DC: No Man's Land Saga
Project Overview
The SleepyCatFilms DC Universe No Man’s Land Saga is a large-scale multimedia fan project intent on telling character-driven stories in the DC universe. This is the opening salvo to our version of the DC mythos, and our initial productions seek to establish compelling characters, their storied origins, and where they stand in relation to each other and the universe at large. The No Man’s Land Saga will be broken into three phases of build up, with the fourth phase acting as the culmination of its varied tales. With our vast ambition to illuminate narratives from many corners of DC comics, we find ourselves in need of writers to help actualize this daunting vision. We at SleepyCatFilms have a robust team of writing leads who are nonetheless too few to carry the weight of several shows and films on their own, and we need more hands; people who can bring a vision into reality, who can offer constructive criticism, insight, and inspiration. Writers are expected to form a team, working with the supervision of a writing lead in order to flesh-out and script our plot outlines. Due to our coverage of varied characters and genres, we are structuring distinct writing “pods” as it were, splitting responsibilities so that each team may be accountable for one cohesive subsection of the DC fan universe.

The Cosmic Team will be responsible for narratives centering around our space-bound characters; Martian Manhunter, The Lanterns, Starfire, The New Gods and such. If you have an affinity for science fiction, this may very well be the team for you.

The Magic & Monsters Team will focus on some of the more fantastical characters and stories; Wonder Woman, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Justice League Dark, etc. Fantasy writers will likely feel at home with these stories.

For writers who have the will and ability to organize and maintain convoluted interdimensional and time-travel narratives–or those who simply like speedsters–the Time Team may be the place you are most comfortable. This team will be writing for characters such as The Flash, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, and the Legion of Superheroes.

If so, the Detective Team is taking the reins on Green Arrow, The Question, The Birds of Prey, and the characters of the Bat Family.
