Synopsis“The justice system of the world is at an all-time low. However, what remains of it still fights to pass judgement upon those who have trampled over the law. In an attempt to devise a new way of restoring order, sixteen former ‘Ultimate’ students are summoned as the jury for the trial of an infamous serial killer. Seen as the best of their craft, government officials believe that such individuals are the new way forward for determining who is guilty and who isn’t. Yet, this jury never reached their destination. They awaken in an unknown location and meet a mysterious woman known only as ‘Lady Justice’.
She passes her verdict. A Killing Game is set to commence.”
General InformationHello all! This is my first (fingers crossed) casting call for my idea of a new Danganronpa fan-series, Danganronpa: Law and Order. The general idea is mixing the core themes and elements of Danganronpa, combining them with very real issues in justice systems across the world, taking heavy inspiration from games like Ace Attorney as well.
At this current moment, this will not be a game, but instead a video series that will be fully voiced. I feel it's important to start off where you believe what will be achievable, but things can very much change down the line. This will also be unpaid, and I understand that may drive people away, but for now, this is what it will be, a passion project by fans of the series to bring a 'new perspective' to the Danganronpa series. If you do apply, please do make sure you understand this. It will most likely be a very long road.
This first casting call will be for staff as I feel it is important to establish them before any voice actors come on board, as well as to get a feel if this project will truly get off the ground. I'm certainly hopeful that many of you will join me in this journey. My current role in the project will be as director, lead writer and audio engineer. The roles listed below will be very generic to begin with, however if things progress along, they will be sorted into specific roles such as; sprite artist, splash artist, background artist, etc.
Currently, all Ultimate talents have been decided along with the general character tropes, the identity of the overseer and brief overview of the setting of the story. As per relating to the themes of the series, the protagonist holds the role of the Ultimate Prosecutor and aims to come to terms when the court becomes the difference between life or death for both himself and his fellow jurists.
Apart from that... we're working from a clean slate, with my initial general ideas all over the place. I hope you take the chance to apply if you really enjoy the initial idea!
