over the Instagram and Twitter accounts and post art, comics, video's, and work in progress photos based on our upload schedule. You can come up with captions for everything apart from posts that have specific ones, Ex. Release dates, specific information). You can also post other things, like "How's everyone's day been?", commentate on something funny that happened on AFV, post cat pictures, or polls. Just have fun! Previous experience is not required but preferred. If you can schedule a post or download a picture, you qualify! All roles are 15+ but it is preferred that you be at least 17+ for social media management.
