Dead Company's Tales: Ad Victoriam - Fallout 4 Machinima

Project Overview


Tales of the Waste is a Fallout 4 machinima series by Dead Company about a group of mercenaries in post-apocalyptic Boston. Episodes are typically around 15 minutes per video, and each episode spans 1-3 videos.

This casting call will cast both major and minor characters, some of which appear in multiple episodes. One character, Eve, will make her debut in February, and the rest will appear in the next episode in March. We will expect lines for all characters to be submitted by February 15, except Eve, who we will need by January 31 for the first script she appears in. Eve will be cast earlier than the listed project deadline to allow the actress enough time.

As this is an unpaid project, mic quality is a factor, but is by no means a deal-breaker. If you're right for the part, we can work around some preeeeetty bad mic situations; we've done it before.

Information on this character will be limited on the casting call to avoid posting major series spoilers. This character is a reoccurring role that will appear as a lead in 3 episodes of season 1, and also in season 2.



Eve is a kind person, and very empathetic. Although she is tough and not to be trifled with, she becomes an important friend and ally to a member of Dead Company in their quest to gain closure with their past.

  • (skeptical) So where do your loyalties lie these days... "Lancer"? Not with the Brotherhood of Steel?

  • (cheeky) I've never been afraid to play with fire.

Medium pitch, late teens to early 20s, African American. Raised in Boston, but has slight or no regional accent.


This character appears in one episode in season 1, but is an extremely important role. The actress selected must be able to convey a wide range and a lot of depth. Role requires screaming.

Jessica is the childhood best friend of Lancer, who appears in a flashback. Headstrong, confident, and witty, she eventually becomes the leader of his team in the Brotherhood of Steel. She is highly competitive and works hard to become the best at everything she does. Her sense of humor is very dry, but she's a bubbly person who laughs often. Jessica also has a serious side that comes out when she's working, and she possesses a huge amount of focus and discipline. Her voice actress must be able to portray both sides.

  • [Teen Jessica] I get off easy because my parents already went through this with Rodney. They’re like “oh shit yeah, both the kids are gone, we can finally take that trip to New Vegas!”

  • (shrugging, feigning humility) What can I say? I just do what I do. I was destined for greatness.

  • Right now, my hand is on his carotid artery, and he’s lost a lot of blood already. If I move, he’ll bleed out. If you go right now, you may be able to get help in time to save him. (pause) That was not a suggestion! Go now!

Cora is a talented young Brotherhood of Steel pilot, and the best friend of Jessica Williams. She is edgy and sarcastic, but is a loyal friend and good person.

  • You’re talking an awful lot of shit these days, for somebody who literally collected an exhaust sample for Senior Scribe Sparks like two weeks ago.

  • (grinning) I’ll be damned. Looks like all your hard work is paying off, future Elder Williams.

  • (focused, strained) I can try, but we’ll be going in blind.

Julian is the radio transmissions operator for Lancer's team in the Brotherhood of Steel. He doesn't have a lot of lines, but still plays a significant role.

  • (rushed but speaking very clearly over the radio) This is Lancer Rodriguez of supply squad Karabela to unknown hostiles. Cease fire, we are a non-combative unit.
