Debut: An Audiodrama
Project Overview
As rookie idol group GAL3XY rises to the spotlight, they're unaware of the costs of their rising fame, unknowingly drawing in some dangerous, unwanted attention.

Deadlines are fairly flexible, but would generally like to have lines by two weeks of casting (the quicker, the better!). If you don’t think you can meet this deadline, please don’t audition. Recording will be done remotely and asynchronously.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be 13+ to audition
Please be sure your recording doesn’t have any background noise. Good quality mic is recommended.
Must have discord to communicate (or be willing to create an account)
Please include your discord username in your audition.
When auditioning, please READ ALL THREE LINES (exception if role has less than 3 lines).
Please feel free to experiment when recording. Do variations of the lines, ad-lib, all is welcome, interpret the characters your way.

XīngYín has a Northeastern US accent with a very slight Chinese accent. She's full of energy, excited and enthusiastic about pretty much everything. She's known on stage as Starling.

Amiee has a northeastern US accent and a slight British accent as well. She is kind and caring, and often concerned. She acts as the motherly figure in the group. She's known on stage as Sunny.
Note: XīngYín is pronounced like sheeng-yeen.

Her stage name is Muuna. Lilly has a northeastern US accent. She's very shy in real life, but has a very peppy persona on screen/stage.

I didn’t finish reading it. (Clears throat) “I’m your biggest fan, how about you girls come and do a personal meet and greet? Winking emoji.”

(reporting) You’re watching Channel 5 News, where today we’re covering the debut of a new idol group, GAL3XY. Their debut was the opening act for the most popular girl group as of 2024, LUV-ZONE, and they performed their new single, Milky Way. Their reception was overwhelmingly positive, and it seems like these young idols have a future in stardom. Now, to my colleague, conducting a live interview with the girls.
(up to interpretation) Good morning, and welcome to Channel 5 News. Last night, there were reports about a mysterious figure breaking into the shared apartment of the newly debuted idol group GAL3XY. When the manager of the group came to get them for training in the morning, they were nowhere to be seen. Police are still trying to figure out what happened, but there have been no clues yet as to what occurred last night. Incidents like these have been skyrocketing lately, which has caused most idol groups to increase security, with LUV-ZONE cancelling their next fan meet-up. More on this story after our commercial break.
Late 20s, any gender
Has a clear voice. A news reporter conducting live interviews with the group. They certainly sometimes do portray some emotions and their personal opinions when interviewing. Sometimes a little skeptical and awkward.
(interviewing) Thank you. I’m here with GAL3XY, the up-and-coming girl group with three members. Can you introduce yourselves?
(Awkward laugh) Now, tell me, girls, how did you feel singing for the first time on the big stage today?
(Fake enthusiasm) Yes, we really do need to appreciate the people behind the scenes. But doesn’t this newfound popularity make you worried?
