Drunks & Fanatics - Going Forward

Project Overview

In a world where magic and might make right, and the law can’t do everything, requests are made to individuals and groups alike to handle all kinds of problems. From squishing slimes to shoveling shit, there’s almost nothing these people won’t do. But it’s not all gold and glory. Many bite off more than they can chew and become something’s meal, or forget about how they have to pay rent and get kicked out of their comfy inn bed. It’s not an easy road to walk, but many accept the challenge. We call these people “adventurers”.

After having created a total of three videos for our show, my co-creator and I decided that it would be a good idea to bring more people on board behind the scenes to help make production easier. We're putting this casting call out to find additional writers, editors, and artists to help out with the series. All of the positions listed below will be for episode 4 and beyond for the series.

  • Quick Update

    Just wanted to post an update to say that we are going to keep the deadline moved a month each time until we find another writer at the minimum. Also, just to clarify a small detail, the show is a comedy with lots of D&D and tabletop game references along with some pop culture. Serious stories aren't bad to submit, but please be aware that it is a comedy at the end of the day. Additionally, to be part of the writing team, you do not need to be the best writer. You can be a comedian or have plenty of hilarious life experiences or stories you know. Sincerely, Sairren

Another video editor to help get episodes out faster. You can choose whichever scenes you would like to edit together and will be given full access to all special effects, assets, and voice acting lines recorded for the episodes. You only have to get to work once the VA lines are sent in to produce an episode once a month (or so).

Additionally, you can choose what scenes you would like to handle. It can be specific ones, ones where characters are only talking, or ones where characters are only fighting.

Due to creating typos or general errors in scripts, we would like to bring on an editor for the scripts to help make sure they convey our intentions correctly and to catch any errors and fix them. This is only necessary after the script is finished, which should (hopefully) be done once a month (or so).

As a "VA Editor" we will need you to go through VA work sent in to us and check it for any errors and then cut it up (if it hasn't been already) for video editing to make episode production much easier. You'll have full access to all VA work submitted for the show and will only have to do this after all the VA work is submitted to us and can work on your own if you would like to.

We need pixel artists specifically due to the current way the show is being produced. Currently we are using a character generator for a majority of the cast with commissioned work for specific characters. We'd like to have a few artists that are available to work for us every now and then. You'll be paid per piece we need such as custom character portraits, combat "tokens", or cleaning up some pieces of already existing assets. 

Understand that this is an on-call position for the time being.
