EarthFall Third Casting Round-Crew Roles copy

Project Overview

EARTHFALL

When the skies rupture in a phenomenon known only as the Anomaly, civilization collapses overnight.
In the silence that follows, scattered survivors must navigate a reshaped planet where the laws of nature have bent, and humanity’s old order is gone.
Among them, Aria Silvar, a disillusioned journalist, awakens in the aftermath — her world reduced to ash, light, and myth.
Her struggle to endure becomes the story of how humanity learns to live again.

Overview

EarthFall is a grounded yet mythic science-fiction drama that chronicles the rise and evolution of a new civilization born from the ruins of the old world.
The series explores what happens after humanity’s fall — not the chaos of collapse, but the slow, painful, and often beautiful act of beginning again.

Set in a time “after the end,” long enough for memory to blur into legend, the show unfolds in two parallel narratives:

  • The Present: Aria’s journey across the fallen Earth as she searches for truth, community, and meaning in a fractured world.

  • The Future: Generations later, an elder tells the tale of EarthFall to a new tribe of survivors — preserving the myth that became history.

The story weaves between what was, what is, and what must come next, creating a saga that is equal parts introspection and rebirth.

The Catalyst — The Anomaly

No one knows where it began.
A shimmering aurora split the atmosphere — silent, vast, and unnatural.
Within hours, technology failed, cities died, and a quarter of humanity simply vanished.
In the days that followed, the skies bled color and the planet began to twist:

  • Rivers ran like molten glass.

  • Forests glowed with bioluminescent veins.

  • Creatures unknown to science — half organic, half metallic — began to roam.

  • The magnetic field fractured, rewriting weather, gravity, even time.

What remained of humankind scattered — confused, isolated, and afraid.
The event was called EarthFall — the day the world fell, and the human story reset.

Description

We’re seeking Storyboard Artists to help visually shape EarthFall during its early production stages. This role is key to translating scripts and ideas into clear, cinematic sequences that guide animation, pacing, and emotional impact.

EarthFall follows humanity after a catastrophic atmospheric anomaly wipes out over seventy-five percent of the global population, leaving behind a fractured world filled with strange energy phenomena, abandoned cities, and unanswered questions. Storyboard artists will play a central role in defining how this world is experienced on screen.

Responsibilities
  • Create storyboards for scenes based on scripts, outlines, or animatic needs

  • Establish shot composition, pacing, and visual flow

  • Collaborate closely with the director, writers, artists, and animators

Description

We’re seeking Visual Development Artists to help define the look, mood, and visual language of EarthFall. This role focuses on shaping the aesthetic identity of the series — from color and lighting to environmental tone and visual cohesion.

EarthFall explores a world forever changed by a catastrophic atmospheric anomaly that erased much of humanity and altered the environment itself. Visual development artists will help translate that emotional and narrative weight into compelling imagery that guides animation, storyboards, and final scenes.

Responsibilities
  • Create visual development artwork such as mood pieces, color scripts, and environment studies

  • Help establish lighting, color palettes, and atmosphere for different locations and moments

  • Collaborate with the director, storyboard artists, and animators to maintain visual consistency

  • Develop reference material that supports animatics and final animation

  • Participate in creative discussions about tone, worldbuilding, and visual storytelling

Requirements
  • Experience in digital illustration, concept art, or visual development (professional or hobbyist)

  • Proficiency with digital art tools (e.g., Photoshop, Procreate, Clip Studio, Krita, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of color, composition, lighting, and mood

  • Ability to work from loose direction and help refine a shared visual style

  • Interest in atmospheric, narrative-driven animated projects

Description

We’re seeking Lore & Narrative Consultants to help maintain continuity, thematic cohesion, and internal logic within the world of EarthFall. This role supports the writing and directing team by ensuring the story remains consistent, grounded, and emotionally resonant as the project grows.

EarthFall is built around layered mystery, fragmented perspectives, and a world reshaped by a catastrophic atmospheric anomaly. Lore consultants help track canon, refine worldbuilding details, and preserve narrative intent across episodes, scripts, and supplemental materials.

  • Review scripts, outlines, and lore documents for narrative clarity and cohesion

  • Help identify contradictions, gaps, or opportunities for deeper worldbuilding
