About this project
DYAD is a 2D Animated Series currently in development by Rea Bear Animates, and is being produced by Boldbird Studios. As we are working on the main series, we are making comics in the mean time to serve as promotional and supplemental material to go along with the main series. With these comics we get to explore more of the world and the people within it that we may not have gotten to otherwise. So while this may not be the MAIN series, this is still a project near and dear to our hearts, and we hope that there are other people who are willing to help us execute our vision!

What are we looking for?
As our comic team is ever expanding, and we are preparing for the official announcement of the main series, we are looking for more people who will be the perfect fit for our team! We are currently in need of background artists, character artists, and also comic script writers as well.
Our perfect team member will be someone who:
• is kind,
• is passionate,
• is fun to work with,
• is a team player,
• can adapt quickly to different styles,
• while maybe not the most experienced, is willing to learn and make revisions as necessary,
• can perform under pressure, and submit their work in by the deadline.
What are the comics like?
The comics are separated into two different categories:
1. One is a shorter, Webtoon style that we are using mainly as promotional material. These are quick, and pretty easy to pump out, so if you are not as experienced, we recommend this form for you.
2. The second is more similar to Manga or more traditional style of comic with emphasis on storybeats and emotional impact. This form serves as a more supplemental kind of comic and will be harder to develop, thus we generally recommend applying only if you are more experienced or are willing to commit to learning this specific style of comic.
Requirements
• Be age 16+. You MUST sign a contract and NDA prior to being officially accepted onto the team.
• If you are 16-17, you will need parental consent and get them to sign a form which will inform them of the role you are undertaking.
• You will need to link your portfolio in your audition. For character artists, you will need to showcase understanding of anatomy and be able to replicate the same character in different angles and positions multiple times. For background artists, you will need to show that you can replicate the same background from different angles and perspectives. And for comic script writers, you will need to show a developed understanding of the way comic scripts are made and be able to produce a well made script that is easy to understand.
• We welcome all people, experienced or not, so if you have great art but aren’t as well experienced in comics, we are still happy to take you on! We hope to foster an environment that facilitates growth and gives everyone the opportunity to grow! So all we ask is that you are open to continuously learning and helping others to improve as we all progress down our Artistic journeys together.
Payment?
Payment will differ between each position and will be on a commission basis. For individual payment information, please refer to the positions that you would like to apply for. NOTE: You must have Paypal to be paid.

Character Artists should be able to replicate a cartoon-comic art style, or at least be able to adapt quickly to other styles. You will need to show that you can replicate characters from their original design sheets and accurately draw them from different angles.

Comic Script Writers will need to showcase that they can write comic scripts that are easy to read, and that are creative. With the Webtoon style, you will need to show that you can produce a script that is short, but fun to read. And with the Traditional style you need to show a script that is well thought out, longer and more emotional/impactful.
