Doctor Who: New Futures - Casting for Episodes; 4, 5/6, 8/9
Project Overview
First things first, this isn't my project. I have written episodes for this project but I am not producing it. I was just asked by the producer to search far and wide for voice actors, so here I am.
This series summary:
For starters, what is "Doctor Who: New Futures"? Well, it is a series of doctor who that is very, very different from many that have come before it. It is an audio series that revolves around an incarnation of the doctor that has lost his memories, during the series we discover why he has lost his memories, going down many wrong paths and encountering many enemies, some new, some old and some that did this to him. With the doctor, on his travels, is Izzy, a very abrasive girl from revolutionary Paris who had to survive on the streets. She travels with the doctor, in hopes, that she could save her brother from his death caused in episode 1, of course, the doctor discovers this isn't possible, and Izzy has to accept that.

Episode 4:
NOW FULLY CAST
This episode revolves around the idea of changing a timeline, for better or for worse. It takes place on a ship which was created to try and stop a comet from colliding with the planet they live on. Problem is, one of their crew is a mysterious someone who has come from the future and is trying to sabotage the mission, let the comet collide into the planet. His reason? In the future, the planet becomes a factory for the greatest war in the universe and they want to stop it.
Episode 5/6:
A two-part story that revolves around a missing-cases mystery in and around the historic "Mother Shipton's Cave" in Knaresborough. This has the doctor flung into the mystery, trying to work out what had caused the disappearances, only to find that the weeping angels were behind the whole thing, turning people into angels to move a statue into a waterfall to bring back an angel sent to get an artefact belonging to them. And when the doctor is separated from Izzy after being sent back in time, how do the pair of them save everyone and stop the angels?
Episode 8/9:
Another two-part story and the finale to the series. This revolves around a mystery that has plagued the series from the beginning, what caused the doctor's memory loss, and what is this blue light? The doctor works out the origin and finds himself on a planet where it is all going on. Someone (an old friend) is opening wormholes to different dimensions and attempting to bring objects, things, beings and planets through to this universe, all in an attempt to make the perfect universe with the perfect beings and the perfect planets. Except they get double-crossed with the beings they were working with and the machine goes haywire! How do they stop this from happening?!
All stories have been written and are awaiting recording, so voice actors cast will not be waiting around to do their lines. Currently, we are advertising and editing together the first episode of this series with the hope to have weekly uploads of episodes starting on 20th of October 2023. A very authorative woman who has taken over a case of strange disappearances. Although on the outside, she doesn't seem to care too much for the case and the people she is working with, she actually gets very curious and even uses the deaths of many officers she was meant to be looking after as a way to push to get this case done.
This is a large role.

Someone very good at his job, very efficient, highly liked by Jade. But in serious situations he becomes nervous.

(to radio) Police Constable Peter Jones reporting to all officers stationed at Mother Shipton's cave. Please make your way inside the cave and look around. We have found one of the kidnapped victims in the cave and would like you to search for the others. Over.
There doesn’t seem to be an uncorrupted version of the CCTV footage… With all these cameras about, I thought at least one of them could capture our kidnapper but… Nothing… Guess I better patch the live CCTV feed from the servers here onto my laptop. Should be easy enough… Just got to… (pause) And done! There!
(terrified) Oh god, oh god, oh god… HELP! HELP ME!
His name is Tom. Someone who likes to joke around during his job, but when a crisis comes up, he is straight to work.
This is a small role.

(surprised, worried) Ma’am… I think… I think you should take a look at this.
A very nervous and mysterious character. She has been through a lot, her brother got kidnapped, she also did but managed to escape, very quiet.

(weak) …Leave me! Quick! Before… Argh! Before I turn into one of those things… (pause) I don’t want to kill anyone… I DON'T! I can feel myself changing… Any second now… You need to go… If not for your sake… For mine… Please…
Two characters which are very small roles. Just your general police officers, don't get much "screen time".

I can patch my translation device into the computer system. It seems that the computer readout system is reporting errors.
I appear to be in good health. I think whatever is outside has severed a wire of importance, miss. Are you quite alright?
Warp active. Due to the power fluctuation, all power will have to be diverted to the warp drive to have it run efficiently. You shall be starved of oxygen, light and other necessities for a period of 2 seconds. Would this be ok?
These two characters were put as one due to them being the same person of different ages.
Agent Sontheil (AS) is an always active, very mischievous young woman who loves danger and just getting out of trouble. This is a small role.
Mother Shipton (MS) is an old woman without hope, someone forced back in time, berated by her ancestors for being a witch. This is a medium-sized role.

(MS) (panicked) Keep away from it! Don't touch it!
(MS) (loss of hope) I had been thieving for seven years… In all that time, I never even thought about home, couldn’t care less about it. But when that angel hijacked my ship, I wanted nothing less than to go home. And when I get here? Everyone hates me and I am forced to sleep in a cave.
Someone who is very aggressive, blaming Mother Shipton for "killing" his parents.

Don’t rightly know. Maybe we’re getting a new moon.
He’s very rude your friend. You can do better than him.
A young woman, curious, strong-willed and determined. Although told not to do something, they do it if their curiosity gets the better of them.
Medium Role.

(in an argument) If anything’s happened then what? What are you going to do?
Gone. Where did they go? The footprints just stop.
Follows ordered, though does have a questioning side. Brave but not wreckless as Seraz might be on occasion. Has a romantic interest in Seraz, which is why he keeps turning a blind eye to her misdemeanours.

By my estimate, we’ve been tracking on a parallel course. Izzy should have entered the Forbidden Zone one click to the north.

Someone to do cover-art for the series. If you need references, just look up "big finish cover art" on google images. You shall be doing cover-art for 9 different episodes and shall be working closely with the producer and writer of each episode to get the cover art done.
