Derpy- MLP Phantom of the Opera
Project Overview
This audio drama is the story of Fluttershy and her father TimeTurner arriving in the big city of Maris, Prance to begin their lives anew. Together, they join work for the famous opera house where tales of a mysterious creature is said to haunt below the stage. While above, there is a handsome prince who has eyes for Fluttershy, but is her affection all he truly wants...?
In need of a female voice actress for the supporting role of Derpy in our audio drama adaption "Opera Phantom Discord" (A Fluttercord story). This project is going to be long winded, so continuous check ins and voice work will be needed as episode production goes on.

In this adaption, Derpy is a hunchback with little education and is a very sweet soft spoken young mare. However, she has the mentality of a young child. She is very meek, shy, has strong strength and has a stutter when she speaks. She has suffered a past of torment and ridicule for her deformity, hating when others argue or shout. She loves fairytales, most especially the story of the kind hunchback who rings the bells of the church.
[Apologizing for interrupting his work]
DERPY: "F-f-forgive me, master...".
DERPY: (Meekly) "I just…c-c-couldn't help overhearing…t-that you were t-talking…about the c-c-costume mare…"
DERPY: (Sweetly) "I like her…she s-seems d-d-different…nice…like the g-gypsy mare…"
[Explaining her reason for mentioning the gypsy]
DERPY: (Slow timid tone) "Yes…f-from the s-stories…that Rarity t-tells us…like the one w-with the hunchback…in the c-c-cathedral…"
[Trying to stop Dash from scaring someone]
DERPY: (Timid but determined) "L-leave h-him alone, R-rainbow Dash!"
[Crying in offense to being yelled at and reminded of her abusive past]
DERPY: (Crying)
[Calming down from crying]
DERPY: (Sniffling/curious) "D-do you know g-gypsies?"
[Telling her interest of kind gypsies with slight excitement of having someone to talk about it more with her.]
DERPY: (Happily) "Gypsies! I…I know a s-story…with a b-beautiful gypsy mare!"
