Project Overview

Dead Signal is a three-episode noir audio drama set in Portland, Oregon, 1951. Produced by The Murk Audio LLC, an independent audio drama studio based in Portland.

A private detective takes a missing persons case on the waterfront. The case is not what it appears. Neither is the detective.

Professional binaural 3D spatial audio production. Recording at a Portland post-production studio, June 2026. All recording is on-site in Portland. Episode 1 drops August 15, 2026.

Submissions accepted May 9–16. Stage 2 candidates receive custom sides for callbacks (May 17–23). Submit your reel using the Audition button above.

Pete — Bartender at Rudy's. Minimal. Deadpan. Two lines across the series, both land hard.

Mrs. Gale — Ray's landlady. Warm, slightly too cheerful for the hour. Brief appearances.

Nurse - Caregiver. Brief appearance.
