Project Overview
Danganronpa But It's Written By Someone Who Hasn't Played Danganronpa is exactly what it says in the title. A comedic rewriting of the first Danganronpa game by two writers. A main writer who knows vaguely how Danganronpa goes, and a co-writer who knows slightly less vaguely how Danganronpa goes. This series WAS a shorter project we are working on while we chip away at our longer and more time-consuming projects, but then this became the longer project, so uh... whoops. Either way, the vibes are gonna be very casual and relaxed. If you make the cut, you get to join our super cool Discord server with a Jacuzzi and stuff.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, one of the voice actors has stepped down for an indeterminate amount of time, so we need a replacement/understudy. At the moment, we are working on our fourth episode, which you'll be asked to record lines for on recruitment, but like... You'll get time to do 'em, we're not monsters. Afterwards, you'll be given 20-or-so-page scripts at the rate of two (or so) scripts a year.
"Hey, didn't you post this already?"- yeah WE KNOW! The old VA came back for a bit and then left again, but we couldn't re-open the old casting call. If you already auditioned for that one, you don't need to audition again; you're still in contention for the role... unless you REALLY wanna audition again. Then go for it. We aren't your dads.

On the surface, Sayaka is a pretty pop idol with grace and poise. Not very far beneath the surface, she's a pretty pop idol who's a catty jerk. Often seen with Junko, she spends most of her time at Hope's Peak failing to refrain from saying the first rude remark that pops into her head. Despite this, her voice is (usually) soft & high, and her tone is (usually) deceptively grounded.

[Harshly Critical] Your band is gonna crash and burn because you can’t sing and you have no rhythm. You can tell a lot about someone from a little bit of singing. Besides, your brand has no appeal. Like, which one of you is supposed to be the hot one?
[Distraught] Great! I already deal with crazed fans trying to murder me, now the people trying to murder me aren't even fans!
[Polite] Is this supposed to be a library? Junko said she saw a music theory textbook in here, so I just came to pick it up.
