Danganronpa S.O.S - Harold Scott (RECAST)
Project Overview
Danganronpa S.O.S. is an audio drama based on the Danganronpa franchise.
This audition is a recast for the role of Harold Scott, the Ultimate Composer!
Plot Summary: Aboard the S.S. Vorpal, a gargantuan cruise liner, sixteen Ultimate Students’ lives are thrown into chaos as their education in the Ultimate Talent Cultivation Plan is thrown into the chaos of a despair-filled killing game.
Expectations: Due to this being an audio drama, high audio quality and vocal performance is a must. Cast members are expected to have their own recording space and equipment that will produce clear and workable audio with minimal noise. All voice actors must be over 18.
Workload: Expected workload varies from Episode to Episode. In Episode 6, Harold has 7 lines.
Deadlines: Actors are expected to work to a deadline. The successful applicant for this role will be brought on partway through production of Episode 6, and will as such be working on a somewhat accelerated timeline

For all subsequent episodes, at least 3-4 weeks will be given for all recording, with the team extremely willing to offer leeway based on circumstances.

Ultimate Composer
Despite his hulking frame, Harold is a sensitive soul at heart. Polite to the point of being uptight, Harold is physically extremely strong, but mentally very weak, collapsing at the sight of blood and being unable to take a joke at his own expense. He remains a positive influence on others around him, often taking inspiration for his compositions from others around him. He has a knack for identifying the best traits in others, even ones they can’t see themselves.
Vocally, Harold needs to have a large, powerful voice but also a sense of restraint. He's naturally got a big voice, but he doesn't tend to use it that way, carefully picking his words and rarely speaking out of turn. His voice is also very deep. For his vibe, imagine Brian Blessed with all of the pomp and confidence removed, that's what I'd like from Harold. I must also insist on an upper class English accent, this is an essential aspect of the character I'd like to very much emphasize going forward.

(Describing Drew’s sermon. Passionate.) It’s… Entertaining isn’t the right word. Compelling. Inspiring, perhaps. I’m not a religious man myself but the passion within his oratory, it reminds me of... the blow of a good horn! …If that makes sense?
(Angry, blustering then weak and fainting.) Me? A murderer? How very dare you! I- O-oh, is that… Blood? Oh dear…
