What even is Danganronpa: Fandom's Calling?
Danganronpa: Fandom's Calling is fan game made with RPG Maker MV currently in production. So far, the prologue has been released. This is a fan game of the Danganronpa series, but it has no affiliation to the official games and/or timeline.

In a universe similar to ours, Danganronpa (The video game series by Spike Chunsoft) has a huge impact on the Japanese gaming fan base. So much so, that a hardcore fan of the games decided to open a real-life Hope's Peak Academy. This person funded an elite school, where only 'Ultimates' - Students with exceptional talents and abilities -  would be recruited. Basing everything off of the game, even up to the architecture of the building. It seems unreal, but a replica of the despair full Hope's Peak was finally real. However, the founder of this school has ulterior motives. Why? Are they a disciple of Junko? Or are they so invested in the game that they take it too far? Just as 16 Ultimate Students (all fans of Danganronpa, of course) enter the Material Hope's Peak, they realize they have made an unfortunate mistake stepping foot into the establishment. A mechanical bear comes out of nowhere. To most people, this would be confusing. But if you know Danganronpa, it isn't just any bear...


"I mean... What did they expect? Idiots. You can't just expect an Academy based off a murderous school- No, a spiraling pit of despair filled school to not have consequences."


What do you plan to add gameplay-wise?
There are going to be FTEs, Investigations, and Class Trials. With daily and deadly life segments.


(VA) What kind of lines/how many lines should I expect?

Important cutscenes and class trials will be fully voiced. Daily life and investigation segments will only be partially voiced, similar to the original games.


(Artist) What kind of work will I be getting?

Since I (Zel) am the lead artist, I will be doing the majority of the artwork so that any helpers don't get overwhelmed. I am currently looking for line and sketch artists for the CG/Splash art style. I will be taking care of coloring. Therefore, I won't be expecting any crazy amount of work from an artist, since I know we all have lives and this project is unpaid.


VA Requirements

- Good quality. This is the MOST important factor. This includes no background noise, no plosives, and minimal echo. I want this to sound as good as possible since this is going to be an actual re-playable game. Therefore, please keep your quality consistent.


- Acting ability. I feel this goes without saying, but I would much rather prefer if you had some VA experience under your belt. This way, emotions are portrayed across clearly. I will be looking at your CCC profiles to see if you have any past experience. 


- Maturity. If we are going to be working together, I would like you to be mature about it. Now, maturity doesn't always match up with age, but chances are the older you are the more mature you are. If you think you get upset over little things or like to create drama, this project is not for you. This project will contain some mature language and violence. If you are not comfortable then I would advise you not to audition.


- Please have an understanding of the original Danganronpa series. Since this story is very 'meta' I would appreciate you being able to understand what these characters are talking about.


Artist Requirements

- Be able to re-create the Danganronpa style. Since I will be doing the coloring/shading, it isn't necessary for you to perfectly re-create the splash art style specifically. All I am looking for is clean line art and/or understandable sketches (so we can tell where everything goes).


- Some free time. I would prefer if you had free time and didn't overload yourself because that is not healthy! Even if you really want to help out but don't think you have the time, it's okay! You can still help the project by sharing the game.


- Have an understanding of the original Danganronpa series.

 Bio

Kiyoshi seems very strange. He loves cats a lot. So much so, he believes he is one. He dresses up as one, at least. He loves cat attire. He implied once, that he has 14 cats at his own home and that his room is filled with cat decorations.

No one really questions him though, as he's been like that for as long as anyone else can remember. He also seems to have an obsession for "anime catgirls” or “nekos” - ends sentences with “nyan nyan”, “meow~” or “purrr”

 He likes being pet for some unknown reason and favors intimate contact. He is never really phased by murder, strangely enough. What is he hiding under that suit and ears?


 Voice

Kiyoshi has an androgynous sounding voice. He is full of energy but should be able to pull off a 'cute' voice. He often makes somewhat accurate cat noises. His voice is very 'UwU'. I suggest listening to the original voice actor as a reference.
