ABOUT ME:
Hello everyone! My name is Tanner and I'm the director of the Minecraft Animation/Machinima/Roleplay series "Dark Times" at Dark Times Studio. I strive to create machinimas at the highest quality possible, whether it be visually or story wise, and I'm constantly trying to one-up myself from project to project. However, I couldn't do it without, among many things, talented voice actors. I'm looking here to cast the new (and some recasted) roles for Season 3!

AUDITION INFORMATION: (AUGUST 12th DEADLINE)
-Please audition for as many roles as you'd like!
-Please be 18 years or older, as this project is rated mature due to language
-Please have a high quality microphone with little-to-no background noise or fuzz
-Please list your discord @ in your audition description, or have it linked on your profile so I can find you
DARK TIMES VOICE ACTOR INFORMATION:
-Must use discord and be able to send files via discord, google drive, or email
-We will have script read-throughs, which are recommended, but not mandatory
-You have the option of being directed by me via voice call if you wish
-When scripts are sent out, we hope to receive lines within ~2 weeks of being sent out, but the sooner, the better
STORY SUMMARY:
Dark Times Season 3 (Duality) is our biggest and most ambitious season yet, spanning approximately 15 episodes that will take our characters to all sorts of new towns and empires within the world as they fight the ever-endangering world corruption that appeared after the annihilation in Season 2’s finale. While the corruption is a threat unlike anything before, it is not the only threat. Dark Times Duality will be an epic, emotional and fulfilling ending to the Dark Times series.

Valia is a wielder of the Void element in the world of Dark Times, called The Void Keih. She's very knowledgable, but a little on the awkward side. I'm looking for a deeper voice, but I'm open to any and all interpretations of her!

(displaying knowledge) The Matrix is a complicated device used primarily to store power. I'd recommend keeping away, because the closer you get, the more it sucks you in. Think of it as a smaller-scale representation of why when we jump, we're pulled back to the ground. Now imagine this, but horizontally, where you'll enter an endless void until you're crushed by your own weight.
(giving a strong opinion) It's in our best interest to NOT go through with this. We are but five people- what makes you think we should decide the fate of millions?
(distressed, having breakdown, talking to herself) No, no, no! I should've known not to put trust in a man that does nothing but backstab anything he can...
Aria is the wielder of the Air element in the world of Dark Times, called The Air Keih. She's the lone survivor of her generation of Keihs and has become cold and bitter over the years. Definitely looking for someone who can sound older and can do a wide range of emotions, but most importantly cold.

Vera is a pretty spoiler-heavy role, but can best be described as a motherly figure with a lot of charm in mystery. Looking for a bit of an older and motherly sounding voice for this one!

Cyril is the wielder of the Creation element in the world of Dark Times, called The Creation Keih. He's got a bit of an ego to go along with his greed, whether it be on a small scale or a world-ending scale.

Ernisius is the wielder of the Earth element in the world of Dark Times, called The Earth Keih. He's a bit on the shy side, but can be very assertive when he's passionate about what he wants.

(assertive, for a comedy moment) I have arrived, and you have 24 hours before I step back onto that pedestal and return to my duties. What are my duties you ask? Well... I like to read.
(panicking) Oh my god, oh my god, oh my Gistrief, oh my Gistrief! Wait, you're right there. Oh my Aria, oh my Aria!
Xu used to serve under the wielder of the Death element, Vance, before Vance was killed. He serves as the brute of his crew and seeks vengeance against Vance's killer. What he doesn't know, is that Vance's true killer is among his own crew.

He's a former pirate but now a school teacher, with a lot of charm and a bit of an attitude. Needs to be able to do a wide range of emotion, but most importantly, he needs to be able to do a Kronk voice from Emperor's New Groove.

(Normal voice, scared) Aye aye, Captain! Wait… I’m the Captain, damnit! Get up here before you’re one with the sea!
(Normal voice, very dark exposition) There is only one mountain known to have a split like that. They call it The Imperium- the most dangerous pilgrimage a pirate could ever attempt, and as such… none have succeeded.

(Warden) (Nervous escalating to serious) We do not have the resources to expel any more guards on operation. However, we have a lead on where they were taken. The outsider who helped them escape was left behind- quite the betrayal, actually.
(Guards) (Kindly) Your ship needs to be searched for any corruption. Please exit and wait on the dock. Thank you for your cooperation
(Civilians) (Kindly, very curious) Woah, your jacket... I've never seen anything like it. Do you mind if we trade?!
