RUSH CALL!!! Dangerous Suspects (Audio Drama Podcast)
Project Overview
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A LIVE ACTION SERIES, ITS AN AUDIO DRAMA (VOICEOVER ONLY)
(SUBMIT ASAP!!!)
WE NEED REALISTIC VOICES FOR THIS, NOT CARTOON-Y OR OVER THE TOP. Think crime shows such as Chicago PD and Law and Order. Light editing to remove noise and imperfections is fine, but do NOT run your audio through a filter to sound robotic, or make it too radio-announcery. See this clip for a sample of what the show will sound like, plus a narrator: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmQ3a3iJulU
*DO NOT improvise. Please perform the lines provided, as written/
Complete the lines for the character you're interested in! You may submit via the audition page here, or send mp3's formatted as (your name)_(character name) to [redacted]

This character is a kidnap victim recovered by Detective Ramos from an abandoned building. She is showing him pictures of possible suspects and questioning him on whether he recognizes any of them. When he's afraid, she reassures him and she promises to keep him safe, to which he asks: "you promise?"
(curiously,pleading) You promise?
(looking at photo - certain, quietly) Yeah...
(staring at photo, quietly, with fear) Lobo
The tall, imposing, striking leader of the NYPD-SVU squad. Her stature and experience make her more than a match for the men around her, despite the ever present reminder and at times advantage of being underestimated in a male dominated career. She's blunt, exacting, intimidating. Fierce and fearless in her work.
He wouldn’t talk any other way. Detective Ramos did not coerce him, she stared that animal in the face and got what she needed to put him away. She walked out of that interview room without shoving his smug mug through the wall after he talked. She did her job. And now you’re going to do yours and get her, and all those other victims, justice. You’re gonna put that man in a deep dark hole that he can never crawl out of. Do you understand?
You're not dealing with this the way you need to be. (gives her a card) Department Psychologist. Talk to her. Rebecca, it’s not a request. I’ve already made the call.
It seems like alot of your unit is moving on. I’m sure find yourself at a crossroads, I wonder if you’ve considered whether you want to stay on the task force, or maybe you’ve thought about a change. Sex Crimes, it’s different. Not everyone is good at handling these kinds of cases, and not everyone can. The way you dealt with the victim. You have a knack for it. An empathy. Ramos, I want you on my team. Now I’ve already spoken to your Captain, so the choice is yours. Think about it.
Late 30's/early 40's. Supervisor of the FBI agents at the Bureau.
You all have unique strengths and qualities that make you an asset to this task force. We're counting on your experience and your efforts to collaborate with the FBI on these cases. You will report you your Captain with any leads and keep your Case Agent informed of all progress.
The snarky, domineering, no-nonsense leader of the NYPD Major Case unit. In this scene, she holds a kidnap victim in interrogation, pressuring Detective Ramos to question him more about what he knows.
So they boy’s given you a lead. We’d still like to hold him for further questioning.
With this information, not only have we confirmed the identities of those involved, there’s a good chance we can predict what their next hit is.
You don’t know that Detective, you doubted he could tell us anything about the house.
This character is a young girl kidnapped by her father. During a car chase, she begs her father to stop driving and is terrified at how fast they're going.
Daddy, I'm scared!
Daddy, please - stop! Stop!!
*(girl's voice,crying)*
You don't wanna do this. Because if Richard doesn't hear from me soon with the agreed upon phrase, you might as well kiss goodbye to that little girl.
Eli doesn't know squat! Richard's the one behind this whole thing. He screwed us then, he's screwing us now. We went in for the hijack, and he kept all the money. He betrayed us. Now he's setting us up again.
Listen, I don't know diddly. I had no idea Eli was gonna go after that girl. Not even after Richard, much less his kid. much less his kid. Cut me lose, I'll lead you to him. Please let me make this right.
A snooty, posh young art collector in her late 20's.
Have we met before? Perhaps at the gala, last Friday night?
Now I remember. The Academy.
No, Walton. Boarding school. We were in the same year.
Brent Forrester is a clean cut, well dressed, blue blooded, handsome FBI agent. Late 20's early 30's, in his first year with the Bureau.
Did you go to Harvard? I swear you look just like this girl I dated in college.
Who are you? Look at me! I'm gonna find out once I look in that sealed file, now tell me the truth, Rebecca, for once!
Line 1: (into a police radio) Affirmative. We're on the move///// Line 2: (shouts) FBI, stand down! (suspect freezes) Drop your weapon. (suspect places gun on the ground) Kick it away. (suspect obeys) On your knees.//
A hardened international career criminal/thief and suspect in an art heist and the murder of a gallery owner. He has a Russian/Eastern european accent.
I know nothing.
You would be better off questioning that brickwall, it might talk easier.
Unlucky for you, you catch me here. This is America. Your government says I have rights. I ask for lawyer. You will get me one.
A manipulative woman and black widow who smothers her lovers to death. Sexy and seductive. Sets her sights on Detective Villani as her next mark. All these lines are spoken to Detective Villani, and Detective Ramos when they are interrogating her.
(to Detective Vince Villani, seductively) Do you enjoy having so much power, Detective? Do you enjoy showing women your virility...taking over, dominating? You seem like the type. What I wouldn't give for...a taste.
(to Detective Rebecca Ramos) I'll only talk to your partner...(almost mockingly) the strong one.
(to Detective Rebecca Ramos, cool yet confrontingly) Do you know what your problem is? You're jealous. You're jealous because you want want I have. Surrender. You always need to be in control. Don't you ever just let go? Let yourself get swept up in ravishing enrapture. No, you wear the big girl pants. At least you're not trying to hard - that officer who arrested me was so butch. Tell me, Detective... do you always make love on top? // (seductively) You're not as tough as you look. I'll bet your bark is worse than your bite.
