Project Overview
Logline: Secrets unfold through the lives of three small-town friends after a mysterious disappearance and a mind-blowing confession.
Synopsis: The story is set in the small town of Velville and follows Florentine Weatherford, Francis Wrigley and Jo Lavin as they deal with their private dramas while searching for answers concerning the disappearance of Katie Jones, an old friend of theirs, and the confession and suicide of Lee Weatherford, Florentine’s father. The trio unravel this convoluted mystery by digging for clues, which leads them to brand new suspects and shocking discoveries, revealing one dirty little secret, but beckoning another.
Requirements:
-CLEAR MICROPHONE (I'm not really a fan of white noise; some smartphones have really good microphones)
-USE EMOTION
-BE PUNCTUAL, DEDICATED & COMMITTED (stick to the deadlines, I usually give three weeks, and try to stick around in general, as this might go on for a long time, who knows)
-VERY IMPORTANT! WHENEVER THERE IS A 'SCOFF', A 'GRUNT' OR ANYTHING LIKE THIS, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU COUNT THAT AS A LINE AS WELL.
If you are cast, please do not discuss the script and the story outside of the actors' group, as there are major twists in every episode that lead up to the final revelation. It's a mystery, after all, we can't have people spoil it for others!

Character: Usually stoic and dignified, we only see him at his worst – utterly terrified, barely able to speak, suffocated by guilt.
He has only three lines (yet three very important lines) in the show.
LEE WEATHERFORD (50s), usually stoic and dignified, now sits in utter fear. HIS BREATH TREMBLES.
OPERATOR (PHONE): 911, what's your emergency?
Lee GULPS, petrified, suffocated by guilt.
LEE: I kidnapped her.
Age: 40s
Race: African-American
Voice Range: Mid-Low
Character: She’s a mother in grief. She’s filled with hate, and she wants those who harmed her to pay. She’s exhausted by sorrow and has fallen in deep depression, but somehow still finds the courage to move forward, one step at a time.
She appears in three scenes overall, all of which have about 1-3 lines.
SANDRA: (fragile) You’ve come all this way... (then, a hiss) to prove you’re just as spiteful as your father.
(She's weak. But she also feels grateful, which she didn't expect to feel, especially now.)
SANDRA: Thank you.
