Project Overview
Dream Girl Kittoh is an Original Video Animation about the Dream Goddess, Kittoh: A mythical being that appears in the dreams of men suffering from severe and suppressed mental trauma. Her purpose as the Dream God is to assist the ailing men in unlocking the truths to their suffering so that they may begin the healing process once they awaken. She enters the mind of a young Painter, who longs for peace of mind. The two begin an unsettling journey into the dreamer's mind.

The protagonist of the story who resides in The Painter’s Oblivion. The Painter as he appears in his own mind is a young adult male, with a strong artistic talent and a refined ability to lucid dream. This allows him to access endless areas of his mind and paint a picture of vivid memories. The Painter is cool and content at the surface, but beneath this façade is a deep underlying pain. When his composure is tested he can easily crack under pressure, but what remains clear to him is that his desire for mental peace is unfaltering.
(Annoyed) Is that supposed to be sarcastic? Life isn't supposed to suffering, you know. It's not supposed to be bliss either. It should be balanced.. fair.
(Realization) I understand you now. You're my dream guide, aren't you? You're leading me to forgotten places in my mind. Memories.. that I've suppressed.
(Maniacal laughing turned to shouting in confidence) You're screwed now!! This is MY Dream!!
A mysterious woman that appears in the Painter’s Dream. She guides the Painter throughout his memories, searching for the source of his trauma. Kittoh is a calming spirit; lighthearted in her tone, but can have a slightly sarcastic manner of speaking when the Painter is unable to catch on to her elusive riddles.
(Welcoming) Hi there! My name's Kittoh! I'll be your dream guide today! Ready to take a walk?
(Teasing) Oh? So you don't need my help? Okay then! I guess I'll go...
(Insightful) You know what a lot of kids your age are looking for these days? Validation. You’re looking for your friends to tell you how cool you are, you’re looking for your parents to say they’re proud of you, you’re looking for your enemies to say they’re jealous of you. But what you REALLY want is the same thing that every living being as always wanted: Love.
