Project Overview
Welcome to Hotel Despair! We hope you enjoy your stay!
Danganronpa: Hotel Despair or DR: HD is a fan project run by the Discord users CookieOmega, SallyNeko, ReverseArcana, TiredSol, Sunny Dee N00b, and Honey also known as Hotel Despair Productions. This project builds on the Danganronpa series while showing a whole new spin on some of the main themes of it while introducing a whole new cast of characters.
Currently, we are at the start of the project but we have a lot of scripting in the works. Not all the art is completed but it is on the way. We are also hoping to get some others on board to join the production team so if you are also interested in that let us know. This will take a little while but we hope to have this all completed soon. ^^
The minimum age for auditioning is 16

Sheimi is the ultimate party planner and is the main protagonist of this project. She is very quiet and timid, and though she is heavily introverted, she is very easy-going in nature. For this role, you will have to do a lot of emoting and you will have to be very adaptable to many situations.
"Guess I should start with formalities huh. Shi-e-mi... Na-ka-ji-ma....It's better for me to sound it out makes it easier I guess I should really mention my talent just in case well it's Ultimate Party Organizer, trust me it's not as fun as you would think...my apologies I'm not really good at this."
"That's not it!"

"Is this it, is this truly it. The end..."
Akuma is the ultimate Manga artist who has an affinity for the dirtier side of the industry. Akuma is rather flirtatious and can be a bit indecent at times but is still very supportive of others. This character requires a lot of emotion.
“Hm? My name? I’m Akuma Yokobu, the Ultimate Manga Artist! I draw an abundance of different things, but I prefer things risqué with my art if you understand~. How about you darling?”
"Do you want to be my newest reference?"
"I thought this was the laundry shoot!"
Oryan is the ultimate lawyer and is an extremely serious person who seems to never have enough time for anything. She is a very motherly and caring person but is always overworked and stressed, always busy and always working. Emotion is very important as she can be very intense.
“Oh hello there, sorry I did not notice your presence. A strange situation we seem to have found ourselves in isn't it? I have a hearing later today. I don't have time to be stuck here…”
“Hearing? Yes, I am the Ultimate Lawyer. My name is Oryan Drakin, you may or may not have heard of me and I am not sure if knowing of me is a good thing or not.”
"Objection!"
"Calm down and you don't use the lord's name in vain!"
"Oh, you mean my son? Yes, he is everything to me. He is only six right now be he is already so smart and is one of the best in his class. I am so so so so soooo proud of my little Adrien."
Saiya is the ultimate taxidermist and if for one extremely sarcastic and outright rude at times. He doesn't care too much for the others and spends his time tampering with trials and roasting most of the people within the game.
“Hm? Ah well, I have no clue how long we'll be here might as well, my name is Saiya Wakaba, the Ultimate Taxidermist. Are my talents different for sure but that's beside the point, and you are?”
"Hey, you, shut the fuck up. Like deadass actually shut your fat ass mouth."
"Jesus Christ if you die I hope you get buried with a bag of popsicles and a table fan, cause it's hot where you're going."
" You know, there are times where I wake up and think, do I wanna be that guy today? And every single time that answer is YES, ABSOLUTELY, FUCK YOU."
Ayato is an ultimate assassin and is a calm and chill individual. He is not looking for a fight, however, he does have a more serious and harsh side to him. An outgoing individual who loves to party and go with the flow. Though he is very composed when he talks to people.
"Introductions, yeah I've already made mine before we do that have we met? your aura seems familiar, more than everyone else here, anyway my name is Ayato Nakajima, nice to meet you and my talent well...that's confidential."
"Hey I noticed you looking at me, you got something to say? out with it" smiles
"Are you trying to get yourself killed."
"I won't hesitate to kill you"
"No need to worry if you need help come to me"
Glaciers is the ultimate indie music creator and is the big brother of the group. He is extremely friendly and is very smooth with his speech. He has a good grasp on how to handle a lot of situations and tries to keep a grip on his musical career.
“You really don’t know who I am? Do you live under a rock or something? Never mind that though right now. My name is Glaciers, the Ultimate Indie Music creator. A pleasure to meet you.”
"If this is everyone lets get this new girl updated."
"Seriously, there is no way that is right."
"Hey don't worry, everything is going to work out all right? Don't stress yourself out so much I'm going to make sure it's all good."
Hibiki is a very calm sounding character as the Ultimate Butler. He tends to always ask a random set amount of money to do anything you want him to do and sounds very monotone about it. He is very stoic and mature, Even though he tends to say mean things. He tries to keep his composure a lot but when it is broken he can sound very venomous.
“Sure I have nothing else to do. Since I can guess you want to know my name, I’m Hibiki Tsukareta. I’m the Ultimate Butler. I do anything you want, however, I hope you’re ready to pay up for it... Now, what the hell is your name?”
"If I wanted to hear you all stumble on your words, I would have paid to do so!"
"Shut up and listen!"
"Anyways, that's how I got paid 2500 Yen to do a spilt, worst pain I ever felt but 2500 yen is 2500 Yen."
Niko is the Ulitmate Sword Swallower and she's relatively impatient. Niko is soft-spoken and can occasionally be lazy (on top of her violent tendencies). She'll speak her mind and at the same time mentally stop.
Example: "Niko do you know when the Mona Lisa was painted?"
"Yeah 1503"
"Okay, who painted it?"
"The hell if I'd know, Barack Obama right"?
“Oh, time for introductions? My name is Niko Nodachi, the Ultimate Sword Swallower and you?”
"Wait, hold on a minute, y-you're serious, no bullshit?"
"Ah I'm tired what the hell even is this, we're getting nowhere like this."
"I eat swords for a job and a hobby, and even I know words should never be used to cut that deep. That's terrible, you're terrible."
Kokaha is the Ultimate Herbalist and is one of the calmest people in the group. He's a caring person who comes off as unintentionally flirty. Despite his nonchalant demeanour, he is very serious when it comes to certain situations.
"I don't think we've met. I'm Kokaha Kinmokuseo, the Ultimate Herbalist. A pleasure to make your acquaintance."
"I wonder if there are any plants around? It would be interesting to see what I could make with what I find."
"I see a flaw in your statement!"
"Pardon me, but we seem to have a problem here."
Sako is the Ultimate Plush collector and the child of the group. He cares about others and is initially shy around others and tends to get easily startled by the smallest of things. He also carries around a white bear by the name of Mr. Snuggles, who he is rarely seen without. He has the mentality of a five-year-old.
"Huh? I don't think I've ever seen you. What's your name? It's nice to meet you, I'm Sako Robun, the Ultimate Plush Collector!"
"Mr. Snuggles says that you have a potty mouth!"
"Mr. Snuggles says you're wrong!"
"No, that can't be true!"
"Hey miss, is there something wrong? Is there anything Mr. Snuggles and I can do to help?"
Kanrei is the Ultimate Graffiti Artist and comes off as very emotional, normally being very energetic and intense. She ends up yelling a lot and getting too hyper. She ends up coming off as impulsive and she is in simple terms, an idiot. She gets very defensive if called out on her poor grammar and lack of intelligence.
“Ugh... you’re right, there’s no use in getting angry right now. As for introductions, I’m Kanrei Yorugaku, Just call me Kara. I’m the Ultimate Graffiti Artist. There, now you are you?”
"Can it Slipknot!"
"Look, I don't know how, But we are gonna get out of here. When we do, I'll make you a painting of whatever you want!"
"WHO'S CHILD IS THIS?"
"YOU AIN'T HAVING MY JACKET!"
"HELL FRICKIN' NO! THAT'S BULLSHIT!"
Akari is the Ultimate Pyrotechnic and is a very happy go lucky, confident and goofy. Extremely impulsive and runs on her gut most of the time. She is extremely friendly and hyper as she makes it a point to try to get along with everyone.
“Oh, you want my name huh? I can ask the same for you small fry! They call me Akari Katayama, the Ultimate Pyrotechnic! Awesome to meet you!”
“Exactly! I work with fireworks, fire in tv shows and a bunch of other things! Don’t get it confused with a pyromaniac though!”
"Yeah, no way!"
"No, I totally agree with that!"
"Hell yeah, we are on fire!"
"Afternoon bitches! It's snack time!"
"Aw come on guys this can't be that bad right?"
"I'm sure it's fine and good. We are fine! Nothing bad will happen! there is most likely if not definitely a logical explanation for this. We will be fine!!!"
Keiko is the Ultimate Clown and mostly positive. She tries to make everyone happy by any means necessary, like making balloon animals as the prime example. She is almost always seen with a smile on her face and does her best to be kind to everyone she talks to, no matter how cruel they may be. She also tries to "look on the bright side" of every scenario.
"Oh, right. I'm Keiko Nishimaru, and I'm the Ultimate Clown. It's nice to meet you!"
"Let's do our best to get out of here! We have to stay determined!"
"Sorry, but you're wrong!"
"No, that can't be right!"
"Honk honk! Heehee, did I scare you by any chance? Want me to make you something? What's your favourite animal?"
Alaska is the ultimate ???? She is moody, serious, sassy, and often finds it hard to open up to others. In most stressing situations, Alaska keeps her cool, unless someone obviously innocent is being provoked by another. She believes in justice, however, that doesn't stop her from having her own morbid, twisted thoughts/moments.
“Well, I’m Alaska... I don't know what my talent is, actually. I know I have one, I just seemed to forget what it was.. I’m sure it’ll come back to me soon.”
“Hey! Don't just come up to people like that, you can give them a heart attack!!”
Aijin is the ultimate actress, who can take part in any role given to her. She is two-faced, dramatic, clingy, and falls in love easily, due to being a hopeless romantic and a sucker for romantic stories. She will always seem nice at first, but she does things for her personal gain. A real "spoiled diva amongst the common folk."
“Shiemi, huh..? Pretty name! My name is Aijin Hamada, the ultimate actor/actress! What’s your talent?”
"Then please for the rest of the cast. Show us an example of what to do when we have no idea how we got here."
“The ultimate party planner, huh..? That sounds cute! Aaaanywho, you should definitely gain a bit more confidence. You’re a babe, own it!” Aijin: “I'm gonna talk to the others, but I’ll see you later, bye~”
MonoNezu is just what he is stated to be. He is a rat. He is sarcastic, patronizing, and taunts the players like no tomorrow. He takes great joy in the game and can get bored really easily. He tends to speak to the characters a lot claiming to be 'bored' and this normally leads to either someone crying or something really stupid and funny happening. But he is still just as sadistic and murder crazed and is never seen happier than when there is a dead body to be found. *PLEASE DO NOT DO A MARIO-ESQUE ACCENT, HE IS PESSIMISTIC.*

Dustin is very hostile, nearly acting like a wild animal at times. He isn't around for much but when he is he can be a little explicit so keep that in mind.
"Look! Stop calling me stupid! I can actually think you guys."
"You have five seconds before I kick your ass! Count the seconds."
"Yo um. I've been meaning to tell you something- AHHH! Shit sorry I just hit that bone in my foot that kind of pops out! AHHH!"
We are desperately looking for anyone who can do sprite art in the Danganronpa art style. Please let us know if you are interested but having some art background would be appreciated.
