Cryptic | Original Voice Acted Gacha Club Series
Project Overview
IMPORTANT TO READ:
For almost a year now me and my friend have been writing a gacha series derived of 8 episodes, containing 20 minutes or more per episode. With lots of effort being put into it, I’m pleased to announce that its finally able to start casting voice actors!
Hello, I am Kat, mostly known as miz_studio, and I am looking for voice actors for Cryptic. In this description, i'll be going through what Cryptic is, what it's about and the rules and regulations.
So, what is Cryptic? Well, as I said before, Cryptic is a Gacha series made up of 2 seasons with 16 episodes in total (When we end up finishing season 1 with all the videos posted onto the channel I want to give my voice actors a break before voicing anything from the next following season. So don't get that twisted, you will be given time). It’s not like as soon as you send your lines in you’ll suddenly be met with another script flying straight at you. Every actor will be given 3 to 4 weeks time to complete them and by the time I edit all the scenes one by one and somehow successfully save it to my photos, then you’ll have time to do other things.
Each episode comes from the perspective of an important character from the cast and takes a tow on their personality and agency in the series. The genre for Cyptic drives off as a horror slash murder mystery made up of 8 episodes, each being paced to 20 or more minutes of screen time. The story follows a boy named James, who starts to experience paranormal activity after discovering missing posters plastered all over Ravenhill, his school. In desperation to find answers, he follows Sam around a new hidden world in his nightmares.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
- You need to have discord in order to participate. In your audition description, make sure to place your name, age and discord with its tag right next to it. Only people from 13 and older can audition.
- Do NOT audition for a character that is not your ethnicity/race. If I see you try to get a part as a poc character and find out you are in fact not a person of colour, you will not be given the part. We have plenty of white attributes for you to audition for and giving a role like James's or Velma's to a white VA proves to me that shows don't want to give actual poc people a chance to voice characters of their race and culture.
- Do not have bad mic quality, and when I say bad quality I specifically mean don't have people talking in the back of your audios. I can understand that you don't have the money to buy an extremely expensive microphone, but I do know you have a closet. It doesn't even have to be a closet, as long as I can hear you and only you is what counts.
There's so many talented actors in this world, and I'll be jumping up with joy when I get to listen to all of your auditions. With that in mind, thank you for reading this and have fun!

(Coy) "Test? (Chuckles) Velma, you sound menacing."
(Reassuring) "You impress me every time, James. You've got talent."
(Uncertain) "I'm not a monster. Someone that I loved told me that I'm my own person, so why isn't that true?"
Additional notes: His voice is very vocal when it comes down to changing his tone/pitch.

Additional notes: His voice goes quite deep and timid in some situations (e.x. Talking about his nightmares, Sam, etc.)

Additional notes: Velma reminds me of Velma from Scooby Doo. I had no intent of creating her to feel related but it adds a nice touch to her character.

Additional notes: His voice sounds kind of cartoonish in my head, like something out of adventure time.

Additional notes: Sam has a lot of rash in her throat, not too much but not too little either.

Additional notes: He is very good at persuading others because of how genuine his voice seems at first. Other times, he sounds almost dead.

Additional notes: She was originally going to be an archivist before I decided to make her a journalist. This isn't important in any way, just fun to see my characters change. She could do an amazing reporter voice if she had the choice to.
