Project Overview
Two people have been stranded on a gunboat after their fleet has been sunk. Amatus and Ceto have to find a way to try and survive. Ceto has fallen in love with Amatus, but Amatus' desires are unknown. As the plot progresses, and Ceto becomes severely dehydrated, she becomes sick of waiting for Amatus' intentions to become clear. She begins to hallucinate, and act in ways that a sane person wouldn't do. When Amatus reveals that he is gay, Ceto's mental state finally snaps.

Ceto is apart of the Intellend Navy. She has been serving for a few years (as military service is required). She and Amatus went through basic together and became friends. When they had the opportunity to visit home, they would often visit together. She quickly began to develop feelings for him. She and Amatus are able to make it to a gunboat before their ship sinks. Unfortunately, they run out of gas and are now dead in the water. Ceto is sane, but dehydration, and malnutrition lead her to insanity. She is definitely a character that is very unsure of herself, and would never do what she does if she were in her right mind.
We ran to a gunboat and attempted to shoot the person. But they were too fast. Too strong. The Garratus sank the second we left the ship’s bay. Then the screaming. The calls. Help! Help! We didn’t save anyone. I just… I just got on the wheel and drove. Drove as far away as I could. In the distance I heard explosions. And death. And screams. And gunfire. And cries. So many men, so many women. So many people. Just… Dead.
I know that some people may not like Amatus. He was never very popular at home. Lean, lanky, tall. But, to me, he’s lovable. Lean, lanky, and lovable. I’ve always found him at least mildly attractive. I don’t know how he feels about me though. I wish I did.
I've always loved you. Why can't you love me? No. You will love me. I'll make you. We're going to die on this boat. It's destiny. And it's destiny that you'll love me, too.
Amatus is apart of the Intellend Navy. He was raised in the city of Intellend. He is lean, lanky, and tall. He has a very submissive personality due to his environment he was brought up in. He's energetic, excitable, and fun to be around. Overall, he's the type of guy that's always in a good mood and can look on the bright side of life. Amatus is a character that happens to be gay, not a gay character. That means that the plot revolves around Amatus and Ceto, male and military rape, and what it takes to become insane (are we ever truly sane?)
No! It’s cool to be able to talk to fish! You can… Uh… Get people out of situations like these where you’re--- going to starve to death. Or die of heatstroke. Or dehydration.

I'm sorry, Ceto. I don't think... I just... I'm not about that kind of life. You know? I'm not... attracted to... you? Or... women? And... I know it's illegal in Intellend since it goes against population growth and contribution to society. They say we should have kids so we can support the war effort. But... I just... Can't help it. And I'm only telling you right now because we're probably going to die. So you can't tell anyone else, anyways.
