Project Overview

What is this?

As stated from the title, we’re a fan dub of the Roblox hit game—Dandy’s World!

For those of you unfamiliar with the game, Dandy’s World is a multiplayer mascot horror game. While the game does not include jump scares, it does contain some disturbing material. Players complete tasks such as completing machines and filling them up with a mysterious substance called Ichor. However, they’re monsters roaming around each floor named Twisteds, who are corrupt versions of the Toons/Characters, that will chase and attack you once spotted. Once you finish extracting all machines, an elevator will open and take you to the next floor and you’ll have to repeat the cycle all over again as the number of machines and twisteds increase.

This particular project will be giving life to these characters by voicing canon interactions to improv-based conversations for videos.

You heard it, our main focus for this project is improv by having interactions with other characters, specifically while playing Dandy’s World and making them as entertaining as possible.

My goal for this dub is to get it launched onto YouTube so others can see our content.

Requirements

  • Please ensure that your microphone is able to record your performance without picking up a lot background noises or peaking/clipping.

  • Must be 16+

  • Being respectful and thoughtful of other VAs.

  • Must have the Discord app since that is our primary source of communication.

  • Have fun! This isn’t a paid project but I want everyone to enjoy themselves dubbing these silly goobers.

Notes

I don’t have set voice expectations for these characters, so feel free to interpret them however you’d like! All toons (except Toodles) are adults, so keep that in mind while developing these voices.

    Hello everyone,

    Thank you all for your submissions this month. I truly enjoyed listening to each of your performances for these characters.

She is a straightforward Toon who sometimes acts arrogant and shows off her superiority. She is logical and wants the best for the toons, though she is very blunt about it. She doesn’t express much emotion other than being unamused for the most part, yet showing confidence.


Vee is an old-fashioned TV. I’d really appreciate if you’d record separate voice lines with one having a robotic filter to it (make sure your lines are audible with the effect on) and one without it.

Being conjoined twins, Razzle and Dazzle both have extremely different personalities, which are represented on their respective Theatre masks.

Razzle is a rather optimistic, excitable, and friendly Toon. Razzle is always eager to spend time with the others, as well as enjoying the spotlight.

Dazzle, however, is a rather gloomy, pessimistic Toon. He has a rather negative outlook and a slightly depressive personality, dismissing positive comments about him.

However, despite being so different, neither twin fights, since they’re open and accepting of each other despite being complete clear opposites.


While voicing RnD please do keep in mind to use two different tones of voice for these characters since they have separate personalities.
