Project Overview
On the 31st of October, Jane D Lynn went missing. There were no traces of her, no footprints, no notes, like she never existed. At least, that's what it seemed to the public. She in fact did leave a note, to her best friend in the whole world, Misanthropy "Opy" Moore. The letter wasn't long, nor was it emotional. It merely contained a neatly written sentence of 7 words.
"I am going to meet the Bogeyman."
And there were footprints. Well, not real footprints, breadcrumbs, but not actual breadcrumbs. Clues. Opy managed to pick open Jane's locker to find a letter with a wax seal that had been opened. Inside detailed instructions to travel to another dimension. The letter had a bunch of rules she didn't really care about, but what really stuck out was the end.

The black moon...the last black moon occurred the Halloween Jane went missing, which means Jane must've made it to this mysterious "Realm", which means...
Oh dear.
If Opy wants to find Jane, she needs to journey across another dimension.
This is going to be a horror, mixed media visual novel for the 8th annual Spooktober Visual Novel Jam. I was initially planning for me and my other teammate to do the voices, but we figured that we weren't versatile enough to bring the characters to life. If everything goes well after the jam (assuming we win something) Then the game will be put on Steam and Itchio for free
Voice Actor
The protagonist of our story. A quiet girl who's often struggled with interaction growing up. Her former peers would regard her as "strange" or "eerie". Her voice is soft, with a hint of melancholy. Unlike other characters, I actually have a specific vision for her voice. For reference, I recommend listening to Vertin's voice and lines from Reverse 1999, since she's basically my voice claim for Opy. VA should also be capable of performing hard hitting, emotional lines with lots of yelling, screaming and crying.

Alright...just a few more of these... And finally, according to the ritual, I need to write my name on a piece of paper and burn it. Misanthropy...Moore. Done I'm all prepared. If I did this right, that means the entrance should appear...right in front of me.
I doubt that's the case. If the Bogeyman truly wanted her disspearance to be known, why would he choose such a discreet method? He could've easily snatched her from my world and let that be the end of it, instead, he chose to lure her, for it to seem like it was out of her own will, note and everything.
(bit of yelling here) Jane, I understand how you feel, believe me, I get it! But...leaving home? Leaving your family, leaving me? Did you truly despise living in our world that much? Did you really hate being with me?
Voice Actor
Opy's best friend. A peculiar young girl who doesn't seem to hide her feelings or intentions. The perfect complement to her quiet, hesitant, Opy. Her voice is calm and sweet, think around Sua's tone of voice from Alien Stage with the airiness of Carol's English dub from Tomo Chan is a Girl!)

Haha! C'mon Opy! You've always been so gloomy...no wonder I left you! The bogeyman doesn't like spoilsports, but if you maybe put on a smile for once, he won't eat your eyes! haha! Or wait...was that the sandman...? Meh, I couldn't care less!
Voice Actor
A porcelain companion to Opy who offers to help her find her missing friend. They're extremely anxious and on edge most of the time, and often fiddle or fidget with their porcelain skin, causing scratches. They have a higher pitched yet soft male voice (Think Varian from the Tangled Series or Eclipse from PPIDWBAMG!)

Opy, just listen to me! If we go in there, you're dead! Done! you won't find your friend, you won't find the Bogeyman, and you're definitely not getting out of here if you choose to walk through that door! Why can't you get that through your thick skull? Why can't you understand that...not...not everyone can be saved...
Opy, no matter how good a friend you may be, and no matter the countless times you've gotten us out of sticky situations, I would still rather eat tar than one of Snap Apple's apples even if it meant we would win millions.
Voice Actor
Cozen is an Anthropomorphic Hare working at Blackjack's Casino. He seems deeply amused by Opy's determination, and occasionally provides information in exchange for fox brains, which he finds delectable. He's incredibly snarky and sly, to the point where he comes off as more deceptive rather than charming. His voice should be sneaky, sorta in a state of constantly amused. Think Michael Kovach mixed with David Tennant (if that makes sense). Really chipper, charming and overall someone who you would feel comfortable talking to yet have this air of unease constantly lurking.

Voice Actor
A floating apple with dangling organs , she's a saleperson who sells poisoned candy apples that was "wronged" by Jane. She has a warm and cheerful voice (think Snow White from Ever After High) that becomes cold and irritable when talking about Jane.

Dawning multiple masks and corresponding personalities, there's a Falsie for everyone! While her voice varies from personality to personality, the base one is something cheery yet slightly unsettling, think Mizi from Zombie Stage or Ai from Oshi no Ko
