Danganronpa Larpebellum: FanCast
Project Overview
Project Overview
Danganronpa Larpebellum: FanCast is a fan series based on Danganronpa Antebellum: Lockdown. I have no association with the creators or team of DRANTE and simply want to make a fan series based on the same concept. This project is going to be an extremely short video series. There's only going to be the prologue, chapter 1 daily, and chapter 1 trial. The trial is planned to be fully voiced, and there will be some voice acting for important moments in daily life as well.

Brief Plot Summary
9 everyday people are put into an Ultimate-style killing game. Will they fold like the Ultimates before them, or will our 9 untalented criminals escape the game before it's too late?
The protagonist!
Marley is a young college student currently attending university in New York City. Marley tends to be pretty smug and doesn't have any reservations about calling someone stupid in the cattiest way possible. They have a hard time accepting that, maybe, they still have personal problems they need to solve. Marley isn't hesitant to do hard work, they just think they're above it.
Voice Notes:
Any range Gender Neutral voice. They sound a little raspy. Their tone can easily flip between sarcastic and serious. Tends to add a bit of emphasis to deliver their points with more drama.
- nonbinary
- androgynous
“Well, I’m Marley, and I’m a college student. I don’t have a job besides that, the market is shit anyway. I mean, have you worked in service? It, like, kills a little part of you every day. I would rather work in the mines, at least in the mines you don’t have people asking for the bathroom key every hour.” (Annoyed)
“We’re in New York fucking City, you should be getting real acting experience. Not just sitting in some lame classrooms. (Pause) I’m just saying, you and I are way too good for wasting our youth in college where they don’t teach us anything.” (Frustrated)
“Firstly, I’m not a girl. Secondly, I’m not into crusty dudes, especially ones with hygiene low on their priority list.” (Disgusted/Catty)
Bernadette, sometimes known as Bee, is very headstrong. She believes any problem in the world can be solved through "hard work," no matter how big the obstacle may be. She has a need to control the room at all times, even when she doesn't have all the information. If presented with push back, Bee isn't afraid of confrontation. Bernadette is a fixer, and this extends to people as well. She's known to get a little too involved in others' lives.
Voice Notes:
Medium to Low Female Voice. Talks mostly in a calm tone with a hint of annoyance. Can easily get aggravated and deliver points with more edge than she needs to.
- female young adult
- female adult
“I’m Bernadette. I hate nicknames, so don’t use them. I’m a landlord.” (Curt)
“We can put it to a vote, if you’d like. What about it, Maury? Ready to put your stellar people skills to the test?” (Teasing)
“So, is that what you expect us to do, Maury? To just sit here? (Pause) Okay, while you’re sitting here having a breakdown, do you know what someone else is thinking? Their thinking of a murder plan. Do you want to be included in that plan? Do you want to be poisoned in your sleep?” (Extremely Serious/Pragmatic)
Clark would really like to be perceived as someone who is brave and strong. (That's one of the reasons why he became a police officer.) In reality, he has a very hard time asserting himself. He can't really take it when people don't like him and will usually bend if presented with any arguments. He has a slight discomfort when it comes to feminine men, but he's too scared to actually express any of that.
Voice Notes:
Medium to Low Male Voice. He always sounds a little unsure but tries to suppress it with fake bravado. Is prone to whispering to himself.
- male adult
- male young adult
“I’m Clark, I’m an officer, but (Pause) The lady isn’t wrong, I do lack a lot of experience. I hope to help everyone here. Even if I don’t know exactly what I’m doing sometimes, I’m still trying to protect who I can.” (Friendly)
“You made so many jumps. I promise I’m not lying. You just have to trust my word.” (Panicked) “God, I’m awful at negotiating.” (Mumbling)
“I wasn’t that hurt. I’m doing just fine. It’d be great if we could just forget that the last part of that didn’t happen. That’d be good. So, don’t mind me. Ahaha” (Embarrassed)
(Ah - Vil - Asia)
A very kind girl who will always try to spin things positively. Avilasa is known throughout her community as very friendly, and she's eager to extend a helping hand. She has a weak spot for shy people and will especially try to help them get out of their shells. She can speak very childishly and has a hard time knowing when to actually take things seriously. She truly wants the best for everyone, even strangers.
Voice Notes:
High to Medium Female Voice. Very peppy and cheesy voice. Often uses made up words with complete confidence. Even when she’s nervous, she doesn't stutter or show fear.
- female teen
- female young adult
- female adult
“Right! My name is Avilasa, but my friends call me Avi. I hope to be a future buddy or at least a friendly face to see! I’m sure we can get out of this if we just work together! (Pause) Correcta-mundo! There’s a group of four of us in this cafeteria-looking place! It’s a little shabby, but that seems like the theme of this place.” (Happy)
“Come on guys! Let’s get that mood up! Everyone starts saying you’re favorite color! I’ll go first, I love yellow. It's the same colors as big tall sunflowers, or the happy shining sun!” (Cheery)
“So, get off of him and leave us alone. Time will show you that you wasted your time trying to hurt us. People are kind. I believe in that. No one will turn to murder.” (Determined)
A very bitter man. Michael is always looking for a fight, and very much revels when he can entice a response. If he can get you to yell at him or make you uncomfortable, then he thinks he's won. As you could imagine, he doesn't have very many friends. Michael's biggest insecurities are anything related to "strength." One of his proudest achievements is the long list of local bars he's been banned from.
Voice Notes:
Medium Male Voice. Very confident and sleazy sounding voice. Most of the time he sounds like he’s setting up a joke. When agitated, sounding more bitter and grossed out.
- male adult
- male young adult
“My name’s Michael, nice to meet you. (Pause) Smart choice. I haven’t washed my hands in a looong time.” (Sleazy)
“Are we sure she wasn’t doing that herself? Listen, she’s the one acting all dumb and vulnerable. That’s basically inviting the world to abuse it. You’re just mad that you couldn’t put her down first.” (Annoyed)
“Wowww, fine. You just learned that these are probably the last few days, more likely hours, of your lives! And you guys plan to sit that shit out in silence? How fucking weak!” (Surprised)
(Mer - oh - puh)
A girl who behaves almost exactly the opposite way you'd expect for someone her age. Merope always thinks before she opens her mouth. Every word she says and action she does she's thought a lot about before acting on it. Merope wants to be intimidating and above any situation she's been put into. She strongly believes that she's the smartest in any given room she's in. If you'd ask her what she likes doing for fun, she'd genuinely not have an answer.
Voice Notes:
Medium to Low Female Voice. A very calm and collected voice. Doesn’t have a lot of intonation and delivers her points bluntly. Almost sounds like she’s making her voice deeper on purpose.
- female young adult
- female teen
“Merope. (Pause) And Marley… The name kind of sounds like what you’d name a little dog.” (Teasing)
“You expect me to be impressed with you holding a piece of trash. There’s kitchen knives over there. However dull they might be, they will serve better protection than what you’re doing. Plus with how shaky you’re holding it, I’m concerned you might cut yourself on it’s edges.” (Annoyed/Explaining)
“What? Your logic hardly makes any sense. If you are truly concerned about possible murder methods, then why aren’t you locking up the kitchen knives as well? What about the chairs near the bedrooms? A broken table leg could be used as a stake. Hell, even the chair itself could be used to bludgeon someone. If this is truly about our health and safety, then there’s a lot more to lock up than just some cough syrup.” (Suspicious)
(EE - nah)
Ina apologizes before entering any room. If she could shrink herself into something smaller, less noticeable, then she would take that chance almost immediately. The saddest thing about Ina is that in her attempts to soothe people around her, they usually just end up annoyed by her repeated "sorrys." She becomes strongly attached to people very quickly and has a habit of moving her life around anyone who would consider her a friend. She misses her old best friend the most.
Voice Notes:
High Female Voice. She usually stutters and is obviously anxious. She speaks very quickly when confronted or judged. When emotionally overwhelmed, she tends to cry while explaining her point.
- female teen
- female young adult
“Sorry! I should probably go now… I’m not that interesting and… Should I start with my name? Right? I’m Ina Hagen… I don’t go to school or have a job right now… I’m sorry. I know it’s gross, and I promise I’m not a slacker! It’s just hard… I know I shouldn't make excuses…” (Embarrassed)
“I was scared that something bad happened to you, so I wanted to go outside to see if I could get help but (Pause) Then I thought if you woke up alone you’d be scared, and I really didn’t want you to be mad at me for leaving, so I sort of stood next to the door. Watching you sleep (Pause) Sorry, I’m rambling! I should really think about what I say before I say it… I’m just glad you’re okay!” (Explaining/Semi-Anxious)
“I can change; I’ve been needing to. I just don’t know how, but I can teach myself. I can teach myself to be whatever you want. I can try to be funny like you, or like Merope, or like your art school friends. I can teach myself to draw. I’m awful at it now, but if you want me to, I’m sure I can try. Please, Marley, I know I’m disgusting, annoying, selfish, and the worst, but please…” (Pleading/Crying)
Maury's main trait is being insecure, and he dedicates a lot of his life to acknowledging this feeling. Maury enters rooms thinking people have a problem with him, and he's not afraid to confront this imaginary conflict. He can't accept help easily either, because he doesn't want someone pitying him. He smokes about a pack of cigarettes a day to "help" with his anxiety, but it doesn't actually soothe anything. If you showed him genuine kindness, he'd probably think you're trying to trick him.
Voice Notes:
High Male Voice. Very dramatic and tends to add a lot of emphasis when speaking. Very insecure and flips between being sarcastic, scared, and genuinely angry within the same sentence. Yells frequently.
- male adult
- male young adult
“I’m Maury, I’m… unemployed — but that doesn’t make me any less than any of you! Just because you have CoLlEgE doesn’t make you special. Some of us don’t have daddy's money to waste! Some of us have real fucking lives! So how about you shut up about whatever you were about to say about me! Cause I know you're going to say something. (People always do.) (Whispered) So just don’t say shit!” (Annoyed)
“HA HA HA! You’re sooo funny! You should be a stand-up comedian, Bee! Because you’re just sooo great!” (Sarcastic)
“Wait just a second! Do you hear yourself? Do any of you hear anything anyone is saying??? Killing game? Class trials? You’re all talking like psychos!” (Scared)
Ernest is a socially confused young man. He spends a lot of time thinking about what "normal" people do and doesn't spend equal time actually interacting with others. He can come across as very cold, and sometimes a little unnerving. But, under the spooky exterior, he wants to be kind to other people. His goal in life is to become a "good person," whatever that means to Ernest.
Voice Notes:
High to Medium Male Voice. Very calm and almost robotic sounding voice. Doesn’t show a lot of emotion besides confusion.
- male adult
- male young adult
“I’m Ernest. (Pause) Hello… I realize I should've spoken up earlier… It’s just that I forgot that I should speak up in situations like that.” (Explaining)
“I suppose that would mean we should investigate together, no? Or… am I missing another thing? (Pause) Well, if everyone else is exploring, then I guess that’s what I’ll do too. Though I am curious about this cheaply printed paper. Hm… I dislike deciding things like this.” (Confused)
“You’re really positive. If the situation is as the lady described, isn’t that not the appropriate response? You should be panicking, no?” (Suspicious)
