Diaries Choose Your Story is a remake of Aphmau's Minecraft Diaries season 1. It aims to retell the story in a way that many more people (both fans and non-fans) can enjoy.
The game will be free to play with optional donations that go towards paying fees for releases on platforms other than PC. We aim to release the game in 2020 at the latest with around 30 chapters (this is just an estimate). The game will have multiple endings (both good and bad), 4 main routes, and 1 secret route, all of which the player can take/receive based on their choices.
Plot
You are a girl who has awoken with no memory of her past and no knowledge of the world around her. A completely blank slate whose fate is in your hands.
You find a village, struggling without a lord after the previous lord mysteriously “disappeared.”
Despite being told to try and avoid it, the villagers begin to see you as their lord, claiming that something about you is “special”. You agree to become lord of the village, and for a period of time, everything goes perfectly. You get to know the people of the village and watch as it grows and expands.
Although you face many trials as a lord, you always pull through, even in the darkest of times.
But will it stay that way forever?
Requirements
Some of the character sprites haven't been completed yet because they aren't shown until later into the story; so for some characters, their original Minecraft skins have been used as character pictures instead.

Zane is the main antagonist throughout the game. Zane is the brother of Garroth, and his father, Garte, is the Lord of O'Khasis--one of Ru'aun's largest cities. He is hungry for power, and uses his status as the high priest of O'Khasis to lure people into trusting him.
He enjoys watching people suffer as much as possible, and ruining people's lives is practically a hobby for him. His status makes him almost completely untouchable to those beneath him, without major consequences, and he uses this to his every advantage.

FINALLY, IRENE'S RELIC IS MINE! (Evil laughter).
Garroth is Phoenix Drop's second in command guard. He is extremely loyal to Lord Aphmau, and puts her safety over his own well-being, whether that be a good or bad thing. Garroth's biggest weakness is the feelings he develops for Aphmau overtime. Unlike Laurance, he tries to hide his true feelings and continues his duties as a guard. Growing up, Garroth had a loving mother who cared for him and his two brothers. She always tried her best to see the good in each of them, even though Zane was noticeably more like their corrupt, power-hungry father.
Garroth is one of the 4 romanceable characters in the game.

"???" and Aphmau will have the same voice actor, however, Aphmau's voice will only appear in trailers.
Aphmau is the main character of the story, and the character that the player plays as.
Not much can be said for "???", as most of its storyline is non-discloseable and original to the game. This character is present throughout the entire game, however, the protagonist doesn't know of its existence until the final chapter. The character is not a living being, nor is it something that you can physically touch. It exists outside of the realm the game takes place in; some would even say it exists outside of time itself. Many people refer to this character as "the orb", due to its orb-like appearance.
This character will be used as a narrator for the game's introduction scene.
Whether we end up casting a new voice for this character or not depends on how good the auditions are. The current VA is the game's creator, Pink09.

Laurance was an orphan, adopted by the previous Lord of Meteli, Joh. When he was old enough, he became the head guard of Meteli. One night, he turned his back for a second, and when he turned back, Joh had an arrow pierced through his heart. Now living with the guilt of his lord and adopted father's death, Laurance continues his duties as Meteli's head guard.
Laurance comes off as a typical casanova. He jumps to conclusions quickly and at times can be extremely hot headed. Being a guard, he takes his lord's protection seriously, however, unlike Garroth, Laurance isn't afraid to push the boundaries a little with Lord Aphmau. He can be seen flirting with Aphmau whenever the opportunity arises for him to do so. He's well known for his cheesy pickup lines, and his good sense of humor makes him someone you could easily have a good laugh with in almost any situation.
Laurance is one of the 4 romanceable characters in the game.

You have no idea.. how much pain.. mentally.. physically.. becoming one of them is.
Kiki is sweet, kind, and caring. She loves nature and animals, and she despises any avoidable violence. She doesn't like anyone who does not like animals, but will barely tolerate people if they like only one type of animal. When she was young, Kiki was raised in a werewolf tribe and was the love interest of soon to be alpha, Bodolf. Kiki is not her real name, but it is what everyone calls her because of her laugh. Her specific type of magicks allow her to communicate with animals.
Kiki is one of the 4 romanceable characters, however, her route is shorter compared to the lead/main characters.
