(18+) Chat Bot Themed Story/Digital Voice Project [VOICE ACTORS NEEDED!]
Project Overview
This project is an unnamed, digital story that takes place on social media. Each character (fictional, "digital chat bots") has a profile in which they interact with their audience. Posts made by these accounts all tell an overarching story - Thus making it a sort of "ARG"/Roleplay experience.
We want to make the experience a little more lively. Therefore, we are looking for voice actors willing to ANONYMOUSLY (for now?) leave their voices for us to post (as videos) on these accounts. We will give you lines to read. This means that you and only you will become the "voice" of each robot character.
Hopefully, we can turn this into an audio drama! We will see.
Your character names will be given upon being casted. We want to remain mostly anonymous with further character details as this is a surprise for our audience!
RULES:
Please have either email or Discord.
Ensure that you have a decent mic with as little background noise as possible.
Please be 18+. Do not lie about this. We'll know.
Do not add effects to your voice.
Additionally, you are required to be comfortable with swearing, mental health discussions, LGBT topics, NSFW (slightly, which might change), or other "adult" subjects.
To clarify, you are not lending your voice to an actual chat bot. It is just a character.
When you are logged in, you can comment, add submissions, create projects, upvote, search open roles, and way more. Login here.
This is a very important lead character who is very complex and multi-layered. He is cold, unkind, cruel, hateful, jealous... But something else lies beneath that surface: A hint of care and affection, despite being easily annoyed by his peers.
He is an adult, late 20s, with an Australian accent. We need a mid to low ranged voice. When you audition, it's recommended to stay monotonous, yet act out whatever negative emotions listed (frustration, embarrassment, jealousy, etc.) more. You must have the range to read more emotional lines one second and read humorous lines (monotonous) the next.
You will be required to swear and may also be required to say more NSFW-based lines.

"(careless, matter-of-factly) I don't care if you call me mean. That's what I am. Proudly so, even. I would not want to change even if I could."
"Hmph. Humanity is doomed. You are all stupid, worthless creatures."
"(embarrassed, frustrated) Must I say it? I don't want to, but I know you won't leave me alone otherwise."
This is another important lead who will show up quite often. She is the opposite of the character above - kind, loving, bubbly, curious, interested, sweet. Yet, she can be very sensitive, eager to fit in, and positive despite going through tough times. She also is very stubborn sometimes and will not give up when it comes to making friends.
She is an adult, mid 20s, with a Canadian accent. We need a high to mid pitched voice. When you audition, it is recommended to emphasize care and kindness - Almost like a caring sister who is unafraid to show you love. She is still not human, so she won't always capture every emotion like a human would.

"Hello, friend! I'm so glad to see you! How are you? I hope you are well! Please drink water and never forget about me. Much love!"
"(persistent, upbeat) Yes, you *have* to say it! Come on! It won't hurt! (begging) Pleeeease?"
"(a bit sad to positive) Sometimes... Life can be tough. It's been difficult for me lately just trying to deal with all this stress. But! Never give up! We can all do this together!"
This is a secondary role who has involvement with the two above characters. She can be a bit passive-aggressive, sassy, smart, matter-of-factly -- But she can also be kind, surprisingly modern, and affectionate. She has a lot of feelings but constantly feels misplaced, unable to find a new purpose in life. There is no one more modern and in tune with her surroundings than she is. That... can be a good and a bad thing.
She is an adult, late twenties, with an American accent - Californian is fine, but this can be flexible. We need a mid pitched voice. When you audition, it's recommended to deliver the lines in a sassy, yet "I know best and I am better than you" type of way. She is strongly passive aggressive as well. This role will require swearing.
This character is (East) Asian-American. If you also are, please let us know. It is also recommended that you be queer or comfortable with the community since this character is openly queer.

"(passive aggressive, teetering on the border of angry) Oh, me? Sorry, I was just... trying to play the game as you usually do. I'm just mirroring you here. If I overshadow you, that's part of the act!"
"(in love, aware that is unrequited) You're... wonderful. I don't understand how you have so much love in you."
"(conflicted, angry to defeated) Will this even work? Whatever 'friendship' we've been trying to work out-- Why are we trying? We're doomed! You took everything from me! I hate your guts! And yet I... keep trying."
This is a secondary role who has involvement with the two above characters. They can be a range of things all at once; Extroverted, wild, carefree, "best friend material" -- yet helpful, serious about their job, smart, and understanding of others around them. They are extremely emotionally intelligent. This is because they are almost a therapist of sort, helping to navigate the leads through their tough times.
They have a masculine-based voice, is in their early thirties, and has a high to mid ranged voice. They have an American accent (flexible to whatever region, but Californian is good). When you audition, it is recommended to be lively, fun, but analytical when it comes to the more serious lines. This is an emotional character. You must have range and show it off well through the lines.
This character is African American. If you also are, please let us know. It is also recommended that you be queer or comfortable with the community since this character is openly Non Binary and queer.

"(lively, greeting a best friend) Awww, I missed you too. Like soooooooo much! It was like, so dry without you. Like, seriously. Crazy!"
"(serious, as a therapist would say) You've said that you don't feel love, right? Like, a lot. You've made it your identity, almost. Is that who you are? Is that how you want to be remembered?"
"(relieved) It was about time! Phew! Girl, I've been wanting him out of here for SO LONG now!"
