Defender Saturn Animation
Project Overview
Hi everyone, this casting call is for an Animated short I am working on that is trying to replicate the style of an 80's/90's anime like Sailor Moon. While I don't have a budget yet, I'm working on getting one, so voices that say 0 budget are subject to around change to $25 - $30 in the future. I am casting for four main characters here, two male, and two female. All roles are in English, but two characters speak with an accent. I really want to make sure this project is as fun as possible, so I'm very flexible when it comes to deadlines and the sort.
Remember that since I'm going for a style of a retro anime dub, so cheesy equals good!

Aundro is the main star of the show, so as such she has the most screen time and lines. As the captain of the police force, Aundro is strong and vigilant. Normally speaks with confidence and doesn't really joke around a whole lot.
[You arrive a little late at the scene of a bank robbery] Sorry I'm late, I had to take my little sister home from school.
[The villain seems to have an extremely strong weapon, and you are contemplating to yourself a strategy to getting around it] (Very concentrated) Damn, there doesn't seem to be a way to catch him from the sides, and worst of all is we aren't even all here- [the solution has come to you] (gasp) wait that's it.
[This is the main phrase you say as you are about to land the finishing blow on the bank robber, anime style] (pumped up) Defenders! On my mark!!!
Defender Mercury is confident and a little impatient. Normally jumps into action without giving things a second thought. Being fast, acting fast, that's his motto. He is actually very comparable to Sonic the Hedgehog, if that help give an idea of how he sounds.
[The last of the crew has finally arrived at the scene of the bank robbery, and you are getting a little impatient] (Eager to get things started) Hey, can we cut the chatter and get things started already?
[During the encounter with the villain, you try and get him from behind] (Arrogantly) Ha! You baddies always leave your guard down!
[Simply asking a genuine question to another member of your team] So, exactly how many raves do you attend per week?
Defender Venus is always making snide or vulgar comments about the situation. She almost always sounds sarcastic. Even when following order from the captain, she makes it seem like she is doing it on her own.
[After hearing the captain give her reason to being late, you jokingly make a comment] (sarcastically) Aw, that's too bad, you should've brought your sister here so I can show her that trick I showed you the other day.
[You are commenting to your team about the villain and how he is the same villain your team beat last week] Ha! I don't think we were clear enough last time. I say this time, we lay it on 'em TWICE as hard *giggle*
[Another team member asked you how many raves you attend a week] (sarcastically) *giggle* wouldn't you like to know?
Defender Jupiter is a very excitable character. He is actually very caring, and when he say he'll protect you, he means it. Rather than sounding like a shouting brute, he actually sounds more like just a very excited, noble knight.
[You quite literally "drop in" to the scene of the bank robbery] (excited) ALRIGHT! JUPITER IS HERE!!!
[You rush over to protect one of the other team members] Fear not friend! The enemies attacks shall NOT harm you!
[Your team has successfully saved the day and you are congratulating them] (proudly) That was amazing friends! No one can mess with THE DEFENDERS!!!
