Dragon Quest Comic Dub(s)
Project Overview
This is a non-profit fan based project that plans to dub comics/manga based off of the Dragon Quest video game franchise. These will be posted on YouTube and hopefully will help bring some interest to the biggest Japanese franchise no one's heard of. :)
Currently we are focusing on a small set of roles, but if the project works out, this could quickly be expanded to many more roles from the various installments in this long running franchise.
If you'd like to audition, the only thing we request is the best you've got! Make sure you really get into the acting and provide the best quality possible (e.g. good mic, and good recording area.)

The Hero never talks in the games, so you'll have to make up a voice. He should sound like a young British man, and sound friendly; neither strong nor weak. Beyond that, it's up to you.
Wait, you were cheating in that last game? (slightly surprised or puzzled tone)
Dunno, never touched 'em. (casual conversation tone)
Jessica Albert is a feisty girl of seventeen that became traumatized by the murder of her brother, Alistar. Now set to avenge his soul, she embarks on her quest along side the Hero, Yangus, and Angelo. Although very quick to anger, she actually has a soft-spot in her heart.

Yes, they're real! (very annoyed tone, almost shouted)
I will avenge my brother's death! (stern tone, with passion)
Just leave that to me (happy tone, slightly suggestive)
Yangus is a brute who hasn't really found his courage. Although quick to anger, he tends to cower in the face of danger. That said, he always pulls through in the end.

Cor blimey! Don't spook me like that! (startled tone, shouted)
Oy, guv! We bettah set off early if we wanna get there before the pub closes! (hearty tone)

Losing his parents at a young age, he was brought to an abbey and raised as a Templar Knight. He is a humble character, with a strong sense of chivalry and romance. He has feelings for Jessica.

I've learned to never trust anyone or anything. (casual, yet serious tone, slight emphasis on "or")
I give you my dearest possession, my Templar ring; my very heart. (romantic tone, as if wooing a girl)
I will not stand down! I will fight! (fierce tone, filled with passion, shouted)
