Danganronpa: Aislinn's Garden (Comic)
Project Overview
Hello! Welcome!! This is the first big project I've done with a large group of people, and I'm super excited about sharing it with all of you! This is something I've been working very hard on, and I think it's going to come out great with your help. ^^
Danganronpa: Aislinn's Garden is a comic about the journey of two twins, Tsukiko and Yukiko, trying to push through their differences and work together to save their fellow classmates when they all get trapped in a castle. As stated by Aislinn, a mysterious voice belonging to someone no one has seen, the only way to get out of the castle is to murder another classmate and get away with it, deceiving everyone in a 'Class Trial.' However, their once loving and inseparable bond is put to the test as their friends and classmates are murdered one by one. Will they save everyone, or will this be the end for both their friendship...and their lives?
Here's some info!:
-Our main source of communication will be through Discord! (Here's the Discord server, you can join whether you're chosen or not!: https://discord.gg/pTywRRJWHj)
-If you are chosen as a comic artist, be aware that you'll be working closely with other people! If you'd rather work by yourself (and do the whole comic instead of just the sketch, the characters, or the backgrounds) then make sure to audition for the 'comic artist: all roles' role!
-Also, if you're chosen as a comic artist, be aware that you'll be following the written script! However, you have full creative freedom on how the scenes are drawn, and are allowed to make any changes you need.

Personality:
Iamu is curious, independent, and determined. He has his head in the clouds sometimes, and loves thinking about crazy ideas, which is helpful in trials when the students need to think 'out of the box.' His quiet and observant personality makes it easy for him to pick up on things that are done and said, and he is eager to share these things in trials to help everyone.

Personality:
Hotaru is passionate, artistic, and has a love for music. While he may seem closed off at first due to his independence, Hotaru is caring, empathetic, and overall a great friend. He doesn't like participating in the trials very much due to his fluctuating self-esteem, worried about being called out for accidentally misspeaking or getting something wrong, but if he truly feels a certain way or knows something is right, he is extremely competitive and will use as much evidence as possible to prove his point.

Personality:
Hanzo is a very shy person, who only speaks when he feels he is expected to. It's hard for him to stay focused during conversations, since he's used to focusing all his energy and attention into one thing. This causes him to constantly need to ask "what did you say?" or ask for a question to be repeated, and while that may be annoying to a few of his classmates, he still tries his best during trials to answer their questions and help out. Overall, Hanzo is very supportive, loyal, and reliable to his friends, and always puts others first.

The track is aloud to have lyrics, though it's not needed! It only needs to be a 30second-1minute instrumental that would be fitting for the execution scenes.

-Have decent drawing skills (it's a sketch, it doesn't need to be great!)
-Be able to follow a script, while making necessary changes
-Be flexible! The background artist or character artist may disagree with you on a panel or two.

-Have good skill in drawing backgrounds
-Be able to keep backgrounds of rooms consistent across panels/pages
-Be flexible! The sketch artist may come up with something you don't like. Feel free to tell them that and compromise with them, but don't be rude.

-Have good skill in drawing characters, facial expressions, and formatting "dialogue boxes."
-Be able to keep character designs consistent across panels/pages
-Be flexible! The sketch artist may come up with something you don't like. Feel free to tell them that and compromise with them, but don't be rude.
Note: Any art style is welcome! Whether it's anime, cartoon, or any other, it would be great! Since I'm unable to provide payment (except through Deviantart points) feel free to do whatever is easiest for you!

This is an extra role in case someone would like to draw the whole comic themself, instead of splitting it up into a sketch artist, background artist, and character artist.
Only apply for this role if you feel you are able to handle all parts of the comic! Including but not limited to: sketching, lineart, shading, backgrounds, formatting, and any needed scene changes.
Characteristics for this role:
-Good understanding of how to format and pace comic panels.
-Be comfortable with letting me know if you feel a certain scene in the script wouldn't work for the comic, along with offering suggestions on how to make it easier/better for you!
-Be able to be consistent with both backgrounds and character designs.
-Be able to stay motivated! Switching artists half way through will be really hard to do.
-Have artistic skills, and be able to accurately portray emotion through character expressions, color usage, and etc!
